Chu Lei lowered her head, held his hands and said, “Stop talking about Mo Jin. Hearing about her and her family can really make me uncomfortable. Tell me about your injury. How many days do you have to stay in the hospital? Who did this to you? Have you called the police?”

“I didn’t call the police,” Yi Jingxi turned his face away and spoke flatly.

“You’re injured so badly. You mustn’t move,” Chu Lei’s heart ached so much that she even shed tears. “You know who did this to you, don’t you? You just don’t want to tell me about it.”

“I did this to myself. It’s exactly what I deserve,” Yi Jingxi smiled bitterly. “I beg you, don’t call the police. I’m still involved in a lawsuit now…”
