Though they were birthed with the intent to show no mercy to those that looked like them, the primitive humanoids were at a loss after finding out that all they could see around them…

Was just more them.

With their purposes unfulfilled, most of them decided to stay where they were and rest, while some of them had decided to move about to see if they could find anything interesting.

Of course, those that decided to move about did convey to the others that they had seen some kind of entity from afar at some point through a rudimentary form of language.

However, with many of them staying in their spots, almost all of the primitive humanoids felt that those humanoids were lying, instead thinking that the latter had made the whole thing up.

Well, that was the case until something peculiar began to happen.

Rumble…

Just as the primitive humanoids more or less accepted the fact that they had been brought to some barren field for no reason, the ground underneath them began to madly shake.

Looking in the direction as to where the rumbling began, the primitive humanoids soon saw a tower made out of earth gradually growing from the ground.

Though its increase in height was somewhat slow, it only took a few minutes for the tower to be twice as high as their height.

By the time half an hour had passed, the tower had already surpassed a few dozen meters in height, prompting those that looked at it to tilt their heads if they wanted to look up at the top.

Nevertheless, the tower eventually stopped increasing in height, with the top being a solid one hundred meters off the ground.

Wondering why a tower made out of earth had appeared out of nowhere, the primitive humanoids continued to look at the tower for clues, hoping to find something out of the norm.

With their considerably high perception, it did not take long for them to notice an entity standing near the edge of the tower's top whose appearance was vastly different than theirs.

Though some of them had felt like their calling had finally arrived, most of the primitive humanoids still remained rooted in place, considering how it wouldn't be that easy to surmount such a large gap in height.

However, out of nowhere, a large ball of flames struck at the center of the territory they occupied, causing those directly hit by it to take a bit of damage.

Furious, the primitive humanoid looked around their surroundings to find out who had thrown the fireball at their kin, only for their gazes to eventually land on the entity that stood at the top.

"That's right. I did it."

"So what?"

Even though the entity's words sounded like gibberish to them, the primitive humanoids could still sense the mockery laced within each word spoken by the being, as well as its overall body language.

Though, if one were to ask the primitive humanoids as to what was the final nail in the coffin that spurred them to head to the tower…

It would be the fact that the entity began to show only their middle fingers to them.

They did not know why the entity did that.

But for some reason, it greatly infuriated them from seeing it.

"Huh. That worked out better than I thought."

Seeing almost all of the primitive humanoids beginning to head towards the tower of earth he had made, a slightly confused smile appeared on Valyr's face as he thought about how he taunted the humanoids to come to where he was.

In the end, he decided not to think about the matter any further, instead focusing his attention towards the tower he had built using [Intermediate Earth Manipulation].

With the help of his maxed out skill and the copious amounts of mana potions in his spatial bracelet, Valyr was able to erect a tower that was of a similar height to the buildings he would use to position himself on while fighting against the quadrant leaders.

Though, unlike the buildings that made up the city quadrants, the tower of earth he erected occupied a far larger space.

After all, unlike the sturdy materials and reinforcements used to make the buildings within the quadrants, the only material Valyr used to create the tower was purely earth.

Of course, with the help of [Intermediate Earth Manipulation], he was able to compact the earth within the tower as tight as he possibly could.

With him adding [Intermediate Fire Manipulation] into the mix, the material making up the tower was as sturdy as it could be, giving Valyr confidence that it would handle the force of the primitive humanoids with how wide it was.

 "Grraaaaggghhhh!!!"

Hearing the primitive humanoids let out their trademark roars as they got nearer to the tower, Valyr took in a deep breath as a faint smile crept up on his lips.

Positioning himself by the edges of the tower, he aimed his arquebus at one of the nearer primitive humanoids before proceeding to activate [Extended Charge].

Rumble…

Having experienced the process of charging up the skill beforehand, the young man maintained a calm expression on his face as he bade his time, continuing to watch the primitive humanoid he had targeted.

Then, feeling as if the skill had reached its cap, Valyr let out a faint sigh as he thought that now was the time to fire the shot.

However…

"Should I activate some of my buffs… or should I see how much damage I deal without the buffs?"

Comparing the stats between the primitive humanoid he had killed with the overpowered shot to the primitive humanoids that surrounded his tower, Valyr was at a crossroads on what he should do.

Though, in the end, he decided to go with a mix of both.

"[Refined Offense Aura]."

Feeling his offensive properties go up by a notch, Valyr wondered how nice it would be to kill the beings below him without needing to rely on any of his stat boosting buffs.

Nevertheless, it was better to be safe than sorry.

"[Intent Seed of Shadow Energy]."

"…"

"[Full Burst]!"

Bang!

'-165,905!!!'

Watching the faint blue bullet whiz through the air, Valyr soon witnessed the bullet make direct contact with the head of the primitive humanoid he targeted, causing its head to explode into chunks of flesh and blood.

In response, the primitive humanoids in the vicinity of the one shot stood in silence for a bit before shifting their gazes towards the young man that stood at the top of the tower.

With an expression of rage, these primitive humanoids let out bestial roars once more as they flared out their intents.

What was previously a feeling of infuriation towards the young man that stood at the top…

Was now changed into a feeling that could only be resolved with the other side's death.

But of course, Valyr couldn't care less as to what the primitive humanoids dealt.

"One down."

After all…

It was either him that's going down…

Or them.

"Nine hundred and ninety-nine to go."
