CHAPTER 411

Andromeda ensured she slowed down a bit on the highway, giving Liu Xueyi enough time to catch up but she won and arrived at his house before him.

The clicking sound of the door alerted her of his presence entering the house. She came out of the kitchen, with her appetite ruined at the restaurant because of him and Xie Tian, she needed something to eat.

"Welcome," Andromeda greeted as she made her way towards him close to the door.

Liu Xueyi's lips pulled back in a smile. He opened his arms, welcoming her hug and kiss when her soft lips pressed against his. "You're late," she said after they parted from their embrace.

"I know. I know. I'm sorry."

"No need to apologize. Why don't you take a shower, and I'll cook dinner?"

Andromeda was his everything, his rock, and his support. He buried his face in her hair, inhaling the sweet scent of lavender shampoo.

"I missed you," he whispered into her ear.

Andromeda smiled and turned to face him as she stroked his cheek.

"I know and now I'm here. Anyways bath, you had a long day. I need to check what's on the fire."

Liu Xueyi nodded and watched as Andromeda disappeared into the kitchen. But as soon as she was out of sight, he had a change of heart.

He didn't want to be alone, not even for a few minutes especially with all that transpired today.

He made his way to the kitchen to find her back to him while busying her hands chopping vegetables. He snuck up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close.

"Hey," she laughed, "I thought you were going to take a shower?"

Liu Xueyi nuzzled her neck and planted soft kisses along her jawline. "I changed my mind. I want you to shower with me. And... You had a long day too. You shouldn't be stressing this way."

Andromeda giggled and tried to push him away. "No, I have to cook dinner!"

But Liu Xueyi was persistent. She felt her knees grow weak as she leaned into him. He lifted her chin and his lips found hers again, this time more passionately as he turned her to face him.

Andromeda melted into his embrace, unable to resist him any longer.

They quickly made their way to his bathroom and spent several minutes in the shower enjoying each other's company and the warmth of the water.

Andromeda was unable to resist Liu Xueyi's charm as they cleaned each other off, throwing any trace of her earlier anger away completely.

After a while, they got out and wrapped themselves in robes before heading back to the kitchen. Once done, the table was set and they sat down to eat.

By now she knew she had given him enough time to think all these through.

Now, there wouldn't be anymore waste of time.

"Don't you have something to tell me?" She asked in a soft voice and chewed her ham slowly.

He smiled, he understood what she meant and was okay with anything.

"Umm... Where do I begin?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Andromeda placed a hand on his and looked at him with concern. "How about how you broke up but first what does she wants with you now?"

"Zheng Ying my ex..." He sighed, clenching hard on his cutlery before Andromeda's eyes.

"Xueyi... it's okay. I won't get mad. I promise."

A deep sigh fell off his lips as his eyelids fluttered close. "She has a son," he began but kept his eyes on the plate and not her face.

Judging from her loosened grip on his hand, he knew she could guess what it was.

"My son." He dropped the bomb.

Silence ensued while her brain fought with reasoning. "Did... How long did you know?" She asked, her brows slightly creased.

"Hours ago. I just found out. Believe me, I never lied to you."

She nodded. It was obvious she believed him cause when their eyes met, her gaze softened.

"The boy is sick, and I'm the father." Andromeda's eyes widened and asked abruptly, "What happened to him?"

Liu Xueyi took a deep breath. "I do not know exactly. She threatens to inform my parents that they have a grandson." He scoffed.

"Imagine, I find out about my son via a call and she doesn't want to tell me anything other than that and expects us to meet."

Although he seemed to be handling it well, Andromeda could sense the distress, his pain, his feelings. He had a child yet the younger days were stolen from him and...now she was back.

She pressed his hand reassuringly and rose up to stand beside him.

"What really happened to you two, years ago? Why break up and how come you never noticed anything?"

Liu Xueyi hesitated for a moment. He knew all of this was too much for Andromeda. She loved him and he looked forward to marrying her but now she won't be the one to bear Liu's heir.

"Andy..."

"Honey you pomised me. I want to know everything, please."

Left with no escape, he told her what happened. "Six years ago, Zheng Ying left me. She said she couldn't handle the stress of our relationship and just disappeared. I never heard from her again until today when she visited and contacted me about our son. She's been struggling to take care of him, and she needs my help. It seems."

"I mean why, why now? How bad is the sickness?"

He shook his head. "I have no idea. I just have to see her to know what's wrong."

Andromeda listened intently, her heart breaking for Liu Xueyi. "What are you going to do?"

Liu Xueyi shrugged. "I don't know yet. I want to help, but I don't know if... How can I be a father to a boy who sees me as a starnger? I... I wouldn't know where to start." I'm ready to be a father.

Andromeda gently pressed on his hand. "Shh... You don't have to decide anything right now. Just take your time, and I'll be here to support you, no matter what."

Liu Xueyi squeezed her hand and managed a weak smile. "Thank you, Andromeda. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

"It's nothing. I am sorry I got jealous and added to your burden today. Forgive me, okay?"

Liu Xueyi gave a genuine smile and nodded before pulling her body onto his thighs. "I have forgiven you but I need you."

Their eyes met as they sent a mental signal understanding each other very well.

"Promise me I won't lose you." She let her fears through.

"I promise. You are the only woman for me," he said with sincerity in mind, knowing that he would never be able to find another like her again if she were gone from hia life.

She smiled at him then kissed him softly on lips.

In that moment, all was forgiven between them. The tension that had been building between them for so long vanished with the sweet kiss they shared.

The gentle touch of their lips brought a surge of warmth to their bodies, a feeling of peace and understanding.

The bitterness and resentment that had sparked the argument earlier seemed like a distant memory, and all that remained was a deep and enduring affection.

As they pulled away from the kiss, with their foreheads still touching, they both knew that no matter what challenges life would throw at them, they would always find their way back to each other, with a sweet forgiving kiss.
