"The C-Contained Villain isn't from our world? What do you mean by that?" Muscle Lantern stammered in shock, asking in disbelief, "That doesn't make any sense."
"But it is the truth." Old man Mida nodded before shaking his head, "The Contained Villain isn't like the other Villains. He wishes to destroy and consume our world. And only the Genesis Hero is capable of placing him at bay."
"T-This, I never knew about this." Muscle Lantern stammered in shock.
"Well, of course, you didn't make it to the top. So it wouldn't be a surprise that you don't know the truth." Old man Mida said, "So, stop thinking of whatever the Contained Villain's fragments convey to you. Their only goal is our utter annihilation."
"I understand," Muscle Lantern nodded, sighing as he got up, "I'll take your leave then…"
"Wait, before that." Old man Mida glared at Muscle Lantern, "Whatever you're doing with your wife, I advise you to stop immediately."
"What…do you mean?" Muscle Lantern asked in shock, "I don't understand what you're talking about."
"Pink Jail," Old man Mida said with a solemn tone, watching Muscle Lantern's demeanour change immediately, barely able to conceal his leaking killing intent.
"Now, now, don't go killing me." Old man Mida said, "I understand where you're coming from. But, just because I understand it doesn't mean I support it."
"You must have accumulated a considerable sum, right?" He stared at Muscle Lantern, seeing the other party nod hesitantly.
"Then, don't do it anymore." Old man Mida said in all seriousness, "Another Hero has been dispatched to this city. They've yet to reveal their identity, but they would probably be watching you in action. And the moment Pink Jail escapes, they'll capture her."
"Is it…one of my students?" Muscle Lantern asked, sighing as he plopped to the ground, losing all strength in his legs.
"I'm not sure, but the possibility is high." Old man Mida said, "The Heroes you've trained are terrifyingly strong. You should know it the best. Pink Jail isn't strong enough to face them."
"I understand." Muscle Lantern nodded weakly, "I didn't accumulate enough, but I guess I'll do something to earn a living from now on."
"Open a store like me," Old man Mida said, "Or better, put that strength of yours to good use. You could create premium goods like sculptures and the like. Considering your reputation, it'll give you a good limelight in the press, and best of all, thanks to your students, you'll make a lot of money."
"Yeah, I'll do that." Muscle Lantern flashed a wry smile, "I know you're looking out for me. I won't go against your advice. I'll do as you have said."
"Oh, and also," Old man Mida grinned, "Train my granddaughter, will you? You're the best trainer I know. And,"
He winked, "I know how much your wife had to train to turn that weak power of hers into such a frightening tool. So, ask her to give some pointers in terms of control finesse to my granddaughter too, alright?"
"I was planning to open a Hero Training Academy anyway." Muscle Lantern nodded, "It was why I was doing that to gather enough funds."
"If you're short of cash, I'll invest." Old man Mida said, "That's the least I could do…"
"Grandpa!" His granddaughter sauntered into the house with a ruckus, "I found this hot…I mean, a talented guy in the nearby cafe. I wanted to introduce him to you. He's looking for a teaching job."
"Brat, I'm discussing something serious here…" Old man Mida shouted, facepalming when his granddaughter entered the room anyway.
"You're probably just recounting your past. Even uncle brute here is tired of hearing the same thing dozens of times." The girl rolled her eyes.
"Millie," Muscle Lantern sighed, "Your grandfather stopped telling his stories ages ago. We were discussing something else this time."
Sigh!
Old man Mida rubbed his aching temples before waving his hand, "So, who is this person that you brought this time? He better not be another good-for-nothing whose only trait is his face."
"It's different this time, I promise." Millie said and pointed at the entrance, "He's waiting there. You can check him out for yourself."
"Invite him in," Old man Mida waved his hand, watching Millie leave as he whispered Muscle Lantern, "Can I leave him to you? You're better at scouting talent than I am."
"Sure," Muscle Lantern nodded.
"It's him," Millie entered the room, dragging a guy with her as she pointed at him, "He's Mr. Compass."
'Another pretty boy.' Old man Mida felt a headache already upon seeing the guy's appearance, thinking a moment longer, 'Hmm, how come someone with such an appearance is on a job hunt? I'm pretty sure multiple advertising agencies would have scouted him by now.'
"Take a seat, Compass." Old man Mida pointed at an empty spot before motioning for Millie to leave the room.
Understanding that her grandfather didn't like being disturbed when he screened people, Millie obediently closed the door and took a seat in the living room, appearing anxious.
"Thank you for having me here," The man named Compass nodded and took a seat, maintaining his composure.
"You approached my granddaughter looking for a job?" Old man Mida frowned, applying mild pressure on the other party.
Compass didn't flinch at that, impressing old man Mida as he smiled wryly, "Actually, I was preparing my Resume while seated in the nearby cafe. Millie noticed that I was looking for a teaching job and promised to introduce me to you."
'This brat did it again.' Old man Mida controlled his itch to facepalm, maintaining a poker face as he extended his hand, asking for the resume. "Any prior teaching experiences?"
"No," Compass shook his head.
"So, you freshly graduated from…" Old man Mida nodded, "Belstorm University, I see. Oh, you've been recommended by Professor Hera. That's a rarity."
He then read through the rest of the details on the Resume, frowning as he came across a certain point, "You wish to…teach Heroes?"
"Yes," Compass nodded.
"That's impossible," Old man Mida shook his head, "Irrespective of whether you're skilled or not, someone that teaches Heroes should have been a retired Hero. Experience plays a pivotal role in this field."
"But I have experience in regards to that," Compass let out a subtle smile, "I've written it down on the next page."
"Hmm…" Old man Mida didn't say anything as he flipped to the last page when suddenly, his face was drained of all colour. After all, there was just one line written there.
