Peerless Battle Spirit

Chapter 1911 Qing Liu

“Such a special disguising art,” Qin Nan’s eyes flickered with astonishment.

It would be extremely useful if he could learn the art too.

“Master Qin, I’m afraid Junior Brother Yuanji is the only person in our Ancient Bodhi Temple that can use the art. He’s born with the Flesh of Bodhi, one of the Top Ten Ancient Flesh,” Yuanjue explained as if he could read Qin Nan’s mind.

“Oh my, you have the Flesh of Bodhi? Why didn’t you use its power when we were in danger before?” Doom’s eyes widened.

“What do you know? I was keeping it as a trump card to turn the tables around when it’s necessary,” Yuanji explained himself righteously without blushing even by the slightest.

“It seems like Yuanji has a lot of secrets…”

Qin Nan thought, but he was not too bothered by it.

He too had a lot of secrets.

“There are a lot of dragon meat left. We’ll go after we finish them.”

Yuanji sat down and took out a few jars of precious immortal wines.

Half an hour later, the trio went to the teleporting formation in the Bodhi Prayer City. They used the formation to teleport them to the Heart-Cleansing Temple.

“Such a marvelous temple.”

Qin Nan lifted his gaze. Immortal flames flickered in his eyes.

In front of them stood an enormous mountain. The rocks and everything else on the mountain were emitting a faint golden flow after being exposed to the Bodhi intent for long periods.

Stairs of ancient jades were built from the mountain foot to its top.

Three enormous strange boulders stood at the top of the mountain like giants. The Heart-Cleansing Temple was built on top of these boulders. It was emitting a brilliant Bodhi glow. Its light spread across the rift nearby.

In addition to it, a formidable power was accumulated within the temple, even Qin Nan was unable to peek at it with his Immortal Eyes of the Divine God of Battle.

Yuanji explained along the way, “Our Ancient Bodhi Temple has a secret technique that allows us to build temples and Bodhi cities, and recruit disciples to gather the energy of the incense and improve our cultivation.”

“This Heart-Cleansing Temple has been around for over a thousand years. The energy it has gathered from the incense is utterly shocking. Since Liujie is now in charge of the temple, you should keep an eye out for him, in case he uses the will of the temple against you.”

Qin Nan nodded.

They eventually reached the top of the mountain. They entered the temple.

Qin Nan was immediately surrounded by the presence of the incense, the chants of the sutras, and voices.

To his surprise, it did not feel chaotic.

“Yuanji, Yuanjue?”

“Why are they here?”

“Quick, tell First Senior Brother!”

A few disciples in the temple were startled as if they had just encountered their enemy when they saw Yuanjue and Yuanji. They swiftly transmitted their thoughts.

Many visitors of the temple were astounded.

“How impolite, these people didn’t even greet their Senior Brothers. That Liujie has failed to teach them well!” Yuanji harrumphed.

“Amitabha, may I know why Senior Brothers have come all the way here?”

A figure suddenly showed up in front of them and held his palms together when they entered the main hall.

Qin Nan glanced at the man. He slightly raised his brows.

The man’s cultivation had reached the peak Heaven Immortal Realm. He had achieved the Lesser Success Stage of the Dao Realm too.

“Huiyi, I’m looking for the person-in-charge of this temple. It’s none of your business. Off you go,” Yuanji said. His expressionless face granted him an imperious bearing.

“Amitabha, Senior Brothers, I’m sorry, he’s meeting three important guests. The elders are inside too. They won’t be able to receive you…”

Huiyi turned them down right away.

“It seems like your wings have hardened since we last met a few months ago. I shall see how much you have improved.”

Yuanji let out a hollow laugh. He unleashed his aura and waved his hand. Countless chants of sutras echoed in the surroundings.

“Was he seriously using violence here?”

The crowd and some newly recruited disciples were astounded.

The Bodhi cities and temples under the Ancient Bodhi Temple strictly forbade using violence in their vicinity, unless the two sides had agreed to a Duel of Will. Otherwise, they would be treated as provoking the Ancient Bodhi Temple.

“You…”

Huiyi’s eyes flickered angrily. He did not expect the man to be so reckless.

“Amitabha, are you making fun of yourselves in front of the others? Huiyi, back off, let Yuanji and Yuanjue come inside.”

An imperious voice soon came out of the main hall.

“Yes, elder.”

Huiyi withheld his anger and moved to the side.

Yuanji harrumphed before leading Yuanjue and Qin Nan into the main hall.

“This is…”

Qin Nan was startled as soon as he went inside.

The main hall was extremely spacious. It was roughly a few hundred thousand zhang wide, with rows of golden Buddhas with strong auras at the back. There were futons placed on both sides of the hall.

Many monks and cultivators were sitting on the futons.

The center of the hall was made of faint blue slabs with a round pattern of over thirty thousand zhang wide.

A bald young man with white brows was hovering above the pattern in a sitting posture. He was holding purple-golden beads in his left hand and a white jade mallet in his right hand. He was hitting a wooden fish while murmuring under his breath.

A shocking Bodhi intent was rising constantly behind him. Its aura of the Peerless Ruler Realm surged in all directions.

In front of the monk were two men and a woman encapsulated in immortal glows. They were unleashing different wills of their Arts of Dao Seeking. The wills were slashing at the Bodhi intent like three immortal swords.

The round diagram under them had blocked most of their will, yet Qin Nan could still feel the dangerous ripples within it.

“Yuanji, I must warn you. Liujie is currently in the middle of a Duel of Will with someone else. If you dare to interrupt now, even your master won’t be able to save you,” a monk with the cultivation of the peak Peerless Ruler Realm warned sternly.

He briefly glanced at Qin Nan before moving his gaze away.

“Don’t worry, Great Elder, only someone like Liujie will do such a thing, I’m not that kind of a person,” Yuanji chuckled.

The Great Elder, the elders, and the rest shook their heads. They were well aware of the grudge between these two.

“Master Qin, it seems like we aren’t in luck today. We didn’t expect Liujie to be in the middle of a Duel of Will against the Exceptional Genius of the Superfluous Lifeless Sect, Qing Liu. We might have to wait for a while…” Yuanjue transmitted his voice to Qin Nan.

“That’s fine…wait, did you just mention the Exceptional Genius of the Superfluous Lifeless Sect?”

Qin Nan waved his hand, but his eyes flickered as he suddenly realized something.
