Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian

Nian Junting booked the largest banquet hall for his son.

Nian Xi and Jiang Yuning took the elevator to that floor.

When they got off, they saw Nian Junting standing by the door, holding his son in his arms.

After guiding some guests into the hall, Nian Junting turned and saw Nian Xi and Jiang Yuning walking toward him.

His handsome face instantly started twitching, revealing all kinds of expressions. Finally, he managed to look at the two of them.

“Brother, let me see my lovely little nephew.” Nian Xi pretended not to notice the look on her brother’s face but walked straight to her nephew and reached out her arms.

The baby knew her. He gave her a big grin and almost melted her heart. She made an effort to calm herself down, kiss the baby and say to Nian Junting, “Big brother, this is Niang Junting. You guys have met.”

“Big brother.” Jiang Yuning had been keeping Nian Xi’s words in mind. He quickly nodded and greeted Nian Junting.

I am not your big brother Nian Junting thought. Then he asked him, “How old are you?”

“Thirty.”

“So I’m not your big brother.” Nian Junting wore a cold face. “I’m only thirty, too.”

“Yeah?” Jiang Yuning blinked. A weird look flashed across his eyes.

“What ‘s that look in your eyes?” Nian Junting grasped it and sneered. “Do you think you look younger than me?”

“No.” Jiang Yuning hurriedly shook his head. Of course, he didn’t dare admit that he did.

Nian Xi heaved a sigh of relief. Thankfully, he didn’t share his real feelings. But she decided to do it for him. “Brother, you do look older than he does,” she said.

“Run that by me again.” Nian Junting narrowed his eyes and took a step forward.

Jiang Yuning hurriedly stepped before Nian Xi. He racked his brain to come up with some comforting words. “Don’t mind me. I heard that people do tend to look older than before they had kids. Taking care of children can be quite exhausting. I might even look older than you when I have kids with Xi.”

“Who’s going to have kids with you?”

“Who said you can have kids with Nian Xi?” said brother and sister said in unison.

Jiang Yuning rubbed his ears and added, “I know I’m not qualified to have kids with her yet, but I’ll do my best.”

“Okay, time to go inside.” Nian Xi quickly put the red envelope into Apple’s pocket, then dragged Jiang Yuning into the hall.

Oh no. What happened next was even worse than facing Nian Junting at the door.

In less than a minute, all members of the Nian and Murong families rose to their feet as if they had just seen a first-class protected animal.

Ahead of the others, Nian Qingshan walked over with a smile and said, “Xi, you have a boyfriend! A handsome one. Cool.”

Then his wife came over after him and said, “He looks so gentle and polite. I can tell he’s from a family of academics. Xi, I didn’t know that you already had a boyfriend.”

As if that wasn’t enough, Nian Junlei, a cousin of Nian Junting, chimed in, “Xi, not bad. You’re all about strength, and he’s gentle. You two are a perfect match for each other.”

“This boy is so pretty,” said Grandma Nian. “He looks like a superstar, no worse than Junting. You two will have beautiful children.”

“The boy is pretty,” said Yu Wen. “He looks so nice. I like him. Xi, I thought you were focused solely on work, but I see I was wrong. You are focusing on both your job and your romantic relationship.”

“I don’t think Nian Xi is good enough for you,” said Murong Ze.

“What a beautiful boy. He looks so tender. He’s young, isn’t he?” Murong Cheng said.
