Ting Ting Ting

"The wraiths should have been finished by now, but they are still coming," Jim said worriedly as he gripped his sword tightly.

It had been nearly ten minutes, and I had killed thousands of wraiths, but they were still coming, and their number had increased even more.

According to information, these wraiths should have disappeared by now, and the door had become visible, but they kept coming in greater numbers.

Lester is now using all his power to deal with them and is getting tired fast; the sweat had already started building, and I could see his muscle was straining, it wouldn't be long before his movement began to slow down, and the power of his attack lessened.

Still, his performance is quite surprising, I did not think he would last this long with such powerful enemies, but he is still fighting.

I did not stop him, even after seeing him reaching the limit, just controlled the number of enemies he was fighting. He had a great talent for fighting, but it could go to waste if they did not constantly fight against their limit; only in this way would they be able to achieve the full potential of their talent.

"Why do you think this time it is so different?" I asked Jim, who had a big frown on his face when he looked at the coming wraiths.

"I don't know, but this time it is clearly different," he said, and it is different; I have asked my clone to scour through the information from all three missions before, and there is no mention of such difficulty, a Grandmaster at the level of Lestor is more than enough to clear this place, but now something different is happening.

I was planning for an exit door and even had a string attached to it, but to my great shock, the door had simply disappeared.

We will have to deal with these wraiths if we want to leave this place, and it won't be going to be easy.

Rip!

A few more seconds passed when suddenly, a ripping sound rang out; the wraiths, for the first time, were able to hit him.

The first strike was just a trailer of what was coming, as a couple of seconds later, another wraith was able to hit him, and then another; in just a few minutes, his whole body got riddled with injuries, those who are quite difficult to heal, despite having extremly good healing power, that light user enjoy.

"Lester, rest for now," I said and killed the wraith he was fighting; he did not object to the suggestion and took a step back and concentrated on healing his injuries.

Ting Ting Ting

Another ten minutes passed, and now, I am harnessing all power I have, and if the wraiths are still kept growing at such speed, I might need to activate my burst and summon more weapons.

I am not liking what is happening; while currently, the threat is something that I could handle currently, it won't be if they continue getting stronger at such a speed. It is good when things are predictable; when they are in a range of unpredictableness, dangerous things happen.

Currently, I am fighting best of my abilities while conserving as much power as possible for a big foe that might come.

The lances are quite efficient and fast, and most importantly, they give a wide range, and if one is skillful enough and has the hands that could stretch, I could kill the enemy that is close as inches away from me to meters away from with ease.

Not to mention, I am using a simple method but mountain cleaving style, which I have finally adopted in all my weapons, which makes its killing efficiency off the charts.

'First Burst!'

Finally, I activated the first burst and dealing with the wraith had become so difficult that if I did not use it, the wraiths would come at me and begin to tear me apart.

Seeing I had to activate my burst, I sent out even more strings in search of the door in this dark space, which had formation so powerful that even sneaky things like my strings would have a very hard time finding what they were looking for.

"Were you able to find something?" asked Jim, to which I shook my head; "Me too; there is seemed to be a powerful formation which is spoiling all my efforts to find an exit," he said with a sigh.

"Don't worry, we will find the door," I said, and he just nodded and closed his eyes; the next second, I saw tiny delicate, shining feathers coming out of him before they disappeared into the darkness. I could see the look of frustration appearing on Jim's face, but that did not stop him as he continued.

Hun!

Nothing had changed for the next couple of minutes till I reached very close to activating the second burst when I noticed something suddenly.

The new wraiths stopped appearing; as I realized that, my eyes couldn't help but fly open in joy, and I harnessed every power of power I could to finish off the last remaining wraiths.

Ting!

My lance stuck against the head of the last wraith and immediately filled its whole body with light, burning it till only necro-stone had remained, which my strings have captured and stored into my core.

Each of these cores is precious, and I have tens of thousands of them, which could be considered quite a fortune, even for someone like me.

"We have finished up the wraiths; the door should appear soon," said Jim, and just as he said, the darkness in front of us parted like mist, revealing the door.

The door is different from what was written in the information.

"It is grey in color, not iron," said Lestor; according to information, the door is supposed to be in the shade of iron, but it is in the shade of clear grey, without a hint of iron color.
