Lucy put most of her energy into the search for the Goodman family compass.

The search for the Goodman family compass was a task left by the previous head of the Goodman family.

The previous head of the Goodman family stated in his will that his inheritance would be given to whoever found the family compass.

Until now, the huge lump sum of wealth left by the previous head of the Goodman family had not yet been inherited.
