GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

1370 3 Party Invasion.

This sound attack produced by the sound blaster is a weakened version of the scream that dominated the battlefield when the plane was invaded by the Supreme beasts. However, each sound blaster is an Origin weapon and there are thousands of them, not just one. So they have the advantage of quantity if not quality.

By the Mechanical Emperor's estimate, the sound attacks should be more than enough to inconvenience the Origin god Stellos and prevent them from shearing through the robots easily with their Origin diamond divine ability the way the Shadow of Despair tore through his enemies.

With these arrangements done, the Invigilator and the observers focused on the Shadow prowler in the Shadow of Despair's base. She is the highest priority and they don't want to be distracted from her. But their attention was finally taken away when they heard another alarm.

The Mechanical Emperor stated, "Some more people are invading the plane. They are attacking from the void and they are more threatening than the first invasion. We have to deploy our complete defense measures or we will lose the plane."

Legion was right that no one would stand by and watch the Supreme Alliance have their way during the era of conquest. But they were wrong about just how early their enemies were planning to move against the supreme alliance.

These enemies don't know that the Supreme Alliance is already planning to suppress the other races but they know that the Supreme Alliance is a major stakeholder in the plane and will be a powerful contender in the era of conquest so they want to deal a great blow to them before the era of conquest starts.

The problem is that it is very difficult to harm the Supreme Alliance. For one, despite knowing that one-fifth of the total planes in the realm of high heaven are under the control of the supreme alliance, it is very difficult to find which plane is theirs. Navigation in the void between planes is easy but it is very difficult to find a plane that you weren't born in amongst the more than a hundred thousand planes.

If you don't have a connection with a plane due to it being your home plane where you were born, the plane will not stand out to you in the void. The other planes will appear to you as similar bubbles in the void. You will need something linked to a particular plane to find it in the void. That's why the planar portal is important. If you know where the planar portal of a plane is, then you can always find it.

But the planar portal is always well-defended. You can always expect tough resistance in planes under the control of the Supreme Alliance and swift reinforcements. That's just for the planar portal. Within the planes are defense systems and outside the plane is a megastructure in the form of a ring around the plane. This megastructure houses war machines and origin gods.

These arrangements make it nearly impossible to take a plane from the Supreme Alliance. But if by chance, there is a plane that hasn't built the extraplanar defense ring, then such a plane stands a chance of being invaded and successfully snatched from the Supreme Alliance. But of course, such a plane has to be found first.

The Origin gods of the Stellos fought the Supreme Alliance and were lucky to die in defeat. There is a worse outcome of being sealed so they count themselves lucky that they don't remember the fight with the supreme alliance.

That lack of recollection is enough for them to know how dangerous the Supreme Alliance is. So they didn't return for the second round to court death. But that didn't mean that they had given up. No, they went in search of allies.

They needed help to defeat the Supreme Alliance and regain their plane. Most people refused to help them fight such a behemoth. This pushed them to find allies in unlikely places. The Stellos went in search of dragons.

As they say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. The dragons were willing to fight the Supreme Alliance without the need for much convincing. In fact, they were rearing to go as soon as they heard that this plane didn't have the extraplanar defense.

The dragons jumped on the chance to cooperate against the Supreme beast easily. Unfortunately, enthusiasm is not a replacement for manpower. The dragons the Stelios found were too few in number to be a threat.

Dragons don't have an alliance so it is very difficult to accumulate the might of the dragons. So they had to wait a while for the news to reach other dragons.

The dragons spread the word about attacking the Supreme Beasts so they managed to get a considerable amount of help. But it took 3 Origin cycles to get enough immortal dragons. That's what delayed their attack on the plane.

The Stelios and dragons were in the midst of their preparations when a certain Supreme Beast found them and offered to infiltrate the plane for them. This Supreme Beast claimed to have betrayed the Supreme Alliance and even swore an Oath to The Stelios and dragons were in the midst of their preparations when a certain Supreme Beast found them and offered to support this claim.

The Shadow Lurker used the Stellos to acquire information about the Stellaris plane and infiltrated it. All she did for a long while was watch without attacking. She knew that she had been discovered as soon as she entered the plane but it didn't matter to the plan.

So the invaders became a party of 3 and everything was going according to plan. However, as if ithings were not good enough for the Stellos, another supreme race other than the dragons decided to help them in attacking the Stellaris plane.

The Stellos were afraid then. It is one thing to work with the condescending dragons. It is another thing to work with a race that cannot die. They were scared that these races would not give them back their plane after the invasion.
