2513 Ordinance

"Grand Commander, you have once again promised us reinforcements, but that is just a balm to our wounds; it will only make the pain disappear for a while and not cure the disease," said Carla Redhorn, commander of one of the most important northern fortresses and loudest voice in nearly all the war meetings I had attended.

"Commander Redhorn is right; the number of Grimm Grandmaster on th battlefield had reached three hundred and thirty-two; we have barely one hundred and ninety to deal against them," said middle-aged Doral, a western commander.

The number man stated is a little small; there are recorded four hundred and forty-three Grimm Grandmasters that are still alive.

It is a huge number, and not many people are aware of it; I was only able to know due to my access which is very high; it is right below that of the Councilmen; even most High Grandmasters and some half step Grand Lords did not have such high access.

I have got it before of trust and the work I am doing, which is known to a very few people. The council and the Grand Lord are being very strict about it.

Two people had let out a small hint about it, and they were imprisoned for a day and still in prison.

Though, nearly everybody is aware that a pyramid is conducting a huge project, dedicating colossal resources. It is impossible to hide it when you have thousands of subjects who were training on the battlefields.

Thankfully, the Pyramid is able to hide the true result of the project, though they won't be for long.

Still, with the Pyramid's careful managing of whispers, it would take a few months, even a year if lucky, for our enemies to get some real idea about the project.

As these commanders say, the number of Grimm Grandmasters is rapidly expanding, and to counter that, Pyramid also released Grandmaster from the reserve, but it won't continue for long. These commanders understand that and want to make a big move to gain the edge over the Grimms.

If I did not have a complete idea of the things, I would have to agree with them.

"Grand commander; 97% of us commanders agreed that we should make a big move and will pass the ordinance in favor of our decision," said Lady Rehorn, which immediately changed the expressions of councilmembers, except for the Grand Commander.

I am quite surprised to see them getting such a high consensus.

Grand Commander has far-reaching powers, but it can be countered if the fort commanders have 80% or above consensus, which is extremly rare and has happened very few times. With such consensus, they have the power to execute their action.

Lady Redhorn seemed a little unwilling to bring out consensus, but she and other commanders fighting on the front thought it was the right way.

"Carla, Grand Commander, and the council are right in their decision. Have faith in them." said the voice, and one dark window lit up, revealing the most powerful human in the world.

Her interference seemed to have surprised the commanders, though the council and I were not. Given the facts, the Grand Lords would not let commanders do something this rash. They have stopped them before they could do something stupid.

"Since matron says the council has a plan, I will believe it, but I hope the council would act quickly before it is too late," She said and let the subject rest.

The meeting ended a minute later, but I did not get to leave. Instead, I appeared in front of the council, and three Grand Lords have also revealed themselves.

"I am doing my best, my lords; even going as far as using resources like the stainless blood soul lotus and pure soul water, among others," I said before they could say anything.

It had been only seven months since the project began, and I had done much better than I had thought; anyone had, especially after yesterday's breakthroughs. I am very sure, in two months, I will be able to achieve the target, which had seemed impossible seven months ago.

"We do not want to pressure you, Grandmaster Zaar; the number we had planned for would not be enough. We would need at least double if we want to defend against the coming attack or launch our own," said Matron Mavis.

Hearing that, a laugh couldn't help but escape from my mouth; a hundred Grandmasters were already too much, but now they are asking for two hundred, that is an insane number. Though I could achieve with the way the project is going, I would need a lot more time than just a measly two months.

"Try Grandmaster; if anyone could do it, then it would be you while we will try our everything to provide you with every resource we need," She requested with a sigh before her and other Grand Lords' windows went dark.

"Council, what is the situation of the specific resources I have asked for?" I asked after the Grand Lords disappeared.

"We have sent treasure hunting teams for it; you will get them on time," informed Lord Samual. "Try to get them fast; we need them soon," I said.

The resources I had asked for are not rare, but they are only found in ruins, and anything related to the ruins is not easy.

I talked to the council for a few more minutes and forwarded a few more requests for the resources before opening my eyes in my room.

The first thing I did was looked at the time; today was a pretty important day. I have found all the resources needed for that thing. It was quite hard, and I needed months for me to get those things, especially that last thing.

It was lady Angela who helped me in getting it; it is not just her, but other Grand Lords have also helped a lot. I had replaced more than half of the resources that Grimm had collected, including the blood as Jim and Grandmaster Salvador had suggested.
