Hello Mr. King

Chapter 400 - For You

Yun Xiangxiang didn’t apply for leave so she could go to medical school. She went to the class as usual, but after the first lecture, a lot of news came from medical school, attracting many undergraduates from other courses.

“Xiangxiang, Xiangxiang, look, a hot guy!” Tao Manni showed her phone to Yun Xiangxiang.

Someone had photographed Song Mian while he was lecturing. Thanks to the Internet, the photo was sent to their class’ group.

If their class group had this picture, every other class must have it too. It was little wonder why they were more excited than meeting a big star.

Everyone had their idols, including the students in top institutions. Everyone was human after all, so they would tend to chase after their idols. The only difference here was they had more self-restraint.

Song Mian was different, though. He was someone whose resumé was enough for even students of top institutions to look up to. Everyone probably thought he was bald like what Tao Manni said when they saw the promotional banner a few days ago.

But now it was revealed that he wasn’t bald, and he was the textbook definition of handsome, so of course, it caused an uproar.

“Ah!! Why do I still have classes?”

“I envy those who can do what they want.”

“Holy cow. Even though I’m a guy, I want to see this guy for myself.”

Aside from their class, there were sounds of discussion, gasps, regret, and wailing coming from the corridor beside them.

Yun Xiangxiang shook her head before entering the class to sit at her designated place. In the following lecture, everyone wasn’t as focused as they were.

Many students were scrolling their phones, but the lecturer pretended not to see it.

University lecturers had different teaching attitudes than high school teachers. They taught very earnestly, but they wouldn’t force the students if they refused to learn.

The most the lecturers did was being stricter in taking attendance. As long as the students didn’t affect anyone in the class, the lecturers wouldn’t point the students out. The student were adults now, so they had to be responsible for themselves.

Tao Manni was begging for everyone to send her photos and videos in the group, but the ones who went to listen to the lecture didn’t care what she said, so there were only a few photos in the group for her after a long while of pleading.

Ma Linlin found this incredulous. She could understand if everyone else were curious since they had never seen Song Mian. Tao Manni knew he was Yun Xiangxiang’s boyfriend, so she could ask Yun Xiangxiang if she wanted to see his pictures. There was no need for her to plead.

“She’s probably enjoying the feel and thrill of riding on the hype,” Yun Xiangxiang answered with a smile when she heard Ma Linlin question her with a whisper.

Sometimes they just loved the feeling of hyping with their friends and having the feeling of longing for a person.

Tao Manni finally raised her head twenty minutes before class ended. The lecturer had already finished lecturing, and he was already assigning the homework.

“Finally, back from your obsession?” Ma Linlin teased when Tao Manni borrowed the notes from her so she could copy it before class ended

“The hot guy’s lecture is over.” Regret filled Tao Manni’s reply.

Yun Xiangxiang took a look, and she saw a lot of the students who were on their phones were trying to take down all the notes right now, just like Tao Manni was doing.

“I’ve finished my homework in the time you used on the phone.” Yun Xiangxiang thought she had to have Tao Manni know she had wasted some time.

“Can you don’t compare me to you?” Tao Manni wasn’t going to fall for that.

Yun Xiangxiang had already understood all of the courses, so she would work on other homework during classes. She would only not do the homework if it needed a computer, and there were no computers around.

So, of course, she had finished her homework. Not just the homework for this lecture, but the whole week.

“Are you going to be busy this weekend?” Ma Linlin noticed Yun Xiangxiang’s speed of finishing her homework was at least a few times faster than a couple of weeks like previously.

“Yeah, I have a job,” Yun Xiangxiang lowered her voice.

“Ah, behind the glamor lies the sweat and tears.” Feng Xiaolu sighed sagely.

Yun Xiangxiang shook her head with a smile, and they didn’t whisper around anymore. The lecturer told them they could discuss, but what they talked about was unrelated to the lecture.

Twenty minutes was enough for a speed writer like Tao Manni to finish copying the notes and highlighting the points. She would leave everything else to the weekends, where she had time to read through them.

Since they failed a few subjects last semester, they didn’t dare slack off this time.

When the bell rang, everyone had already finished packing up. After the lecturer took his glass of water and left, they picked up their books and shot out of the classroom.

Yun Xiangxiangw was waiting for Feng Xiaolu, the procrastinator. She would never pack up and leave until the very last moment.

Everyone had left when she was done packing, so they were the last batch who left the classroom.

The moment they left the classroom, a commotion was felt. The students who had left were standing at the side, their gazes locked on to one spot.

When Yun Xiangxiang’s group looked in that direction, they saw the tall, slender figure slowly approaching them.

He was wearing a casual black suit today. There was no tie, and the top two buttons on his light blue shirt were unbuttoned, making him look more approachable.

He was walking with ease and steadiness as if he was a man elegantly walking in a garden. Today, he still had his contacts on to cover up his purplish-black eyes.

The glistening black contact lens took away from his devilish charm, but it added a mysterious allure to him. There was a smile on his face.

As the sun was setting, the ball of fire shining from afar made his smile look blurry, illusory even.

Many students were following him, but for some reason, they did not go near, maintaining the distance of a couple of steps between them.

He appeared from the orangeish-crimson sunset, walking toward Yun Xiangxiang.

There was a sapphire-blue, velvet box in his hands. As he looked at her gently, he slowly gave her the jewelry box. “For you.”

Yun Xiangxiang was taken aback from this gift, and she only snapped out of it when Tao Manni poked her arm. As she met Song Mian’s smiling eyes, she was at a loss of what to do.

Yun Xiangxiang had started receiving a lot of gifts since junior high, thanks to her looks. But because of her father, the gifts were only given anonymously. Even if there were love letters, there would be no signature.

When she started attending university, thanks to her fame before that, she knew many boys had a crush on her, or at least that was what she had heard.

But nobody dared muster up the courage to confess, and perhaps that was because she was rarely on campus.

This was the first time Yun Xiangxiang received a campus gift, where youthful vibrancy was at its peak. On top of that, it was a guy who gave it to her in public.

To top it off, the man was Song Mian himself.

“Come on, Xiangxiang, take it.” Feng Xiaolu was anxious.

Oh, it’s so romantic. Oh, this is just like a fairy tale. Even though she was her friend, being able to see this close up for herself made her excited.

Look at how beautiful they look. Mmh, what a great dessert for the eyes, oh my god!
