In a room on the second floor, Shi Yuting sat next to the bed. His expression had already returned to his usual calmness as he stared at Jing Xinlei, who was bed-ridden.

The family doctor was diagnosing her.

Shi Yuting’s phone suddenly rang, breaking the silence in the room. He frowned and took out his phone. It was from his younger sister, Shi Nuannuan.

He walked to the window and picked up the call.

“What’s up?”

Shi Nuannuan tensed up. “Wait!”

She almost forgot the reason she called.

“Brother, Sister-in-law Weiyi… Weiyi has gone missing. I have searched for her for a while now but I can’t find her but…” Shi Nuannuan glanced downward, looking the blood on the ground in the rain, her heart was beating with unease.

He picked it up and ended the call within a minute, his expression was rattled. “Mr. Shi, the result came out. The blood… It belongs to Miss Zuo.”

Shi Yuting was visibly affected by Xiang Yi’s report, his heart was consumed by dread.

“I don’t care if City Z is turned upside down. Find out where Zuo Weiyi is!”

His heart had never been filled with such anxiety.
