From Sidekick to Bigshot

Grandpa Jian, Grandma Jian, Jian Shuxing, Wen Nuan, and Jian Yuncheng got off the plane. They headed straight to the hotel that they had booked beforehand.

This time, the entire family was out together. However, it wasn’t because of business in Beijing.

Rather, it was because Jian Yiling’s birthday was coming up soon.

This year, they wanted to spend time with Jian Yiling on her birthday.

Their little girl was finally turning eighteen years old.

She also remembered the first time Jian Yiling called her grandma. Her voice was incredibly soft and babyish.

In fact, back then, Jian Yiling crossed her arms and ordered her brothers to piggyback her!

Time really flies… In an instant, her little girl was already eighteen years old.

After they arrived in Beijing, Grandma Jian also contacted Jian Yunnao and Jian Yujie who were also in the capital.

They agreed to go to Jian Yiling’s place to give her a surprise.

However, that didn’t end up happening. As soon as Grandma Jian got off the plane, she felt unwell.

No one expected Grandma Jian to faint.

The Jian family quickly sent Grandma Jian to the nearest hospital. The hospital was a subsidiary of Beijing University.

The doctor there told the Jian family that Grandma Jian was suffering from a cerebral stroke. Cerebral strokes were also known as cerebral hemorrhage.

“There’s extravasated blood in the brain. It needs to be removed as soon as possible in order to reduce the intracranial pressure. In addition, you should be mentally prepared. The success rate of this surgery is not 100 percent. And even if the surgery is successful, she may still suffer from after-effects.”

A cerebral stroke must be operated on as soon as possible. The sooner the better.
