Jiang Peiying smiled and explained. “He said that to me.”

Mo Jin fell silent.

In other words, was her son’s previous statement not directed at her? Was her son shameless to the extent that he was addressing another woman as Mom?

Was he even still her son?

When had he ever spoken so graciously to her?

At the side, Yan Su blushed as she glanced at Mo Liuxi, and her heart inexplicably went out to Mo Jin. Quickly, she said, “Auntie, I’ve been busy touring the country for the first half of the year, but I’ve wanted very much to visit you too.”

His mother had barely been at their doorstep for a minute, and less than three sentences in, she was already acknowledging herself as Yan Su’s mother. That was pretty presumptuous…

However, she could not bear to wake her little granddaughter up. Her heart felt moved. She had given up hope that her son would ever get married. Now, here he was with a wife and daughter. What a surprise this was.

“Susu, it’s been hard on you!” Mo Jin was especially grateful to Yan Su. “I can imagine how much sorrow Liuxi caused you. Now that the child is already so big, it’s about time for both of you to get married. In-Law, why don’t we hold a quick wedding in summer? Don’t worry about the betrothal gifts and the details. We’ll make sure that Susu is treated well.”

Jiang Peiying opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by Mo Jin again. “With regards to their marital home, what do you think of a landscaped villa by the foot of Mount Mu in Xia City, in addition to another villa by Interlaken in Switzerland?”

Jiang Peiying did not know what to say.

She was not familiar with Mount Mu. However, real estate was very expensive in Xia City, and a random villa easily cost tens of millions. Moreover, she was referring to a landscaped villa and a house in Switzerland. Those were not properties that money alone could buy.
