2450 Crystal Crown

"How can I forget about it!" I said I hit my temple lightly; I was looking at the Frogman, which lies in two parts in the center of the garden.

Most of its body had already eaten away the death and metal energy, and what remained would be eaten away in a few hours. Which is quite regretful; the bastard had bloodline and was strongest among all Peak Grandmasters; harvesting it, I would have received quite a boost.

I shook myself off those thoughts and focused on the important thing. It is not the Grimm I was looking for but the white crystalline crown. I had helped them against the dense energies, and it would help me too if I got my hands on it.

I just hope it is not damaged; it did not look like it was damaged, but nothing could be said.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes before opening them several seconds later. When I did, a finger-thick rope of strings came out of my hand and moved toward the center of the garden with the aim of getting a crown.

A single string would not be enough, nor would be a hundred; if they had, I would have easily walked into the garden with the protection of my armor.

The rope has over three thousand strings, as much as I could bring out; I need it to be strong to reach the center of the garden and bring it back the crown.

The rope moved into the garden like a snake under the dense metal and death energies. At every inch, the energies would get thicker and add more pressure on the rope, but despite that, it kept moving, and finally, twelve minutes later, it had reached the center of it.

The pressure the rope feels is immense, so immense that if I had skimped on the strings making the rope, I would have been destroyed by those thick energies.

I did not waste any time and made the rope to wrap around the crystal crown and the storage band of the Grimm Monsters before pulling back the ring.

The storage seemed to be in good condition; only slight damage could be seen on the surface. After some inspection, I know its spatial enchantments inside are still fine, which couldn't help but make me take a sigh of relief.

I had already lost the Frogman; I did not want to lose its storage.

Eight minutes passed, and finally, the rope came back, bringing the huge crown and storage to me. The storage band is big, but it is still much smaller than the white crystal crown, which nearly comes up to my chest.

'I could not wear this thing; this artifact should have a size reduction function,' I thought and picked up the crown in my hands and inserted my soul sense inside it.

There is a size reduction formation inside it, and its size begins to reduce at a visible speed. I also came to know about the other things and, most important, that this is not a rechargeable artifact like most artifacts but a spent artifact.

They are a little similar to one-time use artifacts; the only difference is these can be used multiple times till all their energy run out.

It still had a lot of energy; the Frogman had barely used 1% of it. So, I do not have to worry about its charge running out unless I plan to stay for days or weeks.

Buzz!

I placed the crown on my head and activated it; just as I did, the pure white energy began to spread from the crown and covered my whole. Even Ashlyn, who sits on my shoulder, got covered in this pure white energy.

Step step step!

With that done, I walked toward the garden, and the closer I got to it, the more awe I felt toward it.

A few minutes later, I reached the edge of the garden and saw the destroyed plants and shining bones, which seemed to breathe in the energy around them.

Earlier, when I had seen them through Ashlyn's eyes, I couldn't help but feel greed for them. Usually, the bones crumbled after thousands of years, but these bones did not; instead, they begin to absorb the death energy in the environment and became good conductors of them.

As I stepped into the garden, I released a hundred strings; each one coated with the white energy of the crown, and they spread all around me to harvest the resources.

Most of the resources of hundred-some meters of gardens edge have been destroyed, but it did not matter to me. These dregs might not be useful to others, but they are useful to me; as long as they have herbal properties in them, their condition doesn't matter.

Hun!

My strings were collecting fallen and squished resources when suddenly, I felt something through them. A long bone side of my body, which is absorbing and releasing like the rest of the bones, but unlike the other bones, it did not have runes on it.

It also isn't giving off the same feeling of extreme dangerousness as others.

I wanted to take the bone immediately, but I controlled my greed. The bone is not giving off any dangerous feeling that does not mean it is not dangerous. I will take the bone, but now is not the best time to take it.

Half an hour passed, and with the help of my strings, I collected all the destroyed plants and some that survived the distraction.

Three small building-sized piles have appeared in my core; one is giving off intense death elemental energy, the second pile is giving off powerful metal elemental energy, and the third is giving off an aura of both.

These are just the destroyed resources, and I haven't touched the resources that hadn't been destroyed. There is a lot of them despite Grimms collecting a huge number of them, and I am going to take them all.

Most of the resources I have collected in the runes were of non-herbal type as the herbal type resources in the rooms have disappeared over the thousands of years the rune drifted into the space, but here there is a lot, and they are going to help me tremendously in achieving my objective.
