The little girl lifted her head and wiped at her eyes. “Daddy, I’m crying.”

Su Shengjing’s heart ached even more. He quickly comforted her. “Don’t cry, okay? It’s not like Big Brother won’t be coming back. When it’s the holidays, Daddy will bring you to see him, okay? Don’t cry anymore. Be good.”

Just as he was at a loss as to what to do, the little girl suddenly turned around and giggled at him. “I was pretending!”
