Master Of Myths
Chapter 112 - Unseen No Longer, Unheard No More
"Such waste"
Walking out YuJu kneaded his frowning forehead, the stinging caused by over drafting energy from the seal had yet to fade, that along the loss of his last two special daggers caused no small amount of displeasure
He suffered far too many setbacks already though making this small loss manageable, at least he didn't input any plans for them as gaining so many wasn't part of his calculations to begin with
'I'll bring the golem in and then...rest'
As tired as his body was it paled to the mental exhaustion currently plaguing the unfortunate man, even that empty plane seemed enticing at the moment
Thus without further ado he quickly made way to the golem crashed just beyond the gates and did a rough checkup on its state before flying into the big tower, much to the amazement of its citizens
He didn't need someone to guide him to the new residence as he already spotted it right next to the conference hall, it was hard to miss the new unique addition
Circling above it he tried to find the best landing spot, the courtyard however seemed way too small with all the trees filling it to fit the big ride, the roof wasn't a viable option either with spear like thorns sticking out from every corner, sure it made the place look great but not at all practical
'The balcony looks good enough'
Looking about the size of half a floor on its own it sure did, there was a large table in the center however blocking his decent
Whap!
With a whip of the dragon like golem's massive tail all the stuff, table, chairs, lamps, were shoved off the balcony, smashing down after a short fall, their state did not concern him though and he landed in a coiled manner with barely enough space
Exiting it he went through the glass door into what appears to be the second floor's dining room, there one of the maids who he recognized from the guest house had just arrived with Ellis and Anput behind
"Master, is this the place we'll be living at?"
"Temporarily, yes"
Turning his eyes to the maid he went on a questioning spree
"Did your fellow servants come along"
"Yes Sir, all of them have been transferred to your residence"
"Are there any defense mechanisms"
"Yes, would you like to see how they function?"
"No, activate all of them and set everything at the highest alert level"
"Yes Sir!"
"Guide the two around the house, I shall enter a recovering state behind closed doors, no visitors are allowed"
"As you wish Sir"
Done he walked past her only to stop for a moment, looking back with a cold merciless gaze
"And I mean No visitors"
"Yes Sir!!"
Seeing her nod with a tense expression he was assured there wouldn't be any troublesome fellowes barging in like it was nobody's business
Dismissing her to work he started walking through the nearest corridor he found, shifting one foot in front of the other aimlessly, his mind cycling through recent scenes in comparison to what they should be, starting with the prominent ones
'If I didn't blow up the smaller vaults would the sword have shown up? That doesn't make sense though, each vault had its own treasures and the largest one clearly had all the great gear'
Somehow he felt like he missed something, something crucial but couldn't quite put his finger on it
'Then there was the incident back at the eighth floor where my body absorbed blood on its own, at such a crucial moment none the less'
This one was a complete mystery to him, no clues were uncovered forcing him to move on from the memory
'The Orelic...Their appearance messed up so many things, just those little fellows death shot a tremendous amount of opportunities down'
Everything of major importance so far went wrong because of one thing or the other, it could be a small piece of unknown information like the Orelic's existence to the mystery surrounding his body's interaction with blood, what they all had in common was their inconsistency with events from the past
"Haaah, this'¦"
He stopped his aimless steps, taking in the unfamiliar surrounding he brought himself to
"..is a new residence.."
Out of habit he dismissed the maid from guiding him, forgetting that this place was newly built meaning he knew not the ins or outs of its structure, hell he didn't even know where his room was
'Can't call her back to guide me, that reveals a lot of information
He could navigate through other territory's floors like a walk in the park but not through a small residence like this? This piece of information would surely reach Aminta through the maids allowing her to cross use of divination from the list leaving a simple answer to the source of his knowledge
'Better keep them guessing'
Continuing his walk he decided it was best to take whatever room he fancied instead of one catered to him, after all who could object
Reaching a large double door room he pushed it open to reveal a neat bedroom housing only a bed, closet, and drawer
'Hmm, might have chanced upon my room anyway'
The simplistic furniture gave that feeling
Walking to the bed he fell face first into the soft material, drowning himself in the comfort of a bed for many minutes
Nothing good came out of sleeping on one's stomach though so he rolled to the side to get a better posture
'A new residence huh'¦'
The lingering thought seemed to shed some light on the issues
'Perhaps everything is going awry because of'¦.me?'
The more he thought about it the more it made sense, without cause there would be no effect and he was the only 'new' addition to the course of events
'It could be some kind of butterfly effect, but then I've been traveling around in order to avoid getting stuck in my own making, I have not disturbed any major events yet and things have turned so bad already'
Even so he couldn't help but believe it was his fault, just the lack of other reasons warranted this thought process
"Looks like I'm not as stealthy as I thought I would be"
A smirk dawned his face, it seemed he enjoyed the change rather than shunning it
'Every step I make the world shall stand witness to'
No longer was he the hidden figure that no one saw
'My words will echo through these ever changing lands'
The silent watcher was no more
"I'm no longer'¦.a bystander"
The time of hiding is over and the time to shake the world is now!
"...."
Or perhaps not now for it seems to be the man's slumber time'¦...
