478 Genius Development Plan (Part 2)
After the tour concluded, the leaders began to return, intending to prepare their donations. They also stationed some representatives of their Clan or Sect in the Academy City for any needs, serving as a form of protection for the Academy.
Compass Carburettor told them that just having the Academy City wasn't entirely safe in long term consideration. So, he created a moat surrounding it, resembling a river in width, spanning two kilometres.
And beyond this river-like moat, more settlements would be erected. This way, more and more people can live in this location, making it the centre of operations for a variety of things.
The various Clans and Sects would each occupy an area here, creating their own territory, also forming a layer of defence for the Academy as all the forces would keep each other in check while also protecting the academy from all external threats.
At the end of the day, the Academy would function autonomously, led by the two Heaven Grade Golems. So, he didn't wish to place too much pressure on them.
Besides, the presence of the two Golems, with each on par with a peak Martial Providence Stage cultivator, not to mention their Heaven Martial Spirit was enough to deter everyone, even in the future from trying to target the Academy.
The various forces would prevent any force from attempting such an action. This was not to mention the secret force of the Double-Faced Monkeys that would curb any force that attempted to invade the Academy.
After they left, Compass Carburettor first took a long nap, resting his weary self, lazing about for three days before he got up to work.
He arrived within an underground biome that was erected below the dome of the Double-Faced Monkeys.
He was planning on creating a lot more biomes according to his plans. But now, this was the only other biome apart from the one with the Double-Faced Monkeys.
It was situated two hundred metres underground, spanning a height of a hundred metres and a radius of three kilometres.
There was a thin stream of water here, seeping through an underground reservoir, whereas, creeper type plants that were semi-aquatic in nature littered the place.
These creepers were like bamboo in that they grew rapidly. In the short week since Grisha planted them in the place, they had already covered the ground to a considerable extent. And as time passes, they would pretty much fill up the place.
But here was where an interesting species was introduced into the mix.
Blight Rabbit!
It was an Origin Beast race that lived in cold, dark places, feasting on plants as their numbers multiplied rapidly.
And, this was one of the major races that formed the bottom-most chain of the food pyramid in major Origin Beast territories.
There was no Origin Essence in the Gaider Realm. The humans relied upon the Essence Stones they mined to cultivate.
But what about the Origin Beasts?
Since they didn't have a Martial Spirit, how would they absorb Origin Essence even if their territory was situated within a region where Essence Stones were produced?
They didn't.
Origin Beasts born in the Gaider Realm didn't have the capability to absorb Origin Essence even if they had a pile of Essence Stones before them. They were unlike the Origin Beasts born and raised in Secret Realms where Origin Essence existed in the air.
Due to the environment, they had evolved differently.
For the Origin Beasts in Gaider Realm, they had what was called an Origin Essence Sack. This was similar to the intestines in that it filtered out the Origin Essence from the food they consumed to temporarily store within.
After some time, the Origin Essence would be sent to their dwelling.
But, how would they obtain that required Origin Essence in the first place?
It was through plants.
There were massive reservoirs of Essence Stones scattered throughout the underground of the Gaider Realm with various levels of deposit.
Those with a concentrated deposit were turned into a mine.
But, their concentration was so vast that they interacted with pretty much everything. And not all of them were concentrated as gigantic rocks. A majority of them were like finely distributed sand, or even smaller.
A significant sum was concentrated in the surface soil itself where large forests grew upon. The roots of the trees would absorb these particles as the Origin Essence would be stored in small fractions throughout the trees.
Unless they were a cultivator, they cannot harness Origin Essence. Moreover, Origin Essence wasn't something that could be broken down by the body, whether plant or animal without being a cultivator.
And hence, the Origin Essence would remain as deposits within the body of the trees, plants, grass, etc.
When herbivores consumed such plants, the Origin Essence would be filtered out by their Origin Essence sack before being supplied to their dwelling.
This is how they accumulate Origin Essence and cultivate to higher Stages.
And, one of the primary Origin Beasts that do this was the Blight Rabbit race which was pretty much preyed upon by practically every single Origin Beast race.
A Blight Rabbit reached maturity within a month, and a single adult Blight Rabbit gave birth to at least a dozen newborn every single month. And their overall lifespan was two years.
They were a fast-growing race whose population would quickly spiral out of control unless there were enough predators.
Thankfully, such a problem never arose as their numbers were always under control.
And now, Compass Carburettor placed such a race in the biome, without any predator to worry about. So, their population would quickly spiral out of control.
That was, in the case, they were left on their own.
Smiling in response, he activated his powers, planting a Sleeper Cell seed in the minds of every Blight Rabbit, giving them a single command.
[Continue to increase your population. But when your numbers exceed the available food resource, sacrifice the old to the altar]
The altar was a large pearl platform, circular in shape that spanned a radius of fifty metres. And the best thing was the tiny holes present throughout it.
After all, peeking through the holes were the roots of his Blood Vitality Grasses.
Of course, this was the farm that would continue to produce Blood Vitality Pills eternally.
