Zuo Shangchen nodded then shook his head again. His face was full of anxiety and it looked like he wanted to say something to Gu Ruoyun. However, his throat was blocked up and he could not make a sound.

Gu Ruoyun did not leave room for idle chit chat as she placed her hand on one of the bone spurs holding Zuo Shangchen to the stone pillar. She then took a deep breath.

“Evildoer, you must endure this. I will bring you home very soon!”

After Gu Ruoyun had spoken, she pulled forcefully and the bone spur on his palm was pulled out, staining her robes red.

Zuo Shangchen let out a muffled groan. His mischievous features were now entirely white. Who would have thought that this once magnificent and peerless evildoer would reach such a sorry state…

As the last bone spur was removed, Zuo Shangchen could not help but groan once again. His entire being then crumpled downwards, landing coincidentally on Gu Ruoyun’s body.

“Evildoer.”

Gu Ruoyun’s face paled from the shock. She then hurriedly took out another pill and placed it into Zuo Shangchen’s mouth.
