287 Domain types (Part 1)

Raydon had previously noticed a significant expansion in both the potency of his aura and the range it encompassed when he utilized the aura technique, thanks to the sub-skill he obtained upon raising his spirit stat to 100.

And then, with Zpehyr's explanation, when he realized that it was actually a domain, he believed that the spirit sub-skill was having an effect on his domain. However, up until this point, he had not attempted to test it using the aura sub-skill that is associated with his stamina stat.

In spite of the fact that these aura sub-skills operated in the same way as passive skills, they were, in fact, semi-active skills that did not become active until Raydon selected a target. Now that he had gained this awareness, he made the decision to attempt to combine his aura technique with the aura sub-skill of the charisma stat that he had just recently acquired.

Raydon closed his eyes and entered a meditative state, employing a technique that enabled him to delve into the inner realms of his consciousness as he slowly continued to follow Diam.

Within this ethereal landscape, he came face to face with his own soul, which appeared to him as a gloomy cloud containing the essence of ash. Harnessing the mana within his soul, saturated with the ash element, Raydon employed the aura technique to release it from his body.

And just like before, waves of a sinister aura that was bursting with destructive potential began to emanate from his body. This wave that radiated from Raydon's body like radiation began to shatter the place where he had stepped, as well as the items that had been placed for decoration in the hallway.

'Just as I suspected, the domain I'm currently utilizing merged automatically with the sub-skill associated with my spirit stat,' Raydon contemplated upon witnessing the destructive prowess.

'This is... a domain? ' It was the first time Diam had witnessed him employ this technique, prompting her to momentarily glance back at Raydon.

'No, it's not a genuine domain, but it's not far from it,' Diam was aware that Raydon couldn't possess a natural domain as an E-Rank and recognized that he was currently employing a supreme technique.

Recognizing Raydon's motives, Diam made the decision not to interfere and instead silently made sure that everyone else nearby was safe.

'Now all that's left for me to do is incorporate the presence aura. ' Raydon gave it some thought and then attempted to use the sub-skill associated with his charisma stat in conjunction with this technique.

Raydon once again lowered his head and closed his eyes, this time concentrating on the presence that was emanating from his own body.

He created his current domain using the aura technique by forcibly releasing the mana that resides in his soul. However, now he used the aura technique once more while the domain was still active, and this time he forcibly expanded and spread the presence emanating from his body and tried to add it to his domain.

'Huh? '

To his surprise, Raydon succeeded, witnessing the transformation of his domain's properties.

The ominous and destructive wave of black radiation, which had been steadily growing, underwent a remarkable transformation as it continued to grow. It was no longer malicious; all that was left was a shadowy halo that encircled Raydon's body and surroundings.

However, this newly ascended aura no longer possessed the menacing quality it once did; rather, it exuded a calming essence, much like how a soft breeze would caress the environment.

"He altered the nature of his domain," Diam murmured, further astounded by what she was witnessing.

As it continued to exert its pressure on her, the power that she had earlier experienced as oppressive and overwhelming transformed into a force that was reassuring and authoritative. The presence of the force provoked a response from every part of Diam's being, reawakening feelings that had lain dormant for a considerable amount of time.

'This is unbelievable, ' Diam whispered, feeling a surge of emotions she hadn't experienced in years.

It seemed as though the materialized presence of Raydon, which took the form of a holy dark halo and encircled Diam's body as well as the bodies of everyone else, had the mission of functioning as a shield to protect them from any potential dangers that may have been lurking.

As the ethereal presence enveloped Diam, a profound transformation took place within her. The burdens and hardships that had plagued her for years dissipated into the ether, replaced by an overwhelming sense of security and tranquility. It was as if she had found the safest haven in the whole wide world, a sanctuary that protected her from any harm and bestowed upon her an unshakeable calm that could not be shaken or disturbed by anything.

At that precise moment, the woman who had existed for an untold number of years and possessed extraordinary powers went through lots of forgotten emotions. She was taken back to a more naive and vulnerable time in her life, one in which she sought comfort in the embrace of a caring father figure. Within the confines of this haven, she had the sensation of being a young child, oblivious to the problems and strains of the outside world, and secure in the knowledge that she was being cherished and protected in the most secure of arms.

'I can't believe I'm being affected to this extent, ' she muttered to herself in awe as a profound sense of gratitude and affinity washed over her, and she fought back tears that threatened to spill from her eyes, repressing the overwhelming urge to get down on her knees and worship the source of this oppressive presence.

Even with her B-Rank item holder status and charisma build, she was astonished by the profound impact of the domain's power. Fearing the potential consequences for others, she grew tense and began to observe the rest of the mansion.
