Monster Integration

2933 Battle of Millenniums

"Elder Lord," I greeted as he materialized in front of me, and we both flew toward the battlefield, where more than forty Grand Lords were fighting, something that nobody had seen before.

More are joining; on the other side, an old snake and two Grimm Monsters have appeared; if the Grand Lords kept appearing, it wouldn't take long for the number to reach the shocking fifty.

"This is really something isn't it?" asked Elder Lord with battle spirit burning in his eyes. "Yes, never have ever these many Grand Lords have fought in one place," I replied, as I tried to move at my fastest, before getting help from Elder Lord.

My speed methods are good, but Elder Lord is still faster, and there is no shame in taking help from him, to reach the battlefield sooner.

Every moment, the battlefield grows closer and closer, and hosts of different aura's have become clear; some are familiar, while others are unknown.

I am quite happy about seeing the familiar faces, especially the one who is dancing around her opponent with illusion and enchanting laughter.

Marina will be happy to see her.

"You have done great, Michael; able to accomplish the thing we all failed to do despite having centuries," said Elder Lord, and I did not need too smart to know what he was talking about.

"My abilities are just better suited for it," this is all I could say.

Soon we got closer and felt the change appearing on the battlefield through our appearance; I felt like tens of Grimms looking at me, and some even began to change their position.

Like us, they, too, have something like the Pyramid, which share the connection with all the Grand Lord.

So, the moment I killed Anrd, they knew, and now they are running away, mostly the new Grand Lords, as they know they are not a match of me.

"Be careful, Michael; the Grimms will defiantly try something willy," said Elder Lord seriously before he spent away.

Three seconds later, he reached Lady Angela, who moved away to fight another enemy, the old snake. Like me, she could kill it before keeping it in one place wouldn't be a problem.

Now, she did not even need to fear the red-devil curse; I had designed something that would be able to handle all the red-devil curses that entered her. Though this defense is not perfect, it has many weaknesses; it would not be a problem for Lady Angela.

She had been fighting against the old snake for centuries; as long as there was no red devil, she would be able to keep it in one place.

I could have fought, but there was no use, and we both did not want that, nor did our superiors. Supreme Commander wanted me to fight other Grimms and try to kill as many as I could.

She had even told me if I could even sacrifice like one of the new Grand Lords, as long as I could get kill three Grimm with that chance.

These words shook me, but it is a reality of the war and the best strategic choice many humans have made through the thousands of years, and I might need to make it in this battle.

I hope I do not; I really don't want to do something like that.

I had just reached the battlefield when I sensed a powerful killing intent targeted at me; many Grimms were looking at me with killing intent, but this one is targeting me.

I looked and saw it coming at me like a rocket; its whole body was covered in dangerous golden-yellow flames swirling around it, threatening to burn anyone who went close to it. Even the new Grand Lords that had appeared could burn if the fire touched them.

It reached a mile away from me and stopped.

"Die Zaar!" It shouted, and a ball of energy, which it had been gathering since it came at me, transformed into a fiery lance, which it threw at me.

SUP!

My eyes turned serious and forced me to activate all three boosts as my sword appeared in my hand to deal with the lance that was coming toward me.

This was no normal attack; that fiery lance is an attack which is more powerful than the strongest attack of Arnd. It is so powerful that even in this place, where the space is so strong, the lance of it sent heated ripples through it.

It took less than a second to appear in front of me, and I felt like I was in an inferno; the only thing that was keeping me was my armor; without it, I would burn to ashes.

CLANNNG!

My sword clashed against the fiery lance, and immediately, I began to take steps back uncontrollably before stopping at the twelfth step.

A true Grand Lord of mid-level, it wasn't long before I was feeling confident with the boost from Anrd, but now a single attack from it brought me to the ground

"Mazla!" I said as I wiped the blood leaking from my lips. "You survived," It said with its expression turning serious.

It is a Mazla from the Fiery Lionmen tribe, which belongs to three fire groups. The three Grimms with the strongest fire; ranked third among them, but its fire is stronger than those Golden Fiery Werewolves, who hadn't awakened its bloodlines.

The Grimms are smart; they have sent Mazla at me, who is very good in long-range powerful attacks; they wouldn't want to take a chance after I had killed three Grand Lords.

It is also why they have stopped before I get close to the place where the new humans and the Grimms are fighting.

"But you will not survive my next attack!" It said, and swirling fire around it began to create fireballs around, which then stretched into the lances.

"Die!"

It shouted and launched a barrage of lances at me; every moment, numerous fireballs formed in the fire around it and stretched into the lances before coming at me.

SUP SUP SUP

I wanted to summon my shields to defend against this barrage, but instead, I summoned the arms. It is quite a risk, but I want to fight till I can; I could always summon my shields when things become fatal.

Twelve arms came out of me; they looked real as my arms but were made of strings, and each one of them was holding a different weapon.

CLANNNG CLANNNG CLANNNG

The nine lances came first, and my nine weapons went against them and clashed.

As they clashed, I felt like nine different mountains crashed at me at the same time, roiling my internals, sending me uncontrollably, and nearly throwing off my feet.

Things were not safe as the lances kept coming, and my weapons moved to clash against them while the clone one made changes to the defense of my armor to defend against the attack better.

It is my great fortune that I could deal with enormous energy; if it had been not for that, the colossally powerful fiery energy coming at me would have burned me apart.

Still, despite this great advantage of the attack, the bastard is injuring me with each strike till I begin vomiting the steaming hot blood and cooked pieces of internal organs.
