2198 Strange Gems

The silver metallic door that Rhea had pointed out is different from all the doors we have broken so far or seen in the manor's rooms. It is metallic, while the door of all the other rooms is wooden.

Which means it is different than other rooms. It might contain the great treasures as Rhea is hoping, or it might contain something that is totally useless to us, or the worst, it might be empty like that room on the first floor.

The design on its doors was quite strange, and we had thought it might contain something unique, but we have found it empty. I hope something like that would not happen with this room; it would be a huge time waste.

"Sure,"

I said, and my eyes lit up as they scanned the formation, and the next second, a surprise couldn't help but lit up in my eyes as I found the formation is quite difficult. It is on the same level as the one on the manor gate.

It took my avatar twelve minutes to break the formation before I took out the air pen and runes began to come out of it.

Click!

The formation was created, and it stuck on the door, stunning the formation. Rhea gripped the handle and opened the door. She was about to step into it when she stopped, and I, too, had stopped when I looked inside.

"Fuck, we have found an absolute treasure," She said after a second and went inside with me behind her.

It is an office, a big one at that, and in the condition that could be said ideally seeing old this ruin is. Nearly 60% of the stuff inside is in near perfect condition, and there is one thing that is giving my runes the most intense reaction.

As I had said, it is a big office, with a big desk and elaborate chairs with bookshelves filled with books.

My heart pained when I saw two of five bookshelves being turned to rubble, but I found some light when I saw not all the books had turned to dust. I could see some books in the ruble which seemed to be in good condition.

"I want this desk and all the chairs; I have wanted such a good set for quite a while but did not get even after exploring so many runes. I also want books; my book collection is quite small," Rhea said as she looked around.

"Not books, all of them are mine," I said without hesitation. I could compromise on anything but not books.

Rhea looked at me and saw my expressions; she glared at me. "Fine, you can have the originals, but I want the copies," She said. "You will have the copies," I replied and moved toward the desk, as the thing that is giving my runes intense hunger is in the desk.

There seemed to be some stuff on the desk, but it had turned dust, except for the rectangular clay tablet. It seemed like the runic protection of the table did not extend to the things that were placed on it.

I scanned the formation on the table and started breaking it, it was quite tough, but I was able to break it in eleven minutes.

Crack!

The formation broke with the crack, and a smile appeared on my face, "Let's see what it has," I said and walked toward the table.

"Everything on the table is mine," She said, to which I smiled. "No, the table is yours; everything found on it will be divided equally," I said to which she pouted angrily.

The table had three drawers and a cabinet; I opened the cabinet and found nothing but dust inside. Shaking my head, I moved toward the drawers.

I know where the thing my runes are sensing is; it is in the second draw, but I did not open it directly because I did not want to draw out the unnecessary suspicion.

I opened the first drawer with hope, even if it did not have the thing I wanted, I could hope, but I was hoping for nothing as I did not find anything but dust. Taking a disappointed sigh, I closed the first drawer and opened the second.

The first thing I saw was the dust, but soon my eyes fell on the two objets which were shining inside the drawers.

I took out the two objects, which are turned out to be gems; one is blue and while other is violet. It is the violet one that is giving my runes an intense feeling which became ravenous the moment I picked it.

These gems looked like an elemental gems, but when I scanned them in my soul. I was hit with a peculiar blast of energy that froze me for a moment; it is a good thing I only scanned on gem; otherwise, the reaction would have been more intense.

"Do you know what these gems are?" I asked Rhea and handed her gems, and a few seconds later, she too froze, and she did for a couple of seconds, and when she came out, they widened in shock before they began to shine.

"I don't know what these gems are, but I want them," She said and was about to place them in her storage when I stopped her.

"I also want them," I said. "Fine, since we both want them, we both will take one each," She said, to which I shook my head.

"How about you give those gems to me, and I will give you something equally good," I said, and a thoughtful expression appeared on her face.

"Its better be a good thing, Micheal; I could tell these strange gems are at least a Grandmaster class resources, might even be Grand Lord class," she said as she looked at me intensely.

While my runes only want the violet gem, the peculiar energies got me curious about the blue one too.

"Don't worry, you will not be disappointed," I said and threw a crystal box at her. It is a thing I have found not long ago, it is one of few things that the second vidette I had killed had in its storage, and it is the perfect thing for Rhea.
