Zhao paused mid-stride. She drew in a breath and turned her head around. She asked, even though she already knew the answer, “Anything else?”

“Of course!” Zhao Youxi’s face turned black, and she continued, “Father and Mother have asked me to personally come over to bring you home. Since you’ve divorced President Mu, it’s about time to return home, elder sister.”

Zhao Youxi gritted her teeth as she spoke the final words. She literally blurted out those words against her own will.

However, Zhao Youlin did not pay her any heed. Instead, she found her words to be suspicious.

Supposedly, her divorce and not returning to the Zhao family had exactly fulfilled the mother and daughter’s wishes. But, why did the two of them seem to be eagerly looking forward to her going back to the Zhao family?

Regardless, Zhao Youlin would not give in to them and easily fulfill their desires.

As for my father and mother, my mother already died of illness when I was five years old. Meanwhile, those who don’t know you may misunderstand that your jealousy for me is due to the fact that you’re not the daughter of the official wife of the Zhao family and thus, you’re not stated in the family origin!”

Zhao Youlin’s words truly struck at Li Hongyu and children’s Achilles heels.

The Zhao family was one of the great families. Although the family was not as prestigious as the Mu family, they had some foundations. The so-called great families were very particular about their birthrights.

The descendants for each generation of every family had to be registered. Only those who were stated in the genealogy were truly accepted by the family.
