Chapter 709 I Guess I Can’t Leave Tonigh

“…”

Luosang was shocked.

Nian Junting looked like he was brainwashed by advertisements.

“Is this really… good?” Luosang stuttered as she picked up a box and examined it.

“Of course. I bought you walnuts too. Remember to eat more of those. It helps to supplement the brain,” Nian Junting said with frustration, seeing how clueless she looked.

He was the one who picked a girl so much younger than himself, he thought.

She didn’t know any better.

It seemed like he had to do the work here.

“I only just got pregnant so you don’t have to buy me so many things.” Luosang thought that her body was fine, and he was overreacting.

Sister Lan chimed in, “Sang, this is only a small part of it. Young Master bought dozens of sets of baby clothes. He bought everything, from prams to cribs and mother products. He has already filled an entire room with things.”

Luosang was in shock.

Nian Junting raised his chin, and he appeared pleased with himself. He was sparkling with excitement, “I heard from my employees at work today and I couldn’t resist shopping in the afternoon. I felt like you and the baby needed everything in the store when I went there. I didn’t think I bought enough, so I’m going shopping again tomorrow. I’m also arranging for the renovation company to remake one of the rooms in the villa into a baby nursery. We will use the most environmentally friendly materials. I don’t want our baby inhaling any toxins or poisons. Otherwise, we can buy another villa. I think my place might be a little too small. I also want to build an amusement park in our house for our child.”

Luosang was sweating from anxiety.

She was worried that he would buy out the shops before they even had the baby. He would probably spend millions of dollars, so she quickly said, “Stop being such a spendthrift. Forget about it. I think you should hand me your wallet.”

Nian Junting grinned, “Fine, I’ll hand it over if you move in with me.”

Luosang fell silent immediately.

“Forget it. Go ahead and spend your money.”

It was money that she earned anyway. She didn’t have to feel bad for him.

Later, sister Lan cooked for them in the evening.

Luosang sat on the sofa watching television while Nian Junting was peeling and cutting fruit for her.

Luosang couldn’t even tease him.

Sister Lan only finished preparing dinner when Luosang started burping from all the fruit she had.

Dinner looked amazing. The dishes thought out carefully and it was a nutritious and scrumptious meal.

Luosang was feeling full but had an appetite to eat more once she saw the dishes, so she had another bowl of rice.

After dinner, Sister Lan washed the dishes and cleaned up the house. Luosang continued watching television until she realized it had gotten quiet around her. She turned to see Nian Junting reading a book titled, ‘How To Be a Good Dad’ and he appeared engrossed. Under the yellow lamp, his features were accentuated by the shadows casted on his face.

She was stunned.

She remembered what the intern doctors were talking about.

As a man who was about to be a father, he was acting extremely well. He was taking the whole matter much more serious than she was.

Suddenly, she began to look forward to the arrival of their child.

Although she might not be able to work in the later stages of her pregnancy, she could still invest in her career after giving birth.

Some women preferred to build their careers before starting a family, but she merely decided to do it the other way around.

Nian Junting snuggled up to her and said, “Luo, look, the book says here that a couple should sleep together when the mother is pregnant. It helps the baby feel safe and secure. Then our baby can feel both mummy and daddy’s love from inside.”

Luosang turned her face towards him, she was speechless. She caught sight of his sparkling eyes and he said, “I guess I can’t leave tonight.”
