Ling Xiaolong devoured the Abyss and everything the Abyss offered him integrated with the Absolute Rules, pulling Ling Xiaolong into a state of oblivion all of a sudden.

Ling Xiaolong's mind was blank at this moment. He found himself standing in "nothing". This place was very bizarre actually. It was not a place, space, darkness, void, or anything Ling Xiaolong was familiar with.

It was as if this place was there and not, this place existed and not. Everything was too mysterious.

In that state of oblivion, a series of profound information appeared in Ling Xiaolong's mind and he came to understand that this place actually does not exist, it appeared only because he subconsciously 'thought' that only when there is a place could he stand and witness the beginning of time and space, the beginning of creation, the beginning of everything.

What was the absolute beginning?

The absolute beginning was actually the birth of the first ever 'thing' that was the Infinite Expanse of Darkness.

With the birth of the Infinite Expanse of Darkness out of nothingness, nine Absolute Rules were born. Time and Space appeared. Later, mysterious creatures appeared one after another in the Boundless Expanse of Darkness. They were the first-ever creatures to be born.

After the birth of those creatures, countless Cosmic Fields appeared in the Infinite Expanse of Darkness out of nowhere. Bizarre enough, even some creatures capable of giving birth to Cosmic Fields were born out of nothing in the void filled with darkness.

Ling Xiaolong witnessed everything and understood everything.

How long he was in that state, even he had no idea.

One year!

A hundred years!

A hundred thousand years!

Or maybe hundreds of millions of years or even billions of years.

Ling Xiaolong simply had no idea of the passage of time. He remained in a state of oblivion.

When he regained his senses, he seemed to have gone through a huge transformation. His eyes, previously dulled, were now filled with a strange spark, a light of ultimate wisdom and truth. He seemed to have become an entity above everything and understood the ultimate truth of existence itself.

"Rule of Nothingness!"

Yes, Ling Xiaolong comprehended one ultimate rule, the rule that governs all other rules. In front of this rule, even nine Absolute Rules are like child play.

This is the Ultimate Rule of Nothingness!

What is the Rule of Nothingness?

In order to understand "nothingness", one must first understand that every existence, then be it Ethereal Guardians such as the Tree of Chaos, Tree of Abyss, the Timeless Enlightenment Seed, or the Infinite Expanse of Darkness itself, all came into existence from nothingness.

Nothingness is the state of being of nothing. The state of being "nothing" is a thing. People are mystified because they believe that nothingness is not a thing and so it can have 'no state of being'.

It is wrong!

It may sound illogical, but there is a thing and that is nothing. Nothingness is the thing that is nothing and has a nature.

When Ling Xiaolong was still in the Heavens, the Source Universe, he witnessed profound phenomena where he saw the birth of two universes. He saw how the universes were born and grew. He saw that these two universes came into existence out of "nothing".

Later, when he was reborn in the incomplete Chaos, he came to understand that there are countless such Source Universes.

These Source Universes are actually not created by Chaos itself, they just randomly come into existence. Source Universes does not follow the Rules of Chaos and does not have any relationship with 'chaos' itself. They have their own laws instead—a total of 3,000 laws.

Where do these laws come from?

They are born along with the Source Universes themselves. Since Source Universes come into existence out of nothingness, so do these laws.

3,000 Laws of Source Universe evolves into 108 Rules of Chaos. 108 Rules of Chaos evolves into 36 Supreme Chaos Rules. 36 Supreme Chaos Rules evolve into 9 Absolute Rules of Infinite Darkness. And these 9 Absolute Rules are born from the Rule of Nothingness.

In short, Rules of Nothingness is the supreme governing rule that gave birth to Absolute Rules, Supreme Chaos Rules, Supreme Abyss Rules, Rules of Chaos and Rules of Abyss, and Laws of Source Universes.

It is said that everything is born from nothingness and would later enter nothingness.

If Nothingness were nothing then it would be mysterious that these laws, Source Universes, and existences like Tree of Chaos and Timeless Enlightenment Seed would emerge from "it", but nothingness is not nothing. Nothingness is a "thing". Nothingness is possibility—the possibility of infinite creation, the possibility of infinite birth and changes, the possibility of infinite chaos and darkness. Nothingness is the source of every possible thing.

Impossibility is a limit reserved for things, but not for Nothingness.

Only when there is nothing can there be everything.

People misconstrue the true nature of "Nothingness". They erroneously assume that "Nothingness" is simply "Nothing" and believe that this is a reasonable assessment.

In fact, it is not true.

People base their erroneous current understanding of "Nothingness" on the laws of reason in an inappropriate manner. They fail to take into account the fact that the laws of reason are the laws of things. They appropriately apply the laws of 'things' to things. But they succumb to a false assumption when they erroneously apply the laws of things to "Nothingness".

Because people's logic is founded in the logic of things, they are predisposed to misunderstand the true nature of nothingness.

In fact "Nothingness" is a 'thing' and is a uniquely special 'thing'.

"Nothing" means "not anything", but "Nothingness" means "the 'thing' that nothing is".

The rule of Nothingness is profound, so much so that understanding it based on logic is simply impossible.

Everything can be logically understood in at least one or another way, and all things have some, yet mysterious, relationship to Nothingness. The true "Nature of Nothingness" is actually beyond people's grasp. If there is an existence, then it is only Ling Xiaolong who understands the nature of nothingness, the Rule of Nothingness, and Nothingness itself.
