The howling wind had intensified, and the biting cold had impaired his senses, rendering Vincent temporarily blind about what was happening outside. Even his heightened sense of smell, a powerful ability he relied on, seemed to be dulled by the extreme temperature and strong wind.

While he remained vigilant, Nathan succumbed to exhaustion and had sleep already after an intense gaming session. Tired from a brutal beatdown he got from him, he had drifted off into a deep sleep, his mind temporarily disconnected from the harsh weather outside.

"Let me get some coffee. " Feeling the need for a moment of break, he carefully stood up, mindful not to disturb his friend. But As he took a step forward, his senses abruptly heightened, a tingling sense of danger coursing through his veins.

SWOOOSH!

Time seemed to slow down as his powerful reflexes kicked into overdrive. Reacting with lightning-fast speed, he barely dodged to the side, narrowly evading the deadly projectile. However, it grazed his face, causing a small stream of blood to flow. The contrast between the crimson blood and his angry, frustrated face was evident, as the drop of blood quickly solidify in the chilly air.

"CRACK."

The sound of the anti-material sniper bullet took longer to reach his ears, because the bullet travels faster than sound.

"Damn it, I almost died!" he cursed aloud, his heart still racing from the harrowing brush with death. The realization of the immense peril posed by modern weapons washed over him, and he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude for his  strong intuition which alerted him in advance. The sheer velocity of an anti-material sniper bullet, capable of reaching speeds of 2000 miles per hour, dawned on him. Without the premonition offered by his instincts, his speed alone wouldn't have been sufficient to evade the lethal projectile.

Startled awake by the sudden commotion , Nathan's eyes also snapped open, filled with confusion and concern. He quickly surveyed the scene, noticing Vincent's intense expression and the blood on his face.

"What is happening, buddy?" he exclaimed, his voice tinged with worry.

Vincent, still stabilizing his emotion, turned towards Nathan, his eyes reflecting a mix of relief that his friend was not hit by a stray bullet.

"Someone tried to take me out," he replied, his voice laced with anger.

Nathan's eyes widened, the gravity of the situation dawning on him.

"What? Who would want to harm you?" he asked with confusion in his voice.

"I don't know , but don't worry, I will handle—" Vincent's words were abruptly cut off by another tingling sensation as another bullet tore through the tent, sending the fabric into a frenzy.

CRACK!

"I need to save Nathan !" Without hesitation, he sprang into action, grabbing Nathan and swiftly carrying him away from the danger. He knew that while he possessed supernatural abilities, Nathan was vulnerable.

SWOOOSH!

"I need to find a safe place," he muttered to himself, his mind racing as he navigated through the treacherous snow. The frigid conditions hindered his speed, reducing his pace to 140 miles per hour, a noticeable decrease from his usual swiftness.

Finally finding a moment to pause, he gently placed Nathan in the snow.

"Stay here, no matter what happens, don't leave this spot." Without waiting for a response, he darted back towards the source of the gunfire, determined to confront his attackers head-on.

SWOOOSH!

As he tore through the thick snow, his speed cutting through the once pristine landscape, he realized that his rapid movements had made him more visible to his enemy. The swirling snowflakes scattered in his wake, leaving a clear trail for anyone watching.

But there was one other thing that was even more concerning.

"I'm slowing down?" he  murmured, a sinking feeling gripping his legs. The very air seemed to resist him, impeding his speed. His pace dwindled to 120 miles per hour, a frustrating setback that made him more annoyed.

"Another one !"

The feeling of another bullet piercing the icy air, forced him to instinctively dodge to the side. However, as he attempted to evade the projectile, his foot suddenly froze, becoming trapped in the icy grip of the snow. The bullet struck his shoulder, the impact sending a searing pain through his body. It was so strong that it launched him backward, causing him to be thrown off balance.

CRACK!

CRASH!

He drop down into the cold ground, a cloud of snow erupting upon impact. Gritting his teeth against the pain, he swiftly assessed the situation, his mind racing with thoughts of how to handle the situation.

With determination burning in his eyes, he pushed through the pain, rising to his feet.

Battling against the relentless gale of snow, he strained to maintain his footing. The wind whipped around him, obstructing his vision and making every movement an arduous task. Although he possessed immunity to cold energy, the sheer force of the wind was proving to be a formidable challenge.

CRACK!

Another bullet, aimed with deadly precision, hurtled towards him. With limited options, he made a split-second decision to dodge and then transform. Drawing upon his supernatural powers, he embraced his werewolf form, to boost his strength and endurance.

As his body underwent the metamorphosis, his muscles bulged, and sleek black fur emerged, covering his form. His hands morphed into formidable claws, ready to rend and tear. Letting out a ferocious growl, he tapped into the raw power coursing through his veins, summoning the strength of the werewolf within.

With each step forward, he fought against the relentless wind, his powerful frame pushing against the resistance. He bared his teeth in defiance, refusing to be overwhelmed by the elements that sought to impede him. His resolve burned bright, fueled by pure anger.

"GRRRRR" Roaring with fury, his primal cry was drowned out by the relentless howling wind. Undeterred, he focused his attention on his targets. Aware that his normal vision would be hindered in the blizzard, he tapped into his unique ability to perceive energy.

Through his supernatural senses, he detected the distinct energy signatures of three individuals standing before him.

"You're all dead !" Leaping forward on all fours, he  closed the distance between himself and his adversaries with astonishing speed. His powerful muscles propelled him through the snow, defying the limitations of the storm.

"Not on my watch, big dog!" Rosy sneered, her eyes filled with arrogance. Channeling the power of the wind element bestowed upon her by her Ava, she focused her energy into her legs, propelling herself through the air like a rocket. In her hands, two swords , poised in a scissor formation. She had faced werewolves before and knew that her special blades could sever even their formidable claws.

"Die motherfucker !" With a battle cry on her lips, she lunged toward her target, ready to kill.

However, before her swords could make contact with their intended target, an immense surge of energy collided with her stomach, overwhelming her defenses. The force struck her like a devastating shockwave, instantly destroying her body .

Silence fell over the battlefield as Rosy's lifeless and mangled body crumpled to the ground, her valiant attack abruptly halted.

"Rosy!" Antonio and Ava shouted in unison, their voices filled with shock and disbelief. They couldn't comprehend what had just transpired—Rosy, their comrade, had been abruptly engulfed in a devastating shockwave, leaving nothing but remnants of her body. They were left standing in disbelief, their minds racing to understand the sudden turn of events.

Meanwhile, Vincent stood amidst the swirling aftermath of the blast, his claw still crackling with residual energy. Unbeknownst to the person who had hired this group of hunters, Vincent had tapped into a newfound power, a force they had yet to comprehend.

As their gazes shifted from the lifeless remains of Rosy to Vincent, a mix of confusion and fear washed over them.

Antonio's voice trembled as he spoke, "Ava... What just happened? How did Rosy...?"

But Vincent did not gave them time to talk .

He sprinted forward, the crack of gunfire echoed through the air.

Lex, utilizing his sniper skills, managed to provide a momentary assistance by taking precise shots that forced Vincent to dodge .

Sensing the urgency, Ava swiftly harnessed her wind powers, creating a powerful gust that lifted Antonio and herself off the ground. With the force of the wind beneath them, they soared through the air, away from the immediate danger. Antonio, utilizing his water manipulation abilities, summoned tendrils of water that snaked out towards Vincent, aiming to hinder his progress.

"Damn this things " Vincent cursed out loud. With each step, he had to contend with the formidable ice barriers, his movements slowed and impeded by the frozen hindrance. However, his determination remained unyielding as he pushed forward, his clawed hands slashing through the ice with relentless force.

Antonio and Ava watched from a safe distance, the strain evident on their faces as they witnessed the fierce struggle unfolding. They knew they had to regroup, formulate a new plan, and utilize their combined strengths to turn the tide in their favor. The battle was far from over, and their ability to adapt and strategize would be crucial in their attempt to overcome Vincent's relentless pursuit.

"We need to retreat. He's far more powerful than we anticipated." Lex's voice crackled over the radio, conveying a sense of urgency and realization.

The weight of the situation settled upon him as he recognized the sheer power and resilience of their target. The weather conditions had already amplified the abilities of Ava and Antonio, making them formidable , yet Vincent's power still surpassed their expectations.

Lex's mind raced as he considered their options. They had come prepared for a challenging mission, but they had underestimated the magnitude of Vincent's strength. It was clear that their current strategy wasn't enough to overcome him.

"We regroup at the extraction point," Lex commanded firmly. "Our priority is to ensure the safety of the team. We need to fall back and reassess our approach."

As the three hunters, Lex, Ava, and Antonio, retreated, they quickly dispersed, their goal to confuse and disorient Vincent in order to gain an advantage. Each hunter took a different path, utilizing their unique abilities and strategic thinking to outwit their formidable adversary.

"Damn it," Vincent sneered, a mix of frustration and contempt evident on his werewolf face as he discovered their plan.
