Lunar Supremacy: The Original Alpha

224 Worthy of what seat ?

"What should we do, Sister Crystalyn?" one of the red-skinned humanoids asked.

"Don't worry, Bele. I already masked our aura the moment we got out, so we should be okay for now. I tried searching the aura of the other demon lords, but I can't detect any of their presence nearby. It seems like they are either a keeping a low profile or are still imprisoned,"she responded with a cautious voice .

However, deep down, she had a hunch that the latter was more likely, given their strong personalities .

Memories of the past flooded her mind, reminding her of how all the demon lords had been imprisoned by that curse long ago.

She vividly recalled the dangerous situation they had faced, and at one point, she had even considered ordering for Xavier execution,  as she had suspected that he would betray them in the end.

However, the complacency of all the Demon Lords had ultimately led to their imprisonment. The only reason they had survived that perilous day was thanks to the Immortality Blessing that had protected them from death's clutches.

She knew better than to get complacent now that she could only rely on herself and her sister. Though she was a demon lord, she knew that her little sister was the only one capable of fighting toe to toe with the other beings on par with the demon lords and old gods. Even Diablo was not a match for her sister's power.

"Okay, Sister Crystalyn. I will just follow you as always," Bele replied, showing unwavering trust in her sister's judgment.

She had always relied on her big sister's guidance, often following to Crystalyn's decisions. She was fully aware of being somewhat lazy when it came to pondering things, preferring to leave the strategic thinking and planning to her elder sister.

"For now, let's keep a low profile. I absorbed the memories of these people, and the world we knew seems different already," Crystalyn spoke.

The memories she obtained were mere fragments, offering only glimpses of the world she now found herself in.

Among these fragmented visions were images of towering structures and advanced machinery that were not present in her era.

Even more unsettling were the images of powerful weapons of mass destruction capable of obliterating entire cities. Witnessing these scenes, she couldn't help but feel that the world had become more terrifying than ever before. This revelation left her questioning what had transpired during her time of imprisonment .

"Let's go down the mountain first, transform to your human form," she ordered, and in an instant, she transformed into a normal-looking woman with long  fiery red hair.

All Demon Lords possessed the ability to assume a human form, but they rarely did so due to their pride and ego. To them, humans were considered inferior beings, and taking on a human appearance was often beneath them.

"Okay, Sister ." With a nod, Bele followed suit, assuming an identical-looking face , though her hair was slightly shorter.

The moment the two descended the mountain, the usual serenity of the place returned to normal.

However, the peace was short-lived, as a black-hole began to manifest a few minutes later, revealing a man clad in a white winter jacket.

"Those two cunning demonesses are more dangerous than Diablo,"he chuckled to himself as he observed them, both unaware of his presence.

Upon closer inspection, it became evident that this handsome man was none other than the person Evangeline had spoken to before. He was one of the most powerful individuals on Earth, a master manipulator of space.

Hidden by his mastery of spatial manipulation, the enigmatic man observed the two with a keen interest.

"Nah, that guy could handle them. He needs to at least do it to prove himself worthy of that vacant seat," he murmured dismissively, shaking his head as if losing interest.

Demon lords? Pfft, they might be a big problem for others, but they're nothing in front of him

He had the power to handle Crystalyn and Bele with ease if he wanted to . In fact, he was in no way weaker than Vincent . Yet, for some unknown reason, he chose not to intervene and simply let everything unfold.

"Oh, it's time for my part-time job. I should get back to work," he sighed, his demeanor shifting as a black hole materialized behind him. With a hint of reluctance, he allowed the black hole to draw him in once again, disappearing from sight

As he vanished into the void, the world around him resumed its usual serenity.

Pacific Ocean

Inside a middle-sized private plane, Vincent and the rest were en route to their next destination. The location of the fourth fragment had been revealed to be in New Zealand.

He lay comfortably on a bed, surrounded by four girls who were affectionately hugging him. One woman held his left hand, another grasped his right, while a third rested her head on his chest. The fourth woman found her place, wrapping her arms around his free leg, completing the intimate embrace.

Of course, they were Erika, Isabella, Selene, and Emilia.

After hours of travel, the plane finally touched down in Auckland, New Zealand.

After disembarking, the group was greeted by friendly airport staff who warmly welcomed them and offered assistance with their luggage.

Most of female staff blushed as they saw how handsome Vincent was, especially since he was accompanied by four beautiful women.

Selene had to use her ability to reduce her size even further, but she was still eye-catching due to the color of her hair. So everyone just assumed that she might be a cosplayer.

On the other hand, Isabella was fully clothed, allowing her to better tolerate the scorching heat of the sun outside. Meanwhile, Erika, despite being also a vampire was not worried at all.

Outside the airport, a car was already waiting for them. Evangeline had already arranged their accommodation, and the car was there to drive them to the most expensive hotel in the city.

As the car journeyed through Auckland, New Zealand, the scenery outside the windows unfolded  seamlessly . The city's natural beauty was on full display, with lush greenery stretching across rolling hills and valleys. Towering trees and vibrant flowers lined the streets, exuding an air of serenity and freshness.

The car passed by the waterfront, where sailboats glided gracefully on the glistening waters of the harbor. Seagulls soared above, adding a touch of liveliness to the tranquil scene. The city's architecture was a blend of modern sophistication and historical charm, with contemporary skyscrapers harmoniously standing alongside heritage buildings.

But despite this beautiful view,  Vincent couldn't help but be consumed by thoughts of the consequences that would follow once he broke the limiter.

He understood that the world would be turned upside down, and the peaceful lives of billions of people would be put at risk. The weight of such a decision weighed heavily on him.

Yet, he also recognized the hard reality that if he didn't become strong enough to defend against Fate, the world itself would face destruction. It was a true dilemma, a moral crossroads where the lives of many hung in the balance.

"No, I just need to focus on getting stronger. Everything else will be destroyed by fate regardless of my choice," he thought to himself. The weight of considering the lives of billions was beyond him. It would do him no good to consider every single peoples lives.

"I need overwhelming power," he muttered those words to remind himself not to be complacent.
