Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

183 A Tale Of Ice, Fire And Steel [Part 2]

A red halo appeared above Gajeel's head as the dragon suddenly quietened down. Lisa's lips curled up into a smile when she saw that happened and finally let herself relax.

[ It was clear that he was definitely being controlled by someone. After coming back from the Pacific, I managed to learn some interesting formations. One of them was the slave or mind freeing formation. ]

It was pretty clear what the formation did from its name and the result it was having upon Gajeel. The steel dragon looked completely different as his gaze moved above the captured dragons.

"Zack… you… remember… me?" Gajeel opened his mouth and spoke in a double toned voice. It felt as though someone had layered his voice mutliple times to do it.

"Yes, Gajeel, I remember you!" Zack replied by shouting to make sure that the dragon heard him. He didn't dare get close to Gajeel just in case something went wrong. "Do you remember Snowie?!"

"Snowie…" Gajeel's eyes suddenly contained a hint of the past as he nodded his head in response.

After hearing his reply, Zack felt a pull on his stomach as he turned to look at the drop of blood. The thickened rope was suddenly being pulled inside the drop of blood and was on the verge of vanishing.

A minute later, the entire rope had vanished inside the drop of blood which was slowly turning white.

With three consecutive flashes of light, the drop of blood--now white--vanished from it's place and was replaced by a dragon girl.

Snowie appeared in front of the group and Gajeel as she turned her head up to stare at the dragon.

Gajeel and Snowie immediately locked gazes as the two dragons were reminded of the past where they had been members of the same team. Their relationship was that of a brother and a sister.

[ The control on him is loosening due to her presence. He might be able to talk easily now. ] Lisa supplied on as she could feel the chains of the slave contract around Gajeel due to her formation.

She was now standing straight up and was attentively monitoring Gajeel's conditions just in case something went wrong.

[ Make sure to be ready to attack at a moment's notice. There is no knowing what might happen next. ]

The group nodded as they focused on Snowie who was flying above. She was currently in her human form and seemed extremely small in front of Gajeel.

Yet, she looked completely fearless as she trusted in her old friend to not hurt her.

"Gajeel, do you know what happened which led to you being slaved?" Snowie immediately realized that her friend was bound by something that prevented him from doing things his way.

Otherwise, he would never endanger any other being's life, especially that of old friends and younger dragons.

No one knew this but Snowie had been able to see the entire thing from Hikari using her connection with Zack.

She had seen the entire thing from a third person's perspective just the way Zack had when Lance had taken control of his eyes.

The dragon was immensely angered by the fact that someone had enslaved Gajeel but she didn't let her emotions get the best of her.

"I don't remember much from the past. In fact, I wouldn't have recognized you if not for seeing Zack and the others," Gajeel replied in a human's voice. "They were the reason I was able to gain some clarity and fight back the person who has me under a slave contract."

The next moment, Gajeel's body started shrinking before turning the same size as Snowie. The king of steel dragons had now turned into a human too yet his tail still picked from his behind.

'I wonder where there clothes come from. Are they the same clothes they had worn ages ago?' Zack wondered silently as he waited for the exchange to be over.

The two dragons were now much more relaxed and so was true for the people. Seeing the big dragon turn into a human, they had hope emerging inside them.

Many thought that they had gained a new ally and they weren't far away from the truth. The only thing was that Gajeel was still bound by a slave contract.

Lisa's formation only strengthened his mind and increased the amount of clarity he had. That was why Gajeel was able to talk normally and make sense of things from a new perspective.

"The last thing I remember from the past was a war that we had fought in. I remember that our master fought alongside us and so did they," Gajeel pointed towards Zack and the party. "The next thing I remember is waking up in a cave with only master's name."

"Do you know what it is?" Snowie asked eagerly but Gajeel shook his head.

"I forgot it over the centuries alongside my other memories. The only thing I remembered was that I had a master who had tamed me and made me strong. I just remembered a few things after seeing Zack."

Both Snowie and Zack were left disappointed by this as they had been hoping to receive some answers. But then, getting Gajeel to join them was ever better.

"Then do you know the person who enslaved you?" Zack decided to ask a question as he flew up and hovered beside the two dragons.

"No, I can only sense a presence in my soul that binds me to that person and prevents me from having a control over my body. Currently, I am having the full control of my body and can even shut the presence down."

"I see…"

While they talked, the people were getting confused by the second.

"Um excuse me." One of them called out Jules who turned to stare at the crowd. "What are they talking about?"

"Something important that you can't understand." Jules replied smoothly as though he had practiced it multiple times.

However on the inside, he was feeling confused. He was able to understand every word the two dragons and Zack were talking about.

[ Guys, I don't think any of them are able to understand what is being talked about. ] Jules then sent this message to all of the party members who were all weirded out with it.

However, Zack decided to put it away for the time being as he was interested in getting to know more from Gajeel.

"Can you tell me some more about where you spend your time?"

"I-" Gajeel began speaking before he was suddenly interrupted by a clicking sound inside his head.

"You can't escape me Gajeel. You will pay for this."
