I Hate Systems

1043 Call Me Dota

"Give me a moment," The moment they arrived at the Apocalyptic World's universe, the Fate System patted the gigantic planet that was the Apocalypse System, "I need to do something here."

The Fate System closed its eyes and observed the fate of the universe, smiling as a result, "Good, its fate is within my controlling capacity."

Immediately, fate surged around the Fate System and condensed two entities, a ten-horned serpent, and a pearl tree.

The Fate System planted the pearl tree in the gigantic planet that was the Apocalypse System, watching it take root, "This will allow you to directly attack their foundation."

External Item—Tower of Purification!

This was the ultimate External Item created by Rhizen to purify worlds infected by the Apocalypse System and gradually increase the influence of the PADS there. It also allowed him to create more Horned Humans to fight for their cause, which was how they continued to face apocalyptic worlds and emerge victorious time and again.

But now, the Fate System had casually employed fate to create the same and empowered the Apocalypse System with it, allowing it to directly strike the Mystic Humans where it hurts the most.

"Okay, you can fight now. Don't die before you deplete their resources completely." Saying so, the Fate System stared at the ten-horned serpent, activating it as his figure vanished.

Apocalyptic Arts—Thieving Heaven (X)!

This was the mutated beast created through Dita, one that Rhizen and his fellow Mystic Humans relied upon to travel from the Apocalypse World to other worlds and vice-versa.

Of course, with it, the Fate System easily penetrated through their defensive system and arrived at a barren hill within the Apocalypse World, looking around as it now resumed its human-like appearance, one resembling an Arnark from young, barely eight years old.

He didn't do anything beyond that and just stored the ten-horned serpent in the Origin Space that formed in his body. An Origin Space was where Mystic Humans like Rhizen stored their Mutated Beasts within and harnessed their power.

The Fate System walked on the barren hill before he chanced upon a group of people.

"Hey, kid! Why are you alone there?" A middle-aged man shouted in a hurry, seemingly fleeing somewhere.

"My parents told me to wait here," The Fate System said while gently stirring up the fate around him. He then sported a tear-eyed expression, "But it has been an hour already and they haven't returned. Something happened to the plants and animals here. I'm scared!"

"Come with me!" The middle-aged man said in a hurry and carried the Fate System, "I promise I'll bring you to your parents. But first, we need to head towards safety."

"Uncle, what is happening?" The Fate System asked in a fluster, "Why is everyone running?"

"Apocalypse descended, boy." The middle-aged man said, "All plants and animals have withered, including the mutated beasts. The only exceptions are the Mystic Humans and the Mutated Beasts in our Origin Space. But the weaker ones are gradually getting affected too, so before we lose them, we'll have to bring everyone to the shelter."

"Shelter?" The Fate System asked in confusion while thinking, 'Indeed, as I suspected, they have the means to sustain themselves against Apocalypse. It makes sense since they were gearing up all their lives to kill Apocalypse.'

The middle-aged man sprinted at terrifying speeds, his figure flickering dozens of metres with every step as he soon reached a large door that had been installed into the side of a cliff. With a leap, he passed through it and entered the shelter.

'Amazing!' The Fate System was pleasantly surprised to see an entire dimension within, filled with ants that were tirelessly working to build sprawling structures. There were eggs of all animals stored in safety by the brood.

Large plantations were situated amidst the sprawling structures as the ants farmed, reared cattle, etc. All the people of the Apocalypse world hurriedly entered the shelter and despite that, it had more than enough space.

There were dozens of shelters located throughout the world as droves of people streamed in from all directions. Even the Horned Humans from the worlds under them rushed in, evacuating in a hurry as they entered the shelter.

Disguised as a helpless child, the Fate System observed the series of preparations done in the region, smirking, 'Just as fate dictates, Rhizen will win this battle. Apocalypse had been too lenient against him and allowed him to grow too much.'

He then thought for a moment before shaking his head, 'Or I can also say that too many things were happening that the Apocalypse System simply couldn't keep up. It participated in the war, faced the greatest of injuries, used its Core Skill Manifestation and was out of commission for a century and to date, has yet to recover to its prime.'

'As one of the strongest Grade 3 Systems, it formed the first line of defence against all our enemies. So, it simply didn't have the freedom to divert more attention to Rhizen than what it did until now.' He thought, understanding a vital secret, 'Time, place, and opportunity, they are of vital importance.'

'Had Rhizen tried to do this anytime else, Apocalypse would have crushed him just like the Systems ganged up on the other Main Characters in the past. Slayer's growth could also be explained along the same vein. On that note, even Compass Carburettor is the same. He was just at the right place at the right time and had the means to take advantage of the opportunity. Even the same individual wouldn't have amounted to anything if he was born in another timeline.'

"Kid, are you alright?" The middle-aged man sighed in relief upon arriving at the house designated to him as he placed the Fate System down and asked, "Are you hurt anywhere?"

"No, I'm alright, thanks to you, uncle." The Fate System wiped his tears and let out a relieved smile.

"You can stay with me for the time being. I'll help look for your parents later. A child like you cannot live by yourself in the shelter." The middle-aged man said before realising something as he asked, "Oh yeah, I have yet to know your name."

"What do I call you?"

The Fate System's eyes glistened for a moment before he opened his mouth and uttered with a pearly tone, "Dota."

"Call me Dota."
