Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian

Chapter 1264 - I Like You. I Really Do

Jiang Yuning nodded and asked her, “Why did you suddenly cancel the wedding?”

“It was complicated.” Nian Xi sighed. “The trigger was that I was once on night shift without dinner. I wanted him to bring me some food, but he didn’t. Instead, he lied to me. He told me that he was with his army friends, but I saw him coming out of a bar holding Shuangwei in his arms when I was on patrol…”

“He cheated on you.” Jiang Yuning nodded again. He believed that he had it figured out.

Feng Ji Chuan turned out to be a dishonest guy. He couldn’t believe he actually saw a guy like that as his number one rival in love. Feng Ji Chuan didn’t deserve it at all.

Nian Xi was such a wonderful girl, but Feng Ji Chuan was too stupid to cherish her.

“He didn’t cheat on me.” Nian Xi explained awkwardly. “They were just a little too close. I couldn’t stand the fact that some other woman was more important to him than I was. I wish the person I love to love me back, and I want him to love me solely.”

“I will,” said Jiang Yuning determinedly and seriously.

“If you can’t do that… I’ll break up with you too.” Nian Xi shrugged. “Are you still unhappy?”

“A little. But I also feel lucky.” Jiang Yuning gave an innocent smile. “You almost became someone else’s wife.”

“Well, that’s true…” Before Nian Xi could finish, Jiang Yuning suddenly reached out and held her.

“Xi, I like you. I really do.”

Nian Xi wasn’t prepared for that. She gave a start, feeling how much he cared for her.

“Let’s go. I’m going to the market to buy pork. I’m going to make dumplings for you.” Jiang Yuning let go of her and grinned. “I’ll provide you with as much food as you want. I won’t be like Feng Ji Chuan.”

Feeling his passion, Nian Xi didn’t even have the heart to tell him that she didn’t like dumplings that much. She had dumplings for lunch because she was too lazy to make anything else.

She had no plan to ruin his passion though.

Next, the two of them drove to the supermarket.

Nian Xi had no interest in grocery shopping. She picked some fruit, then went to the shelf of instant noodles.

Nian Xi picked two large packs of instant noodles, each large pack contained five small packs. Seeing that, Jiang Yuning furrowed his delicate brows.

He put the instant noodles back on the shelf.

“What are you doing?” Nian Xi complained.

“That’s junk food. You shouldn’t eat so many instant noodles.” Jiang Yuning was acting like it was the first day he met her. “Do you always eat these?”

Nian Xi felt embarrassed to admit that she was too lazy to cook. That might shock him.

“No,” she said. “Sometimes I work very late. I only eat instant noodles when I’m too tired to cook or order take-out. I know it’s junk food, so I never use the seasoning provided with the noodles. I only use my own…”

“Instant noodles are fried. They’ll make you unhealthy if you have too much of them.” Jiang Yuning shook his head stubbornly.

“What else can I eat when I’m hungry?” Nian Xi curved her lips downward. “You don’t live with me. I’d starve to death waiting for you to come to my apartment to cook for me. Will you order take-out for me?”

Jiang Yuning felt troubled. “I’m working on a project with Professor Han. I can be busy sometimes too. How about this. One of my friends invented a robot chef. I’ll ask her to give you one.”

That was amazing. Nian Xi was stunned.

Having a boyfriend who was a scientist made her feel like being with an almighty god some times.

“Do-does that kind of robot really exist?”

Ever since she got together with Jiang Yuning, she often found herself ignorant. He renewed the way she saw the world over and over again.

“Does the robot do a good job? My floor mopping robot did a very lousy job. I’m not using that anymore. I didn’t feel good about it.”
