“I will.” Yan Qingsi rested her head on his shoulder, but she could not calm herself down.

Upon reaching home, Yue Tingfeng shouted, “Mom…”

Mrs. Yue popped out of the kitchen — a smile appeared on her face the moment she saw Yan Qingsi. Her eyes were squinted from smiling as she said, “You’re back, it’s hot out there, come here, drink some water. Get some rest before we eat.”

Yan Qingsi walked over and wrapped her hand around Mrs. Yue’s arm. “Auntie, are you feeling better?”

“I’ve recovered fully, nothing’s wrong, I’m just bored at home. Now that you’re home, spend time with me… after you’re done resting, let’s fly out of the country to shop. You don’t have any work scheduled anytime soon, do you?”

Yan Qingsi glanced at Yue Tingfeng and said with a smile, “Yes, the boss… has recently reduced my workload by quite a bit.”

“That’s the way, you’re a girl, why would you need to work that much, on these dog days of summer, it’s hot to shoot. Look, you haven’t been doing much facial care, don’t you dare neglect taking care of your skin just because you’re young.” Mrs. Yue frowned while touching Yan Qingsi’s face.

Yan Qingsi nodded with a smile, “Yes, you’re right. I’ll sleep with you tonight, we’ll do our skincare together.”

After not seeing Mrs. Yue a few days, Yan Qingsi realized that she missed her more than she missed Yue Tingfeng.

The dark cloud hovering over Yan Qingsi’s heart disappeared after seeing Mrs. Yue’s smile and hearing her speak. She was relaxed.

Mrs. Yue said with a smile, “I’ll fix your face tonight, I’ve bought quite a few good products that have yet to be used.”

Yue Tingfeng heard her and became displeased. He called, “Mom, mom…”

“Mom…”

“Mom… before this, whenever I came home, you always prepared everything for me to eat or drink.” Yue Tingfeng used to be the king at home — whenever he got off work, came home from a night out, or back from a business trip, Mrs. Yue would prepare him a glass of warm water no matter how late it was.

But that was no longer the case now.

Mrs. Yue looked at him with a little despisal. “Oh… it used to be just you and me at home, no one would come over other than you.”

In other words, there’s another person at home now, my daughter-in-law! Of course, you’ll have to get in line!

She pushed him while he had a sour face on and said, “Quick, bring out the soup and dishes, Qingsi is hungry.”

Yan Qingsi could not help but feel like laughing. She said, “I’ll go and help bring them out from the kitchen.”

Mrs. Yue pulled her by her hand and took her to the dining hall. “You came back from a long journey, it must be tiring filming outstation, rest well. Aiya, our Qingsi lost weight, Auntie will fix you up well!”

Yan Qingsi smiled and said, “I don’t get Auntie’s cooking outside, of course, I lost weight.”

Mrs. Yue’s heart bloomed after hearing that. She truly felt that it was a good thing to have a girl at home. She could never hear things like this from a brat.

Yue Tingfeng pursed his lips and got into the kitchen by order.
