Gu Chaoyan took a seat, read some of Li Yuanxiang’s medical books and did not put them down until Li Yuanxiang finished her work and came to her side. She asked, “Finished?”

Li Yuanxiang nodded. Then she showed Gu Chaoyan the medical pills in her hands.

“I used the best medicinal herbs in the college, but the result is still unchanged. The Dean said that it is worse than yours, but I can’t figure out a better way.” Li Yuanxiang looked very bitter.

Gu Chaoyan smelled the pills.

Li Yuanxiang put away the medicine cheerfully, then she asked curiously. “Chaoyan, what are you doing here, anything I can do for you?”

Gu Chaoyan nodded. She was reminded of what she wanted.

“I am holding my Adulthood Ceremony in winter. Would you like to be my witness?” Gu Chaoyan asked. She believed that Yuanxiang would say yes if she was not busy, but Li Yuanxiang looked very embarrassed.

With her eyes upon Gu Chaoyan, she hesitated and had no idea how to put it.

Gu Chaoyan could tell that she was hesitant, so she asked. “What is it?”

Li Yuanxiang sighed.

“Ever since I was accepted to Saint College, my father heard that me and you as well as Lord Yu are friends, he keeps coming to my mother and wants to get my mother back. My mother asks me not to show a close relationship with you on the surface, otherwise my father will keep pestering my mother. If I attend your ceremony and my father finds out about that, he is going to bother my mother again,” Li Yuanxiang said hesitantly.
