Huo Yao gathered her thoughts and looked at her eldest uncle. She wanted to find the chance to take his pulse, and the opportunity had just presented itself.

She nodded and said, "I learned some Chinese medicine from an old Chinese physician when I was in the countryside. I recall that you have some old health problems. After you are done here, shall I take your pulse?"

Huo Jinfeng wanted to turn her down but the moment he saw the look in her eyes, he automatically changed his mind. "Okay."

By the time they were done in the garden, 30 minutes had already passed.

"No one has chatted with me like this for a long time. I'm very happy today," said Huo Jinfeng with a smile as he looked at Huo Yao and handed the watering can to the maid.

Huo Yao could empathize with him. He had no wife and kids and he was living by himself managing this huge clan. It was lonely at the top.

"You should give yourself a break every now and then." Huo Yao spoke as she walked beside Huo Jinfeng. "My parents keep talking about you. When you have the time, you should visit them."

Huo Jinfeng simply smiled. "If I can, I will."

Huo Yao nodded. After Huo Jinfeng sat down, she rolled her sleeves and spoke unhurriedly, "Why don't you let me take your pulse now?"

She gestured for him to place his hand on the coffee table beside him.

Huo Jinfeng did as he was told. As Huo Yao took his pulse, he said, "Your third older brother passed me your meds a few times. I have to say I feel a lot better after taking them."

Huo Yao frowned after learning of her eldest uncle's true physical condition.

It was far more complicated than she expected. If he wanted to live, she might be able to ease his condition using acupuncture and medicine.

Huo Yao pulled her hands back.

Huo Jinfeng looked at her niece and saw the serious look on her face. "Is it bad?"

Huo Yao pondered with a serious look on her face and said, "Your physical condition is no good. Your chest has suffered serious damage previously. All these years, you didn't religiously take care of yourself, so you are weaker than average now."

"If I'm not mistaken, your chest often hurts. Every now and then, you also experience spasms. Even though my meds could have helped ease this condition, you didn't take them regularly, right?"

Huo Yao seemed to know everything. Huo Jinfeng looked at her in bewilderment and froze. After some time, he still did not utter a word.

It was as good as a silent admission.

The hall became very quiet. After roughly two minutes, Huo Jinfeng repeated himself. "Is it very bad?"

In reality, he knew his condition well.

If he did not see Shangguan Hou's photo today, he might have continued to not take his health to heart. Now that he had seen Mi Tong's photo, hope rekindled in his heart.

"That's right." Huo Yao nodded. She did not seem to be joking at all.

Huo Jinfeng started looking a little worried.

It did not matter to him in the past, but now, Huo Jinfeng had unfinished business to handle. He inhaled deeply and asked in a solemn tone. "Can it be treated?"

Huo Yao could not help feeling surprised.

She was mentally prepared that it would not be easy to convince him to undergo treatment. However, he seemed to have a strong will to live now.

She did not know what changed, but this was good news for her. Huo Yao paused and said, "I will give you some acupuncture treatment in a couple of days and see how it goes."

When she came over to Country M, she came with acupuncture needles. However, she did not bring them along to the Huo residence and left them at the hotel.

Huo Yao paused briefly before she retrieved her phone from her pocket and composed a text message to Min Yu.

After she was done sending the message, she looked at Huo Jinfeng. "Eldest Uncle, can I have a courier package delivered here?"
