Help! I don't want to NTR the protagonist!



Seeing that both of them were fine with the punishments given, Mr. Hoffman didn't want to keep Lucius any longer.

"Lucius, you may take your leave now. As for Xander, we still need to talk to you about your code of conduct during the first free days in Sanctuary."

Seeing this Lucius got up, but he didn't forget to run salt in Xander's wounds and let off a quiet snicker as he passed by causing Xander's face to turn extremely ugly but as he looked up to see Mr Hoffman's cold eyes Xander's face turned into one of fear as she shivered slightly.

Walking out of the room, Lucius breathed a sigh of relief.

'I did it!'

Although he maintained a calm demeanour inside, his nerves were stretched to their limits.

Although he didn't think he would be expelled or something, a few week's suspension would be enough time for the original protagonist Landon to work his magic, making his job of winning the hearts of the heroines much harder.

As Lucius thought this he started walking back towards his dormitory but he only walked a few metres down the hallways when he saw a familiar face.

It was a purple haired beauty with dazzling eyes.

A figure that could make any man burn with desire.

Although the young woman's overall aura was tired and lethargic, it was still enough to make heads turn. Instead, it made one feel pity and want to protect the beautiful young woman.

Of course, this was none other than Veronica Beaumont.

Just as Lucius spotted her, Veronica also spotted him the moment he came into her vision.

The second she spotted Lucius she froze up like a deer in headlights, but unlike other women that froze at the sight of Lucius, this wasn't due to his handsomeness but instead due to fear! 

The scene of Lucius rushing towards her with a set of crazed eyes was enough to make her feel fear even in this moment.

That's why when she saw Lucius smile and continue walking in her direction, she felt her heart leap out of her mouth.

She wanted to run away but she didn't want to be like last time and resolved herself to face him.

But with each step she saw Lucius walk up, his blood red eyes emanating with pressure.

When she saw Lucius appear right in front of her again, Veronica thought that this was going to be a repeat of what happened this morning and braced herself for impact when she suddenly felt a tap on her shoulder.

Plucking the courage to open her eyes when Veronica looked up she could see Lucius looking at her with a slightly embarrassed expression.

"Look, things got a bit heated back there and I took things a little too far. I want… to apologise."

"W-what?"

"I said I'm sorry. You weren't even involved and I nearly attacked you out of fear. It's my fault at the end of the day. If I have a chance I'd like to make it up to you. Fighting you has nothing to do with the promise I made to 'that person' after all."

After saying this Lucius didn't want to continue talking much longer.

"..w..wait!"

Veronica was so confused. She didn't know what was going on and she wanted to ask more about what  Lucius meant so as Lucius was leaving she quickly reached out to grab Lucius by the sleeve.

"After saying such strange words, you can't just leave. You should at least explain yourself."

Lucius couldn't speak because before he could even say a word  a cold voice rang out 

"You two, what are you doing?"

In that moment Xander had turned the corner seeing the entire scene with his eyes 

Hearing that familiar voice, Lucius didn't turn around but In a place where no one could see a devious smile appeared on his face 

'Perfect' thought Lucius with delight 

It was all falling to create the perfect scene.

As Xander arrived he could see his fiancé holding onto Lucius's sleeve with a red and embarrassed expression on her face.

Looking at this sight Xander wanted to explode. All of a sudden the hair on his head seemed less and less turquoise and more and more green!

Veronica couldn't see Xander's anger, so as she saw Xander she quickly put a smile on her face, threw  away Lucius's arm and walked up to Xander 

Xander's eyes quickly switched between Lucius and between Lucius Veronica and when he looks towards  Lucius sneered at Xander with an obvious mocking look in his eyes

"Xander I-"

But before he listened to Veronica's words he wanted the answer to the question he previously asked

"What were you two talking about before?" asked Xander his voice slightly chilly 

But Before Veronica could ease the situation with an explanation, Lucius just stepped forward and sneered 

"Humph! What does it matter? Do I have to tell you everything I do? If me and Veronica have a conversation we have no reason to tell you anything we say."

Faced with Lucius's burning eyes Xander subconsciously took a step back.

He couldn't be blamed the crazed beating Lucius had given had already left a shadow on Xander's heart 

But as a result of Lucius's confrontational and ambiguous words, a  crack had formed in Xander's trust of Veronica, and for Lucius this was just the beginning.

Naturally, this alone was not enough to break down a relationship but someone as arrogant and headstrong as Xander wouldn't humble himself to talk things out.

Although Lucius would be the one to push him on the road, Xander will be the one to walk the road of destruction himself.

As Lucius saw the seeds of doubt had properly been planted, he didn't see any point in staying around anymore and said,

"Since Xander's here, there's no point in me sticking around. I'll be taking my leave."

Veronica seemed to gain more confidence with Xander's presence and didn't want to let Lucius just leave like that.
