Chapter 1918: SInce Young I never Had Any Foot Odor

"Doctor, how is he?"

After the doctor finished his examination, An Lan asked, "When can he be discharged?"

"He can stay for another two days. If his concussion improves, he can be discharged," the doctor said, before he went to check on the other patients.

At that moment, only Xu Baohan and her were left on the hospital bed, staring at each other. Xu Baohan still had a neck brace around his neck. His short hair was messy and he had not washed his face. An Lan smiled as she looked at him.

Xu Baohan smiled as well. "How did you sleep last night?"

"It was alright," An Lan mumbled as she turned her face away. "It's just… Do you have foot odor? I kept smelling something strange when I sleep."

Xu Baohan's handsome face froze. "I don't."

After saying that, he felt that the problem was rather serious, but he was afraid that she would not believe him. He added, "since young, I never had any foot odor."

"Is that so?" An Lan blinked.

"…"

Xu Baohan and An Lan looked at each other for a while, and in the end, he wasn't sure anymore. "Could it be… could it be that you didn't wash your feet last night?"

After saying that, the tips of his ears flushed into a cute red.

An Lan looked at him and burst into laughter. "I'm lying, I'll get you some water to wash your face."

"I want to wash my feet too," Xu Baohan added.

"I was lying just now," An Lan turned to laugh.

"I know, but I still want to wash my feet," Xu Baohan repeated stubbornly.

An Lan didn't expect him to care so much, but she still poured him some water to wash his feet. As she watched him continuously scrubbing his feet in the bucket, she was really worried that his skin would be damaged.

After taking care of Xu Baohan, An Lan finally had time to tidy herself up. While she was brushing her teeth in the bathroom, she suddenly heard the old lady shout, "Hey, who are you people? Why are you bringing so many cameras in?"

She hurriedly spat out her mouthwash and saw a few reporters standing in front of Xu Baohan's bed to interview him. "Judge Xu, I'm a reporter from Xia City television station. I'd like to interview you about the falling incident at the courthouse yesterday."

Xu Baohan leaned on the pillow, his handsome brows furrowed tightly at the arrival of these people.

However, the reporters ignored his expression and scrambled to raise their microphones in front of him. His neck was injured and he was unable to move, appearing rather helpless.

"As reporters, you seem to lack common sense," An Lan's voice suddenly came from behind the reporters.

Her voice had always been solemn and stern in court. When the reporters heard her voice, they subconsciously looked towards the source of her voice.

The woman behind them was wearing a soft and pink jacket, her hair draped over her shoulders, and her gaze was sharp.

The reporters felt that she looked familiar, so they automatically made way for her.

An Lan calmly walked to Xu Baohan's side, her gaze sweeping across the reporters in front of her, as if she had instantly memorized everyone's faces.

"I don't care how you guys interviewed him in the past, but I will teach you guys a lesson today. I can call the police right now for all of your actions." An Lan enunciated each word clearly. "There is no difference between your actions of disturbing a patient and indirectly murdering someone. Didn't you see that his neck was injured? Since you guys are here to interview him, you should know that he fell from the 12th floor to save someone. He's just an ordinary person, not a superman. As a reporter, you have to have a basic conscience and morals."

The reporters' faces burned, but one middle-aged man was not convinced. "We've asked around," he said. "He just has a concussion. It's not that he can't be interviewed."
