CHAPTER 409

Andromeda marched off towards the entrance only to stop when her eyes landed on Xu Fang.

A moment passed, and she wondered if he would stop her but her menacing glare was more than enough to spell she didn't need saving or stopping.

Being wise, Xu Fang lifted both hands in surrender and stepped out of the way. The second Liu Xueyi saw this, he sighed in defeat.

As soon as his eyes met his friend, Xu Fang gave an apologetic smile.

"Fuck that," Liu Xueyi groaned and turned when he felt a hand latch onto his and stopped.

"Stop chasing her. You only bring her hurt," Xie Tian warned.

His brows furrowed deeply. He did not have a minute to spare given that everyone was there and with Andromeda out of his sight it meant going back to square one.

"And since when did I begin taking orders from the likes of you?"

"She's my friend and she deserves happiness," he pointed out.

"And where was she going to get it?" Liu Xueyi questioned rather angrily.

Soon his brows relaxed slightly as a slightly amused smile shone in his eyes when he voiced his next words. "Not with you I suppose."

"Xue..."

"Look around you, Xie Tian. Look at your audience and watch your words."

Taking his advice, Xie Town cast a glance around before settling his gaze back on Liu Xueyi.

"She's mine, might I remind you again and... I think I would give you another piece of advice."

"What?" Xie Tian asked, inclining his ears a bit.

"My sister, Xiao Xin... Don't you have something going on with her?" Xie Tian tried to speak but Xueyi's words beat him to it.

"She's Liu's jewel. Hurt her or make her a laughing stock and not just me but the entire Liu family would be after you," Liu Xueyi enunciated with a slight rise of his chin.

"Is that a threat?"

Liu Xueyi scoffed and shook his head. "The Liu's don't threaten. We actually do. Now back off, Andy's mine."

Without wasting another glance at him, Liu Xueyi turned around. "Andromeda... Wait!" he called out and began his chase.

Watching the lovers run off, Xie Tian clenched his hand at his side, completely helpless as the situation left him tied.

He knew how bad things would look if word circulated. He never wanted to make Liu Xiao Xin a laughing stock or be humiliated.

She deserved better and better wasn't him.

He wanted to be there for her and give himself another try but seeing Andromeda now, it felt as though everything came back full-time.

Running out of the restaurant, Andromeda hurried towards where her car was parked and immediately unlocked it with the remote.

Reaching for the handle, she placed her fingers on it to open it when she realized her fingers were shaking and placed her left hand over it to steady herself.

Her teeth gnashed while she fought back the tears that threatened to spill from her eye socket.

"Mhmm... I... No, stop it Andy, let him be," she fought to get her mind stable and not let everything get to her.

"He had no right. No reason at all to speak as though I was his property when he is the one not holding his words."

She threw her head back and shut her eyes. The tears finally won, escaping the prison of her eye socket and rolling down her cheeks in a hot slide.

"Urrghh... Damn you, Xueyi," she cussed unable to keep her rage and finally let her hand go.

She boiled within... so much pain.

She wanted love, wanted him and nothing more. She never wanted to share. She could be called selfish but she didn't care about that.

A few minutes later, Andromeda's eyes reopened to the sound of feet rushing in her direction.

She knew once that her decision to let out the tears was a mistake and she should have taken off when she could but then... This was Liu Xueyi.

Where could she really run to?

Rather than run, she tightened her hold on her door handle and then let it go as she turned to face him.

"Andy..."

"Stop..." She held her palm in front of her and shook her head. "Just stop it, Xueyi."

"But I..."

"What you did in there with Tian... T-that... It was uncalled for and you had no right."

"I have every right, my love. I have every right to as your boyfriend."

"Then as your supposed girlfriend, I have the right to get mad and walk out on you for what you did. You made a bloody promise to me, Xueyi but what did you do, huh?"

He tightened his lips. She was right but could he let her know his jealousy got the best of him?

"I wasn't accusing you of anything," Liu Xueyi blurted out.

"Sure right, you weren't." She rolled her eyes at him and threw her hands up in the air before letting it fall down to her side. "What the hell?"

"I have been looking for you everywhere I can, Andy."

"Yeah, right after you recalled or finished seeing your lovely ex, right?"

His eyes softened a bit as pain flashed before his eyes. "That's not fair, Andy."

"Not fair?" She let out a pained laugh and stepped forward till she was but a few steps away from him.

Her eyes blazed with fury. How dare he tell her what was fair and what wasn't?

"Not fair, Xueyi?" She repeated, her tone rising as her anger rose with it. "I trusted you and waited but all you did was what, play into the hands of the very woman who wants to take you from me?"

He bit his inner lip and stepped forward as he refuted her words, "It's not like that, Andy."

"Really? Then tell me how it isn't. Tell me why she wants you so bad, she is willing to return now. Tell me everything and not stupid promises of words you don't keep."

"I..."

She shook her head letting her pained smile spread across her face.

"I thought as much. In the end, she always has your heart, right?"

She tried to turn and leave, completely tired of everything but before she could, Liu Xueyi breached the gap between them, caught her arm, pulled her towards him and pressed his lips against hers.
