2440 The Treasure Rooms III

"Hanriom's Bark," I whispered as I looked at the peculiar shade of dried green moth covering the piles of the bark placed on top of each other.

Of the list of five, this is the second most precious treasure that Grimms are searching for, and I have found it before they have, but taking it would not be easy as taking the other resources out of the rooms as the formation of this room is broken.

It did not matter, though; even if the formation had been broken into ten pieces, I would have tried to get it. I have seen the zeal the Grimms are searching the resources here, and I could not let it fall into their hands. I am very sure that once they see it, they will try their all to get it.

Soon my avatar copied the broken formation and began to solve it while the calibrator appeared in my hand, and I started to crack the formation it was working on before.

Every minute is precious here, and if I could use my time to gain more resources, I would use it, especially when the resources are extremely rare.

The resource in the room my avatar was trying to break before was extremely rare, even rarer, and more useful than hanrioms bark; it would help me and the project a lot.

Buzz!

Twenty-two minutes later, I cracked the formation and used it in the room, and a minute, a door opened, and I walked inside.

Inside the room, there are hundreds of tiny runic boxes the size of adolescents fist, and each little box will have a blue leaf inside it. The leaf had dried up after thousands of years, and like all the resources, its grade had also receded, but even in this state, the aken leaves are still extremely precious.

There are five hundred and two boxes that still have the Aken leaf in them, while the other few thousand only contained the dust.

I did not leave them behind; even the dust of aken leaves is precious; many Grandmasters would be a high price for it considering its uses.

I did not stay even a minute inside the room; I went inside, collected the resources with the help of hundreds of strings, and walked out; everything was over within thirty seconds.

After that, I went to the other room on my list and scanned its formation with my calibrator before beginning to solve it. My avatar is still working on the broken formation, and it will take some time before it produces any result.

One hour and forty-seven minutes passed when finally my avatar had solved the formation; by that time, I had entered another room and collected the resources from there.

Buzz!

A minute later, the formation activated, and the cracked gap was stabilized. There was no way to solve the formation as many of the runes missing, so I stabilized the crack, which was the quickest way for me to harvest the resources.

"Be quick," I said to Ashlyn, who had become smaller than my thumb.

Chew Chew

She chirped at me with confidence and flew toward the gap while I watched her with trepidation.

These formations are extremely complicated with tens of facets; they not only create a robust defense, but there are many sensors. If I wanted, I could have widened up the crack and walked inside, but I am not good as Ashlyn at stealth.

Ashlyn could completely hide her life energies and is extremely fast and not to mention her size, which is quite small.

It barely took a second for Ashlyn to reach the bark, and she flapped her wing toward it; just as she did, all the bark disappeared, and she flew back toward the crack.

Hun!

She had covered half of the distance toward the crack when suddenly change occurred; the energies began to pile up and inside it and begin crackling at an extremely fast speed. In a fraction of seconds, they have become so powerful that they would have melted my defense.

"Are you fine? Those energies did not injure you, did they?" I asked as hurriedly as Ashlyn appeared beside me.

Chew Chew

She chirped while shaking her head before disappearing into my core before getting out a second later after she deposited a huge pile of hanrioms bark in my core.

Sigh!

A second later, a piece of hanrioms bark appeared in my hand; I inspected it for a couple of seconds before taking a huge sigh of relief and placing it back into my storage.

There is one more reason why I don't target broken rooms aside from them being difficult to crack and extremely dangerous.

The resources inside them are contaminated; there are thick metallic and dead energies here. These energies have destroyed and contaminated many resources of the broken rooms, and unless they are very important, like hanrioms bark, I will stick to the perfect condition rooms.

A day and a half passed, and I did not see the end of these rooms; there seemed to be an unlimited number of them. They are spread in every direction, and if one does not have a map, they will be searching for days to find what they need.

I did not have a map, and thankfully, nor did the Grimm Monsters, or at least they don't have a specific map showing what was contained in each room. If they had it, I would have been powerless to stop them from getting what they wanted.

"Father, we are getting close to you; there is a distance of only three miles between us," Nero said, stopping me dead in my tracks.

A second later, a smile couldn't help but appear on my face; it was good news for me; it meant I now had the power to act against them if the chance presented itself.

While three miles is a small distance for people like us that we do not need even a breath of time to cross it, here it is huge.

There is no straightforward way here, and in between us, there are tens of rooms; even if Grimms know I am, they would not be able to do anything with the speed they are breaking the formation.
