2496 Taking The Corrupted Pool

In just a few minutes, all the energy had disappeared; it had made me quite disappointed, but I quickly got over it, seeing how big an opportunity I had experienced.

High Grandmasters would kill for such an opportunity; they search high and low for it, and I have got it without even searching for it. If they come to find out, they might just strangle me out of jealousy.

I have gained a lot; not only am I familiar with the purest essence of the first energy, but I also comprehended quite many things about it, which has inevitably increased my dominion over the worldly energy that we tyrant use.

I quickly go over the comprehension I have got before, focusing on the thing that is happening in front of me.

Sarah is making a breakthrough in the Grandmaster class, and it is one of the strangest breakthroughs I have ever seen.

There is not a hint of energy around her, not worldly energy or energy from her Inheritance source. She is not even using the resources; that tiny bit of energy she had got is helping her make a breakthrough into Grandmaster class.

An immense amount of energy poured out of her core and spread into her body and soul at the same time; two swords in front of me melted into a blob of purple steel and green, and now they have begun to merge together.

The two swords that had turned into blobs, one of them is the sword from the skeleton while the other is Sarah's totem artifact.

My seed is recording everything; these are not simple weapons.

One of them is a totem artifact created from the very powerful Inheritance, and the other is a sword, likely belonging to the same Inheritance but at a much lighter level.

Now, seeing them merging together, I couldn't help but wonder how powerful the weapon would turn out; combining Sarah's own power, the strength Sarah would be able to project would be horrifying.

It is a good thing; I have got my own advancements; otherwise, in front of Sarah, I would have had to bring out my shields. Though it would still be extremly difficult for me to defeat Sara, how difficult I would only be able to find out when she completes her breakthrough and I fight with her.

Nine minutes later, the blob is completely merged and seeped inside her, and a second after that, a truly terrifying Grandmaster class aura shot out of her.

It is not the power that is horrifying, but her level, which is an initial  Grandmaster, but the power she has is of the peak Grandmaster.

It is due to the core; the core they created helped them stretch their limits to the limit. Each of them packed so much power that those of the same level without the core could not compete with it, which is why those truly talented and intelligent like Sarah created a core before reaching the Grandmaster class to gain this great advantage.

"Congratulations," I said as she opened her eyes.

Such a big moment is witnessed by truly trusted people, and even though there is enmity between us, I could say this at least as fellow humans. I am also very glad, as today the human race has gained another exceptionally powerful Grandmaster.

She would not take a long time to reach the High Grandmaster and, even though I did not want to say it, have a real shot at Grand Lord class.

I am saying it is due to her talent or Inheritance, but it is due to the zeal she has; the kind zeal she has is very hard to see. Though such zeal is a double edge sword, if not controlled properly, one might crash and burn with it.

"Thank You," She said, and her voice was surprisingly normal; the usual coldness she had toward me was missing, but the next second it returned in her eyes.

"I will take this corrupted pool," staking my claim on it before she could say anything about it. It surprised her as she looked at the pool for a moment before looking around the whole sanctum.

I not only want the pool but also the skeleton that is in the center of it. It is completely corrupted, and when it merges with the pool full, it will increse the power of the corruption inside even more.

"Fine, but I want those wings and staff," she pointed at two artifacts. "You can take them," I accepted. I could feel those two meant something to her, and if I wanted a better deal, I could negotiate, but I did not.

I do not have any need for those artifacts, and vying for them would make our already bad relationship worse.

Not to mention, the only artifact I have an interest in other than the corrupted pool is a blue gem. I  don't know what it does, but it seemed interesting.

"Here is the key to breaking the formation," I said, and a huge formation materialized in front of me. Seeing that, a clear surprise appeared on her face, but a second later, she wore the glove and scanned the formation before touching the formation connecting the pool.

Hun!

A few seconds passed, and unlike before, the formation did not break; Sarah frowned before she turned to me.

"The energy crystal I am using is not powerful enough," she informed. It did not surprise me, the level of the artifact is quite high, and I have confidence in the formation I had created, so there could be only one problem.

"This should fix it," I said and threw the pale brown finger size energy crystal at Sarah. She caught it and placed it inside the glove before putting her hand back on the formation.

Buzz!

A few seconds later, the formation buzzed as it began to unravel, and soon the whole corrupted pool was ready to be taken.
