The battlefield froze in an instant, enveloped in a deafening silence that left all spectators stunned. A joint gasp of fear escaped from the mouths of everyone present as their eyes widened, fixated on the breathtaking exhibition of unparalleled speed unfolding before them.

High above the ground.

Time seemed to stand still as Denise and Angelie, once fierce rivals, now shared a common fear. Their body remained poised, but their aggression had temporarily subsided, replaced by a wary vigilance. They were all on guard, anticipating an ambush.

Larry was by no means weak, but he was taken out with astonishing ease, collapsing like a rag doll. The contrast between his previous prowess and his current vulnerable state was jarring, leaving a lingering sense of disbelief among those who witnessed his swift and unexpected downfall.

" Protect me ! " Angelie's voice rang out, filled with a mixture of concern and authority, as she commanded the Artificial Angels to encircle her. It was a desperate attempt to create a protective barrier, a shield against the unpredictable and unseen danger that may lurked in the darkness.

In that moment, it became clear to all that the most terrifying adversaries were not always the ones who stood before them in plain sight. It was the elusive, the unknown, and the unpredictable that sent shivers down their spines

"What was that thing? "The question hung in the air, lingering with a sense of trepidation. Lyka's voice carried a mix of curiosity and unease as she tried to make sense of the incredible speed and power displayed by the individual who torn Larry's arm .

She imagined herself in his place. Would she have been able to evade it? Could she have reacted in time, her instincts guiding her to safety? The uncertainty gnawed at her, undermining her confidence.

She possessed the ability to move swiftly, propelled by the force of the wind. However, what she witnessed surpassed anything she had ever encountered, leaving her utterly astounded and unable to comprehend its magnitude.

The realization that an individual who possessed a level of power and agility beyond her own capabilities sent a shiver down her spine. But for now, relief washed over her as she realized she had not been the primary target of the mysterious assailant's attack.

Even Denise's alter ego could not help but feel a tinge of apprehension after witnessing everything. She had always prided herself on being a force to be reckoned with, but what she saw had shattered her preconceived notions. It was a humbling reminder that there were forces in this world far more formidable than she had ever imagined.

The minutes ticked by, and the tension in the air remained stagnant. The silence was broken only by the soft rustling of the wind and the occasional whisper of exchanged words between the combatants. It was as if time itself held its breath, waiting for the next decisive moment to unfold.

But despite the temporary calm, the lingering unease remained. The battlefield had been transformed into a fragile equilibrium, a delicate balance that could be shattered with the slightest provocation. The fear of the unknown loomed large, casting a shadow over the hearts of all involved.

They all paused, awaiting their leader's command.

"Enough," Angelie declared, her voice carrying a weariness born of the realization that their clash had unveiled a vulnerability within her defenses.

The sheer boldness of the unidentified attacker had deeply impacted her, leaving a lasting impression. The notion that someone could swiftly run towards her, slashed her head off, without her sensing their presence was a profoundly humbling realization.

"Let's stop this pointless battle ! I don't want to see anymore bloodshed" Her words echoed through the battlefield, finding their way to the ears of her comrades and adversaries alike.

"That two faced woman!" Denise's alter ego spat out in frustration. Angelie was the one who initiated all of this, and now she was playing the role of a saint? Screw her!

"I will kill that woman! " She was gearing up to unleash her most devastating attack, but abruptly, the other Denise intervened.

"Stop. Don't do it," she urged firmly.

Denise's alter ego bristled with impatience, her adrenaline still coursing through her veins.

"Why the hell are we backing down now?" she demanded, her voice laced with frustration. "We could wipe the floor with her. We don't need to play it safe."

Denise spoke from within "Think about it," she replied, her tone steady. "That fast individual took us by surprise once. Who's to say it won't do it again after we are fully exhausted? We can't afford to be reckless."

Her alter ego huffed, crossing her arms defiantly.

"We're stronger than them," she argued, her voice tinged with defiance. "We've got the power. We could crush them both if we wanted to."

"Strength isn't everything," she explained. "It's about strategy, about playing smart. We need to gather intel, assess the situation, and come up with a plan first."

Denise's alter ego reluctantly let go of her defiance, her resistance easing as she begrudgingly came to accept the circumstances.

"Fine," she grumbled. "But we can't just sit around twiddling our thumbs. We need to get our revenge one way or another."

"Don't worry, I've got this. I'll report this whole incident to HQ," Denise's declared, her voice laced with a fierce determination. Her eyes gleamed with a mixture of anger and purpose.

"That woman who had the audacity to attack us won't get away with it. I'll make sure she pays for crossing our path."

Her words hung in the air, carrying the weight of a vow made in the heat of battle. The temporary ceasefire hadn't dampened her thirst for revenge; if anything, it had fueled it further. The fire within her burned brighter, urging her to take swift action in the future.

Her alter ego grumbled impatiently, unable to contain her impulsive nature.

"I know all that," she replied with a hint of annoyance. "But mark my words, Denise, justice will be served. I will hunt her down if you don't, and she'll regret ever crossing us."

Denise's lips curled into a knowing smile, a glimmer of agreement shining in her eyes.

"I have no doubt about that," she acknowledged.

In that pivotal moment, Denise and her alter ego exchanged a wordless understanding, their desire for revenge reinforced by a deal.

"I'm going back to sleep," Her alter ego receded within her, and Denise's face returned to its normal state.

She immediately assessed Angelie , determined not to fall victim to her evil schemed again.

Angelie noticed Denise's suspicious gaze so she also promptly signaled everyone to retreat.

The Vatican gradually descended from the sky, accompanied by their artificial angels. They refrained from dismissing their summons until they were a considerable distance away from Denise's group. And thus, the battle came to a definitive end.

Regarding the Ministry of Magica, they hadn't directly attacked DSAS, so engaging in another confrontation seemed unwarranted. The sight of Larry's severed arm was enough for Denise.

"That's the consequence of betrayal," She sneered, her voice dripping with disdain.

As for that swift individual who ended this battle,  well she intended to report it to HQ . That level of speed surpassed what an average A+ Rank supernatural being could possess, warranting a thorough investigation by the Agency .

The presence of an individual like that was unmistakably indicative of great danger.
