Sitting on his throne YuJu thought over all the types of loyal servants he could acquire, bar a blood slave since Mia was the only one who would occupy that position

'I start with three Soul Slave spots, one extra for each twenty five levels'

This put him at eight spots, three of which were occupied

'Compared to that I get three spots for Soul Maids and one for Soul Guards but every hundredth level?'

He wasn't too sure but he did get that much after he crossed a hundred

'On the other hand Descendants seem to not have a limit, I am not sure about its specifics but if I only need to strengthen one of Mia's servants to a certain point then I can acquire any certain number of them I want'

There left the problem of loyalty, he knew that Mia would lose her power over the vampire as soon as they became a Descendant for they were now their own person, the only difference is that they seemed bound to the house, perhaps more in a family type of belonging than serving it

"Father"

Speaking of the devil, Zero came in with a serious look in her eyes

"The Aura Beasts have started to make a fuss, their previous illusion now broken onto a messy chaos of multiple sceneries, some attacking humans and vampires alike, some remaining stationary but most trying to flee, or so we believe, it's too hard to know exactly what they are doing without being able to spot them"

"Has Ellis awoken yet?"

"I have Master"

Following Zero into the throne room was the sleepy looking Ellis, rubbing her half open eyes with a tired look about her

"Did you sleep enough?"

"Somewhat, did Master sleep well?"

To her question he nodded, not thinking too much about it before asking her of she could help expose the little furballs' location

"Hmm, I think so? Beside my dignity aura I gained a new one, illusion, so I understand how their's work, the problem is there are too many of them so I can't break every individual illusion much less one created under the combined efforts of many"

"Don't break it then"

"Then?"

"Just make an illusion of the creature where it actually is"

Ellis's sleepy eyes opened in realization, a smile donning her face along with it

"Then I shall be on my way"

Dining her armor she headed out to help the front, if things go well then the human race would be capable of making the most of this opportunity to get out of their lower race status and be recognized as a mid level civilization

'Without a leader their formation is becoming disarrayed, sooner or later others would come into contact with their real bodies and come up with ways to deal with them'

Hopefully most of the humanity would have hit a hundred by then, if so then every single human could fend for themselves one way or another, eliminating the weakness every race had to deal with at the beginning, common people

"Let's take a look at the blood arena Mia"

"Yes Master"

Coming out of the shadows she guided him, with Zero following behind, toward the viewing seats overlooking those endless fights

Inside the pit two thralls, one with a head full of feathers and the other with a large body were duking it out, blood secreting off their many wounds as each refused to die first

"Hmm"

"As Master requested we put all the crazed thralls we had here and never allowed a moment without fighting, there hasn't been any of the expected results however"

The results she spoke of was one of the thralls evolving on its own, and that was just a preliminary result to what he actually wanted

'Are we doing something wrong here?'

He followed all the steps he read in that book, was it indeed a misleading piece of information?

'No, it couldn't be, the book looked genuine and survived for centuries, no one would waste time preserving falsehood to such an extent'

Then they were doing something wrong, or not enough time had passed, either way there was nothing he could do about it

'Keep throwing them in until they are all exhausted, if no result appears abandon this project"

Leaving the arena he had her take them to the prison where only a few thralls were kept, those retaining their sanity yet refusing to join the vampire ranks, the rest were thrown into the arena pit and the only three few sane ones were heads of divisions now

"I am sorry to say that we aren't successful in forcing or enticing them into working under us"

"Its to be expected, humans are meant to be free creatures"

"Weird coming out of a bastard like you"

The commenter almost had his head chopped off and his body blown from the inside using his very own blood but a wave of YuJu stopped the mother and daughter from taking action

Turnin to look who it was he found a man, seemingly not o old yet his hair already turned gray, hardships and worry tearing him early on

"In your eyes, I might be worse than the devil himself, in mine, the entire human race would have become near extinct if not for my efforts"

"So what? Just because you were lucky and got your powers handed to you on a silver spoon we are supposed to kneel and kowtow like some slaves? Being better doesn't make you any nobler than us"

"..."

YuJu kept quiet for a bit, gazing into those red scorning eyes, he couldn't help but form a smirk

"Delivered to me on a silver spoon? That's the thing that you do not understand, you and me started at the same line, we both began as human beings, weak, utterly weak, I even hid to save my skin when the entire world came crumbling down"

Mia and Zero frowned, that's not how they understood things to have happened

"But a coward I did not remain, I fought, I suffered, I shed blood and tears to serve the human race with every grain of my existence even when they all didn't know of mine, and for what?"

He walked closer to the cell, leaning down to look him straight in the eye

"My efforts, my fellow human's efforts, were all undone by the very world that made us suffer, crushed like we were flies, everyone I knew died before my eyes, staring at me with a smile"

The man frowned, YuJu's words weren't making any sense, whose efforts was he talking about? Had the human race gone through so much trouble while he was away?

"I learned to be cruel, to be inhumane, all because karma won't reward you to do the right thing, at least not in the Infidome"

Finishing his piece he waited for the man to give a reply, but he didn't seem to have one

"...So what do you want from us?"

"You? Nothing, you now know too much so death is the only option"

"....The others?"

"Sacrifice, someone has to do it, if no one is willing then I'll make them do it, that is the only way to rule in this world"

"Heh"

The man laughed mockingly

"This nonsense again? I just don't understand who you think you are, what allows you to decide the fate of others"

"..."

Now it was YuJu's turn to go silent, indeed he had no answer to this

In the end, he turned with a flap of his cloak and walked further down

Mia approached to silence the man's foul mouth once and for all

"Don't, throw him in the pit instead"

"Yes"

To his trailing voice Mia was more than happy to oblige, though it was unlike what she thought, he wasn't giving the man more suffering, rather…

'Let's see if you can survive and give me your answer, after killing all those crazed bloody thralls what would you think about the necessity to decide the fate of others'

Sometimes sacrifice must be achieved, for survival, for one's own benefit and others, someone had to take the lead

"We are entering the lower end of the prison Father, no one is imprisoned here"

Relayed Zero in her absent mother's steed

"No, not someone, something"

He answered with a grim expression, touching upon the last step where a metal box lay before him, bolted to the ground with chains so heavy one couldn't lift them unless they had strength equal to that of Zero's

Walking up to this box he placed his hand and allowed energy to run through it, unlocking its side with a rumbling sound as the entire thing broke into parts allowing him to view the crystal bottle and its content

"Thought I would forever keep this locked up, never thought I would use this calamity to feed another"

What monstrosity would it end up as? Hopefully, one he could control
