Mr. Fang's Feisty Mistress

398 Wedding Day (II)

Ever since Zhang Liling and Tungmei were caught playing around by Song Jujing and Jian Cuifen, they had been in the doll mode respectfully.

From little children playing around, they turned to grown adults that knew their left from their right.

They were already guilty as charged.

After retouching her make-up again, Zhang Liling took a few pictures with her both mothers before getting ready to take her wedding vows.

On the other hand, Fang Bingwen was already standing in front of the door to the hall where their vows will be taken.

And beside him was Li Chuanli.

"Man, I can't believe that this day came for someone like you." Smiling hard, Chuanli hit his arm playfully.

Giving him the side glance, Fang Bingwen asked, "What is wrong with someone like me?"

What exactly was he trying to say about his character?

Sweeping his gaze from his head and down to his feet and back to his face again with a finger under his jaw, Chuanli observed him.

"You used to look like someone not interested in marriage, but seeing you now, you have changed. This is all thanks to finding the bone of your bones, and the flesh of your flesh."

"Are you quoting the Bible now?" Fang Bingwen retorted.

"Ignore it. What is important now, is that finally, you will be taken off the market in a moment from now."

Dr. Li looked very proud of himself seeing his friend ready to take a lifetime vows with the woman he helped to get into his good books.

In his mind, he was already considering himself to be a matchmaker.

Thinking back to the little tips he gave to Zhang Liling then, he was tempted to tell Fang Bingwen about it.

'Who knows how his reaction will be?'

One thing, Chuanli was sure, was that he was not going to react strongly since he now had mutual affection for Zhang Liling.

At most he would get scolded a little for meddling in his affairs, nothing more.

For the last time, Fang Bingwen adjusted his black suit jacket just as the announced his march from inside the hall.

"I was never in the market, do I look like a commodity to you?"

As the tall double doors in front of them were opening, he quickly added, "Soon, you will be able to get married, but only if you diligently search for your other half."

Just before Chuanli who was in a matching suit could retort, Fang Bingwen already started taking small steps forward.

Left with no choice, he quickly followed.

'Look at you talking about meeting you other half. Did you ever search for one?'

Fang Bingwen never searched for a wife instead, he was the one being search for.

So he was kind of right when he said he was never in the market.

Marching into the hall in steady light steps, Fang Bingwen's gaze was ahead. No matter the cheers coming from his family and a few guests, his facial expression remained the same.

Calm and Collected.

As soon as he reached the altar and stopped, he turned to face the pathway he just walked over from as the music changed to welcome the bride.

As 'Here comes the Bride' played, Zhang Liling walked in in her magnificent wedding dress and an excited smile on her face.

It was very obvious she was a happy bride.

Taking small steady light steps as she fixed her gaze ahead, she walked toward the altar.

She was getting married to the man already standing there and waiting for her.

How lovely was that.

On a normal wedding, it was either the father or the mother of the bride that was supposed to walk the bride down the aisle but in Zhang Liling's case, things were a bit different.

She didn't want to use her father who hadn't contributed much to her while growing up, also, she didn't let her mother walk her down the aisle because of the jealous man.

She didn't want her father to be envious of the right snatched from him and make him carry face throughout the period her wedding celebration lasted hence, she opted to walk alone.

Arriving in front of the altar, she turned to face Fang Bingwen who had a calm gaze on her all along.

Smiling from under her veil, she met his gaze and couldn't help chuckling softly.

In Fang Bingwen's mind, he hoped that she would stop giggling and smiling too much. He wished for her to keep her act together and not get overly excited.

Although he thought that way, his facial expression revealed nothing.

'Finally, I'm marrying this trouble maker.' He said to himself.

Soon, the song ended as the Priest got ready to carry out the ceremony.

Taking Vows, and exchanging rings after hearing the message from the priest followed.

Next, Fang Bingwen and Zhang Liling were pronounced as husband and wife.

"You may now kiss the bride." The Priest announced and immediately a love song started to play by the choir sitting beside the altar.

Hearing that, Zhang Liling couldn't stop her smiles from forming on her face. She was that excited.

With the veil on her face now off, Fang Bingwen could clearly see the beautiful face of his bride and that expectant smile on her face.

'She really can't wait! Having studied that little woman of his for a long while, he could read her facial expressions so easily.

She was too easy to read.

Taking a step forward to close off the distance between them, he cupped her cheeks and leaned in close.

"You look very impatient." He whispered to her ear, but before she could respond, he captured her pink lips with his mouth to give her a feathery kiss that caused her heart to flutter.

As soon as their lips locked, Zhang Liling's lashes fluttered close while their wedding guests applauded them and roared excitedly.

This was indeed a ceremony that has been long awaited to be witnessed by friends and families.

It was a beautiful one to behold.
