Cain almost choked on his own saliva upon hearing the word 'vampire' come out of Kimmy's lips. He coughed, making Kimmy worriedly ask if he was fine while gently patting his back.

"I'm good. Just a sudden itch in my throat," Cain excused himself. "You mean that's the movie you've been wanting to watch? Vampires and werewolves?" he asked just to make sure.

Kimmy had a bright smile as she said, "Yes. It's a blockbuster in the news. This is the third day of screening, and I really wanna watch it in the cinema with you."

'Will you also accept me if I turned out to be a vampire?' Cain helplessly thought to himself as he stared at Kimmy.

"Cain?" she called out when she noticed how Cain was just staring at her, almost zoning out, even.

"Oh, yeah. I'm sorry. Let's go and watch it," Cain quickly answered before they started walking towards the parking lot.

Stopping in front of the movie theater, it was the one place in the Capital City where Kimmy wanted to watch said blockbuster movie. He was honestly not too fond of watching supernatural stuff, knowing that they were simply nothing but fiction. He preferred watching inspirational or true-to-life movies, but then he realized that supernatural stuff did exist just because Cedric existed as evidence. So maybe it would be good that he started watching those kinds of things too.

They were walking inside the theater when Kimmy couldn't help but ask, "I feel like something's wrong. Can't I know what you and Gavin talked about? You became a bit quiet and absent-minded after your talk with them."

Cain stopped walking, looking closely at Kimmy as he suddenly asked, "Kimberly, can you give me a serious answer to what I'm about to ask?"

Kimmy quirked her eyebrows. With a smile, she said, "Of course. Fire away."

"What if I turned into a vampire? What will you do?" Cain asked with a serious tone.

Kimmy didn't expect such a question coming. So much so that she unconsciously gave him a look as she tried her best to suppress her laughter.

Cain pouted as he complained, "You said you'll give me a serious answer, Kimberly. I'm being serious right now."

Kimberly shrugged her shoulders before grabbing his other hand so she could gently squeeze them both. She had a wide smile as she said, "If you turned into a vampire, then I'll ask you to turn me too. That way, I can stay with you for eternity." She then smirked, "You should know that no matter what happens, I will always choose to cling by your side, Cain. You're my life now, Cain, regardless of how or what you become. I can no longer picture myself without you, so don't you dare ask me such nonsense questions like this again."

"But what if I have to leave or stay away from you in order to protect you?" he inquired further.

Kimmy frowned as she complained, "Then I'll just hunt you down till you succumb to me! I don't need protection, okay?! All I want and need is to be with you." She pouted, "Ah, what's with the sudden questions? You're seriously killing my mood to watch a movie."

Cain only chuckled, pulling her closer to him with his arm on her shoulders. "I'm sorry. I'm just curious. Anyway, let's just watch the movie first. I'll ask more of my nonsense questions later…" he mumbled in jest as he pulled Kimmy to walk with him toward the ticket booth. Buying a ticket and a few snacks, they then entered the cinema.

Soon enough, the movie started. And surprisingly, he found himself focused on watching while his arm was on Kimmy's shoulder, pulling the latter close to him since he loved her warmth.

"Are you cold?" Kimmy whispered. She had noticed that Cain's palm seemed colder to the touch than usual.

Cain's face paled as he replied, "No, why? Am I cold to the touch?"

He was starting to panic, so he suddenly excused himself and rushed towards the restroom. After making sure that nobody was around, he looked at the mirror and searched his teeth for any fangs. It was there that a man suddenly appeared and gave him a weird look upon seeing what he was doing. Naturally, he ignored the man and checked his nails next. Cain quickly composed himself and inwardly cursed. He couldn't even feel that his body was cold. He looked normal so far, and no changes were apparent enough that he should be alarmed. He also wasn't craving blood as well, so he was probably fine, right?

So far, his intense carnal desires for Kimmy and the feeling of being with her were as strong as usual. Aside from that, improved senses and increased healing factors were the only changes in his body. They were relatively harmless, so he didn't see the need to stay away from Kimmy as of now. If this continued, then he could probably stay with Kimmy, right?

Cain washed his face with a splash of water, trying to calm himself from his anxiety. After letting out a few deep breaths from his stuffed lungs, he immediately returned to his seat and pulled Kimmy in for a tight embrace.

"What's wrong?" Kimmy whispered into his ear. She had felt how Cain's body tensed up before he rushed out from his seat.

"Ah, nothing. I'm just a bit cold, so you have to keep me warm, okay?" Cain whispered with a smile, his face so close to Kimmy's that he could feel and smell her warm and sweet breath.

Not wasting the opportunity, he immediately took Kimmy's lips that instant, kissing her senselessly inside the darkness of the theater. His hands were starting to move, but Kimmy stopped him. She broke the kiss, panting, but Cain knew that he wanted more.

Kimmy found herself needing to put a hand on his chest as she murmured, "Behave, okay? Let's watch this first. You can play around with me as soon as we get back home."

Cain chuckled, lovingly kissing Kimmy's forehead before letting his princess concentrate on the movie. He did the same while trying to familiarize himself with vampires. He would have to do a lot of research, and he would definitely find a way on his own so that he could stay with Kimmy no matter what.
