Currently, Adam was standing inside a changing room while examining himself in the mirror and the new shirt he had bought as he deeply pondered about the new knowledge he had gained not too long ago from what he deemed to be a rather… unsavory experience.

Firstly— unlike what was shown in the movies that had people thrown into an active volcano for the shits and giggles, it wasn't really possible to simply sink in the viscous molten lava itself. Lava was far denser than water after all. In fact, lava was more or less between 100,000 to 1.1 million times more viscous than water, based on the temperature and the silica content in the composition of the molten and viscous liquid of unbelievably fiery temperatures. It also was three times more dense than water in general so there was that too.

Secondly— he found that dying by falling into a volcano was truly fucking painful. However, unexpected as that may be, it was really swift and to the point. The very moment he stopped protecting himself from the fire and smoke and everything with the usage of [The World], he quickly died from the heat and smoke rather than the fiery lava itself. Whether or not his body was at the peak of humanity, without Prana, he was only a human and death came fast really fast to him.

The third thing he learned was that dying inside a volcano was something incredibly stupid to enact. He died two times in a row because he had forgotten whenever he died, he would be resurrected and readjusted to the very same place where his body lost its life. And that very place was obviously the volcano full of heat, smoke, and lava in this case. He even had to kill himself a third time because when he had awakened for the second time, he once again wasn't swift enough to form a protective barrier around him and his hand ended up burning to bits.

Since he didn't have any healing factor, he didn't really have much choice but to off himself. Thankfully, this time he had found a cleaner way.

Blowing his head up with a rock flying at the speed of sound was pretty ingenious of him, to say the least.

Something to keep in mind when he would try to kill people in the future.

The last thing he learned from this harrowing experience was perhaps a sort of good news for him and the best outcome he had achieved from this endeavor. The time it took for him to come back to life had considerably shortened along the way and he was slowly becoming more aware even when he was technically dead or in a state of stasis before resurrection.

He had no doubt that soon, very soon, he would be able to stay completely awake even through death or just simply revive almost immediately once his curse progressed a bit more with the use of his [Adaptation].

This would completely change the way he fought and behaved in any situation. He would truly become an immortal monster that feared nothing even while fighting.

[I believe the speed of your revival is affected by the strength of your soul. What do you think?]

'Haha. As if everything wasn't already affected by it. It was only a matter of time.'

Clearly, in this world, the soul was everything. Even more important than the physical body from what he had gathered.

"Mister, what do you think?"

The sweet voice of a woman brought him out of his musing. Adam smiled at the woman who was batting eyes at him while trying to appear cute. Though she was indeed as cute as one could be. He also noticed how one of the buttons of her shirt had been undone, giving a rather tantalizing view of her impressive cleavage.

Ignoring the woman who was basically throwing herself at him, Adam examined himself in the mirror for one last time.

Objectively and subjectively speaking, he was definitely very handsome. It was even more so in this long-sleeved white shirt that he had bought just for this occasion. His muscles were quite developed at this point and showed a clear definition without being overblown and swelling in places as he would see in the typical bodybuilders. His shoulders were broad and his smile was deep and alluring. He was simply perfect, in a word.

"I will take it."

He could easily have any clothes he wanted through the use of his illusions. But as a form of respect for Natasha, he decided to buy proper clothes for her and not be illusive in front of his girlfriend. This was technically his first true date, after all.

"You look dashing in it sir."

Her eyes sparkled when Adam took his black card to pay for everything. This card had been given to him by Yui. This was a special account created by Hacker and he could use all the funds that had been provided in this card with no problem whatsoever. He didn't even have to think about the fuss that a particularly hectic day of spending may cause due to the nature of the card.

"Thanks."

He smiled when he felt a paper being put in his pocket as he waved her goodbye. She was definitely a cute girl and Adam wouldn't be averse to trying some mindless relationships. But he was pretty happy with what he had now.

He doubted this girl could come close to anything he tasted when he was with Lucia.

"Sir."

When Adam reached the parking, he could see a young man clad in a black suit waiting for him at the spot. He stretched his hand and gave him the keys to a car.

"Oh?"

"The Boss sent me to give you this. She said this was a reward that was long overdue for you."

"Well. Yui always spoils me rotten, doesn't she? Thanks for delivering it to me."

Adam took the key and looked at the car while whistling to himself. It was a Ferrari. Even to this day, the Ferrari was more or less a sign of luxury and status for many. And he now had one, more precisely a 350 GTO, for himself. It was a new model based on the 250 GTO which was a car race that cost around 48 million USD.

The 350 GTO was more of a normal everyday car than a racing car unlike the previous model but the price was no less exaggerated.

"Thanks. Tell Yui that I will take good care of her."

He smiled as he sat in the car and breathed deeply, loud inhales and exhales as he rested his mind, while adjusting himself.

Life was truly a mysterious thing. So much in fact that he wondered if everything that happened to him was somehow some illusion or dream and that he would wake up on his bed or in a hospital not long after…

A few weeks ago, he was just a poor dude who was a hardworking student and wished to take care of his mom to the best of his abilities. A bill to take care of his mom had been so overwhelming that he even nearly fainted.

Now he was walking around with a black card, and rolling in a car that some people would never be able to own even if they worked tirelessly for their entire life

'If there wasn't that whole supernatural bullshit, life would have been perfect right now.'

Sighing, he started the car and nodded in appreciation at the roar of the motor.

Nice clothes, a nice car, a handsome face, and a flower in hand.

He was now ready for the Date ahead.

———

Since he wasn't far from Beverly Hills and was actually flying with the car rather than actually driving in itself, it didn't take long for him to reach his destination.

Walking out of the car and following the main hallway up to the door of the mansion, Adam admired the house of his date once more. No matter how many times he would see it, it would never cease to truly amaze him. Natasha's mansion was quite overwhelming as always and this time, he could feel many presence that were rather powerful even by his standards.

In fact, one presence in particular took his attention. It was a young man, with features rather similar to Natasha. Thanks to the [Eyes of Truth], he was able to realize that it was none other than Natasha's brother.

But, there was one teensy weensy bit of problem here.

Yellow mixed with a hint of red.

This was the color surrounding her brother right now. This translated to wariness that was on the borderline of outright hostility.

'Hum…'

He could guess why this scene took place and why he was feeling such an emotion. But first things first,

"Adam! Catch me!"

Adam sighed as a young girl jumped from the second floor with her arms wide open.

Who else could it be but the ever-troublesome Fedora?

He sighed and sidestepped. Watching as she fell face first on the ground.

"Hey! Why didn't you catch me!?"

She cried the moment she stood up, to which he answered with a blunt voice,

"I wanted to see if you would leave a human-shaped crater."

"Do you think this is a cartoon?"

Fedora could only snort as Adam started laughing out loud at her antics.

(AN: Funny how I had to search things like is it possible to dive in lava or how fast someone die if they fall in Lava. The price of the GTO 250 I gave is real by the way. Obviously, 350 is something I created. I'm not going to lie. I am jealous.)
