"You are claiming there is more of the tower below, something not only hard to believe but utterly ridicules"

Latvia commented to which he rattan quickly supported by saying

"Not only that, if the entire tower, one of the largest things in this infinite world, was merely the roof, then just how gigantic should its underground structure be"

"Haha, correct, it would be massive wouldn't it"

Ephai laughed seemingly jumping in with them on the absurdity of the matter

"Something so large couldn't possibly exist, even in a world where everything is brought up in size, that's just what makes it so amazing"

They all just looked at him like looking at a lunatic, ranting about a magical world even they couldn't fathom to exist, mystery filled as the Infidome maybe they lived long enough to know what's possible and what is not

"Your doubts I understand, and I cannot solve by merely talking, only actions can let you truly understand what you have been sitting on this entire time"

"You have a way in?"

Finally asked Verbrand, as if he believed him, or just wanted to get this up and over with

"Me? Oh no no, only those blessed by nature can forge a path to the roots, being the likes of myself cannot enter no matter how capable my spatial skills get"

He stood up, his seat dissipating and from its smoke a new structure manifested, a miniature of the tower they were in

"The first floor, the entrance to your land, there you can find the chamber leading below"

The tower opened up to reveal a spot in the very middle of the first floor, shaped like a circle with many holes

"Each spot a root must fill, with the flower amid to announce her entrance, only so the stairs will open once more"

The circle started collapsing downward to form a spiral stairway, and from it the structure grew bigger, level by level the structure increased, all the way to form six more floors underneath surface level

"Do you take us for fools!?"

Gremm almost pounced at him in anger, alas, held back by Basu he couldn't beat the hell out of this wispy fellow, but his anger was shared by the elephant as he too spoke out with a warning tone

"I suggest you stop your mockery, how could we not know our own home?"

"Simple, you did not build it, taking residence after the ruling race was purged off the face of the earth, of course you wouldn't know every nook and cranny this place has to show, especially since it's hidden"

"Then how do you know?"

The voice that spoke silenced everyone, it was the commander who questioned after much silence

"Good point, let's just say I have keen eyes for secrets, plus my trades yield more than just treasures"

"And we are supposed to take your word for it why?"

"You don't have to, just try opening the stairway, until then I shan't bug you with my alliance proposal, but be warned that you would owe me that seed once the truth is confirmed"

Done with his piece Ephai dissipated on his own, leaving the hall as Latvia shouted back in annoyance

"We promised you nothing!"

Yet he did not bother answering that, as if he knew he would be paid in full, one way or another

"Did everything go well Master?"

"Hopefully, knowing how hard headed they are I doubt my words are rough to convince them to try, but their curiosity and slight trust in me after my interaction with humans could make them budge from their floor"

"And if it doesn't?"

"Well, I hope it doesn't"

If it came to that then he would have to divulge his knowledge of the secret tunnels to convince them, something he did not want to do since it was supposed to help trick Genus Insania

"Let us head off now, wouldn't want to keep everyone else waiting too long"

"Alright"

With his help the two made it out of the residence without the maid's knowledge, then out the tower and away from the terrace, there he called for his shadow to manifest Jasper

"My King, I have bad news"

Yet what came in place was Kasha, no good sign for sure

"What is the matter?"

"I have received news from home that I must assist someone coming to put an end to the human race"

'How strong is this someone?"

"I do not know, but I believe they sent in a bunch of elites with him, the current strength of the human race cannot handle any of them, only my King could stop the aggressors"

That was indeed bad news

"Hmm, return then, keep me posted on the situation"

She bowed and disappeared, in her place came Jasper

"Master, what shall we do?"

Subrina looked worried as she asked, uncensored as she might be with the human race most of the time she still wanted them to survive, it was her origin after all

"Not much we can do other than hurry to form this alliance, I believe I can get back before they arrive, or at least send the Witness back to hold them off long enough until I make it back if they do come quickly, though knowing the land around us I trust they are too far away to easily make to us"

"What if the other regions are not ready?"

"Then we will make do with what we have, not the best solution but I would rather start off the wrong foot than have my feet cut off altogether"

"...Sorry Master"

"I just…cant help you in whatever way"

As she said so she looked at her own hands, clean of any blood or wounds, how easy it must be for her compared to those risking their lives

YuJu took a moment of silence, not knowing what to say to this overly self conscious woman

"Not every tool is a weapon, similarly not every person is built for war, and while war is our everyday life in this world we still won't function if that is all we know"

Walking closer he picked her up and jumped on top of the dragon

"Without a warm home to return to we might as well have none, and someone has to keep it, so don't sell yourself short"

She replied with a small smile, holding onto his body gently and burying herself into his chest

YuJu wanted to let her down but considered giving her a few more moments like this, it wasn't every day that he would give such warm words after all
