Leon woke up the next day with Caitlyn and Lindy clinging to him. He didn't go to bed in the best mood, so his partners smothered him with love.

He was on a bed within a tent. While there was plenty of housing, everyone in Harem City still assembled in one location to build relationships.

"Okay. Let's get up." He sighed.

The second he said those words, Caitlyn's eyes snapped open in the most crazed way imaginable.

"Okay." Caitlyn replied while sitting up and blinking while staring at him with a warm smile.

Leon didn't know if he'd ever get used to her method of waking up. He didn't mind that she got up quickly. However, watching her eyes twitch to stave off sleepiness while staring at him made her look deranged.

"You won't win, Caitlyn…." Lindy groaned while lifting her head from the green pillow under her.

"I'll win…." Her head smashed down on the pillow with the full weight of gravity. She wasn't a morning person and was exhausted after creating a fifty-mile Phlegethon river.

So he gave her a gentle, wry smile before standing up. He grabbed a narcolepsy medication bottle and stared at it.

Leon had an aggressive sleep schedule drilled into him since he was born. So he couldn't sleep anymore, but he wished he could. Everything he experienced the day before was rough.

One of the main benefits of having no emotions was that he never had negative emotions except reactions to his phobia.

Yesterday changed that.

Leon felt rage, sadness, and concern for his partners fifty miles north of Harem City.

Then he returned, and Reina, one of the three people he had slight emotions for, got attacked. It came out she was sacrificing herself to protect him the whole time.

Worst of all, Manny almost broadcasted false claims about him to over a million candidates and millions of gods across the cosmos. He realized he had a devastating weakness that people could easily exploit.

"I know it's selfish for me to say this, but please take it love." Caitlyn whispered from behind him while wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Am I that easy to figure out?" Leon chuckled bitterly.

"Strategic usage of your medication is you specialty." She giggled softly.

"His specialty is in his fingers." Lindy groaned in her sleep, "Nothing else compares."

Leon closed his eyes and chuckled breathlessly. He opened the bottle and took the modafinil pill inside. "Well, at least this stuff gives me a hell of a buzz."

Narcolepsy doesn't normally cause a person to fall asleep randomly from a normal state. It makes people excessively drowsy during the day.

So the drugs narcoleptics get proscribed have recreational street value like amphetamines. Modafinil was not an amphetamine, but it had comparable effects.

He smiled wryly, realizing that he'd be wide awake all day as he put it into his mouth and dry swallowed the blue pill.

"Okay. Let's get going." Leon sighed.

He walked out of his tent, and his eyes widened in surprise. A light blue bunny girl was sleeping on a small cot outside of it.

"Ummm… hi, Tricksie?" He said awkwardly.

"Guaguuuah." The bunny girl groaned, "Stupid alarm. So rude. So motherfucking rude, ruin a girl's sleep. I'll teach you the consequences of nuking my slumber palace."

She reflexively reached for an invisible alarm clock but found a large rock instead. Still one-quarter awake, the large rock shrunk to the size of a pebble, and she tossed it out of the way.

Whoooooosh! Boom!

Leon turned around and saw his tent tipped as a large rock ripped through it. He stared at it blankly.

"Okay, okay! I'll get up!" Lindy cried from the tent.

Tricksie opened her eyes in confusion at the yelling woman and loud boom and turned to the left and right before looking up and seeing Leon staring blankly at her.

"Oh! Leon…. I… um… a girl needs her beauty sleep… and…." She stammered. Her eyes filled with defeat, and her light bunny ears drooped.

Leon scoff-laughed in amusement. "Tricksie, that skill, and hidden personality make you special. So keep it up."

Her eyes sparkled, and her ears popped up with happiness. They swayed to the side with happiness but stopped when she saw Caitlyn's murderous glare.

The two immediately stood off until Leon grabbed Caitlyn's scalp, turned her head, and walked to the food area.

"Aren't you gonna ask why I was sleeping here?" Tricksie asked as he walked away.

"I'm sure you have your reasons." He replied, "So do what you wish and try not to break things I own."

The bunny girl pouted a moment before Lindy stormed out of the tent.

"Hey, smash rabbit!" Lindy yelled, "You're usually a really fuckin' [cool bunny], but right now, you're a low-grade [cunt bunny]! Do your cool shit quietly, and don't wake me up again, or I'll boil you into rabbit stew!"

Tricksie blinked twice in confusion. She wanted to get angry, but at least 50% of what Lindy said was a compliment. That left her perplexed.

"Are you complimenting me or threatening me?" She asked in perplexion.

"Both!" Lindy snapped before turning toward Leon and Caitlyn and stomping away.

"Fuckin' cute ass crush bunny." She grumbled, "She's beautiful and charming and has fluffy Leon magnets on her damn head, but she still complains."

"Hey!" Tricksie yelled while running after her.

Lindy turned to the bunny girl with murder in her eyes. "What?"

"How do you do that?" Tricksie asked in perplexion.

"Do what?" Lindy asked in annoyance.

Tricksie's eyes glided to the left nervously, trying not to give up too much. "Release anger and not… you know… smash things?"

Lindy's eyes narrowed in confusion. "Are you saying you have a temper problem, huff fluff?"

"Huff fluff?" Tricksie giggled while closing her eyes and flashing Lindy a smile. The latter looked down and saw the bunny woman's nails digging into her palms.

"Knew it." Lindy chuckled with a knowing smile.

Tricksie's eyes widened, and her ears drooped, knowing she got played.

Lindy gave her a slight smile. "Look, find the good things in people and then point them out while you grill them. It's a survival mechanism for people with temper problems."

The bunny woman blinked twice.

"Survival mechanism? People I get angry with, you know, SMASH! Get it?" Tricksie giggled, "I don't really have a problem surviving."

"Name upgrated: Twist Kit." Lindy chuckled in disbelief. (1)

"Don't call me a child!" Tricksie huffed indignantly.

"Then don't act like one. Look, just smash whatever you want as long as it doesn't bother Leon, kay?" The brunette said bluntly, "You're mentally deranged; no one cares. Now, I have to be with my man. Later."

Lindy turned her head forward and continued walking, leaving the bunny woman stunned. She walked down the park and headed to the tables the breakfast team was unfolding.

Leon sat at a table on a bench, staring blankly at nothing.

She walked up and wrapped her hands around his neck, and touched his chest.

"Hey, Lindy." He said with a gentle voice. While he was smiling, his eyes weren't smiling.

"Hey." Lindy whispered.

Caitlyn stared at him like a compliant kitten, not knowing what to do.

"Can I… join you, Leon?" Reina asked from his side.

"Of course." Leon chuckled lifelessly while motioning to the other side of the table.

Caitlyn and Lindy looked at Reina with narrowed eyes. While they didn't mind her being insane, they didn't like that she toyed with them for their amusement.

It was a stark contrast between Caitlyn, who hid her personality for legal reasons, and Lindy, who hid her addiction. Both had reasons for lying, and it wasn't for amusement.

"Um… Leon?" Reina said, "Can you please ask Caitlyn and Lindy if it's okay if I sit here?"

Leon's eyes widened in perplexion. "They're… right here."

"Ah, yes. It's just that if I ask them, I won't trust what they say. So I won't be comfortable." Reina replied.

He didn't know whether to laugh or cry at her confession. One interaction told Leon that honest Reina was extremely insecure to the point of being terrifyingly annoying.

"Look, it's okay if you sit. Okay?" Leon said.

Reina nodded and sat down awkwardly, glancing at Caitlyn and Lindy with mild disgust.

"Is there a problem?" He asked in annoyance.

"They're glaring at me please make them stop." She requested.

Leon's eyebrow twitched, and both women growled. "No… can't you just pretend they don't exist?"

"Sure. If that's what you want." Reina replied with a resolute nod, "So, Leon. Thank you so much for being… so kind to me yesterday."

Her confidence and relaxation doubled instantly, stunning everyone present.

"No. I should be thanking you." Leon replied with a nod.

"There's no need to thank me." Reina said, "I needed to regain your trust after lying to you."

"Ahem." Lindy coughed, indicating that apologies were also owed to her [friends]. However, the woman didn't even glance at her.

Leon turned to Lindy and then back to Reina and narrowed his eyes.

"Did I say something wrong?" She asked.

"No…. Thank you for rebuilding trust." He sighed.

"Of course. I hope you'll continue placing faith in me." Reina said, "I promise to stay loyal to you."

Leon laugh-scoffed. "100 reputation points say you will."

Reina giggled playfully. Her reputation with Leon skyrocketed to a hundred over the week. Now her emotion multiplier was jacked through the roof.

In short, he was worried about how she'd twist. However, she seemed really mellow—too mellow.

"Well, you're officially one of us." Leon said with a slight smile.

Reina's eyes widened in confusion. "One of us? Who are you talking about?"

Caitlyn and Lindy's eyes filled with murderous rage. However, the woman didn't notice them.

Leon looked at the two women breathing smoke, then back at Reina in perplexion. His partners were the two most feared people in Harem City, yet she didn't blink at their rage.

She didn't even register them.

"Reina. What do you think of Caitlyn's hair?" Leon asked while holding the blonde back.

"Who's Caitlyn?" Reina asked while blinking twice.

[Sanctuary has blocked an attack. The enemy is in a safe zone and cannot be ejected.]

Caitlyn tried hitting Reina, but the woman didn't even blink. However, Leon could see sweat beading around her neck.

He pulled Caitlyn back and narrowed his eyes at Reina.

"Reina stop pretending Caitlyn doesn't exist and [pretend] you love her instead." Leon instructed.

Reina gulped and closed her eyes, taking multiple deep breaths. She opened her eyes.

"Hey… Caitlyn." She said nervously with a slight blush, "Your… hair looks nice today."

Reina waved her hands in front of her face in embarrassment.

"I-I mean, you always look nice." She said while turning away with a blush, "It's just that you look extra nice today."

Leon, Caitlyn, and looked at each other in extreme perplexion. Mere moments before, the woman ignored the two to a suicidal extent. Now, she looked like she had a helpless crush on Caitlyn. It wasn't just bewildering; it was surreal.
