She couldn’t even believe that she was friends with someone like that.

Suddenly, she felt as if her puppy finally grew into a beautiful dog. She was so proud and delighted.

Uncle Han quietly walked over to her and said smilingly, “What do you think about Mr. Jiang?”

“Impressive.” Nian Xi had to admit that she used to doubt Jiang Yuning because of his weird character. But now, those doubts had gone.

Uncle Han sighed. “Sadly, Mr. Jiang does not have a girlfriend who understands him.”

“That’s all right. I’ll find him a good one when we get back,” said Nian Xi honestly. “I’ll ask my mom. She’s very resourceful.”

Uncle Han sighed.

No wonder Miss Nian has been single. It’s understandable, he thought.

As the conversations between scientists lasted until half-past one, Nian Xi’s legs went limp.

Aren’t these crazy people hungry at all? She wondered.

She glanced at Uncle Han. He hurriedly reminded the people, “We haven’t had lunch yet. It’s about time. We’ll be here for a few days and we will have plenty of time to talk.”

“That’s right. I can’t believe we have already spent over an hour chatting.” Professor Wang said looking at the time.

Finally, people started leaving.

The chauffeur drove the car over and Jiang Yuning and Nian Xi got in. “You guys had a really long chat,” Nian Xi said.

Jiang Yuning smilingly nodded. Talking about physics seemed to make him happy.

He then lowered his head and wrote Nian Xi a note. ‘I’m so tired. I can’t talk anymore.’

Nian Xi stayed silent. Really? I thought you couldn’t be tired, she thought.

Rolling her eyes, she said, “Get some sleep. I won’t talk to you.”

As they returned to the hotel, lunch was served. Jiang Yuning had a little food, then went back to his room to rest.

Nian Xi, Zhan Hong, and the others talked about what happened that morning; they were all full of passion.

Fang Qi said to Nian Xi with excitement, “Make some efforts and get Mr. Jiang. You’ll bring glory on your ancestors by making a scientist like him a member of your family.”

Zhan Hong frowned and said, “I think that won’t be right. Mr. Jiang’s parents are both scientists, so he is a genius. Genes are very important. I think we should let their good genes continue, instead of letting Nian Xi ruin the hope of that.”

“Captain Zhan…” Nian Xi glared at him, and responded through clenched teeth, “What’s wrong about my genes? My father serves in the army, and my mother is good at business…”

“In comparison with the gene of scientists, I think your business gene is just too worldly,” said Zhan Hong.

Nian Xi stayed silent, wondering how on earth did she have colleagues like him.

“Bye.” Nian Xi turned around grumpily.

As she prepared to go and take a nap, she received a phone call from Nian Junting.

“What?” she said.

“What do you think?” Nian Junting sneered. “If I didn’t call you this morning, I wouldn’t know that you are sleeping together with that guy.”

“What are you talking about?” Nian Xi was confused. “Did you call me this morning?”

“Jiang Yuning answered the call. He even told me not to disturb you,” said Nian Junting with a cold voice. “That boy is not good…”

“Brother, how can you say that about him?”

Before, Nian Xi wouldn’t feel uncomfortable when she heard that, but after seeing how Jiang Yuning won honor for the country, she had a much better impression of him. “He is a scientist,” she said. “He’s nothing like you and other shallow businessmen.”
