Chu He was awakened by a series of rustling sounds.

"Let's go home and rest tonight. Tomorrow, I'll hire two nannies to take turns looking after her."

Mu Yanchen paused for a moment, then asked, "Will this do? How could I be at ease leaving you alone in the hospital?"

"You're being too biased!" Mu Yanchen snorted. "Instead of being with your own man, you're actually keeping a woman company."

"How… how can I keep you company?!" Meng Qingxue's face was burning. She lowered her head and mumbled, "I'm pregnant… how can I be sleeping with you?!"

"What are you thinking?" Mu Yanchen was amused by her concerns. "No matter how deranged I am, I will never do anything to my pregnant woman! You're pregnant, what do you expect me to do to you?! I just want to go to sleep hugging you. Can't I do that?"

Meng Qingxue looked at him doubtfully. "Is that really all you're thinking?"

Mu Yanchen smiled in satisfaction. He circled his arms around her neck and gave her a light kiss. Meng Qingxue placed the supper she bought on the table and allowed Mu Yanchen to lead her away.

Chu He sat up, her face expressionless as she glanced at the supper on the table and shook off the scene of display of affection that she had just witnessed.
