CHAPTER 179

"Andromeda," Liu Xueyi's lips trembled as he blurted her name out.

Instantly, several heads turned in his direction. His eyes landed on her face, watching as she struggled to open her eyes while her lips moved.

His chest clenched so tight as he stared at her, unable to take a step in her direction.

The shock that overwhelmed him at that moment, left him both speechless and lost.

With one look at her lips, he knew she was trying to call his name and just when he thought she wouldn't, Andromeda did in a weak voice.

"Xu-e-yi."

That was the straw that broke the camel's back.

The second her weak voice managed to call out his name, Liu Xueyi rushed over and lowered himself to his knees before her, as his gaze washed over her, trying to figure out what happened to her.

"Sir, do you know each other?" the second guy asked.

Ignoring his question, Liu Xueyi threw his question openly, "What happened?"

He held her body closer to his as he properly placed his hands on her back and at the back of her thigh, getting ready to lift her up.

"We do not know. We heard her call for help and she fell to the ground. This is the first time she managed to open her eyes," the first guy hurriedly reported.

"Thanks, a lot."

"You know her?" The lady questioned out of concern as she studied Liu Xueyi and the look in his eyes.

He did not hide his pain one bit while his gaze remained locked on Andromeda, letting her head rest on his chest as he rose to his feet.

"Yes. She is my girlfriend."

He lifted his eyes slowly, as though looking away would take her from him, as his grip on her body tightened a bit, before looking at the lady before him.

"I was rushing to meet her up just now. Thanks, I will take it from here."

He gave the best weak smile he could muster at this point at the lady before turning away towards his car.

He did not want to stay there any longer while Andromeda suffered from whatever ailment plagued her.

With each step Liu Xueyi took towards his car door, his eyes remained locked on the scratch marks that tainted her pure white skin.

Each sight before him left him speechless and in pain.

Words could not describe the way and manner in which he insulted himself inwardly for letting such a thing happen to her.

Sensing the help he would need, the first guy hurried over and helped him open the door to his back seat, before stepping away to allow Liu Xueyi passage.

From there, he took over everything, placing her gently on the seats and closing the door as he hurried over to the driver's side of the car and opened the door.

Before entering, he stopped briefly and dipped his head towards them in appreciation.

With that, he got into his car and drove off.

Liu Xueyi's heartbeat increased exponentially as he drove fast away from that area.

Quickly he tapped on his phone screen. "Hey Siri, call Hong Chaoxiang."

"Calling Hong Chai…" He blocked out the voice from the phone and allowed his thoughts to run freely.

His mental state instantly went into shambles at the thought of whatever ailment was affecting Andromeda.

At one point she was fine but he had only left her alone for minutes and went into such a state.

He did not know if it was panic. Whatever it was would definitely not leave her itching and scratching her skin that way.

"Hello? Liu Xueyi," a masculine voice called out from the other end of the phone, pulling Liu Xueyi from his reverie.

"Hello," he exhaled sharply and swallowed hard. "Chaoxiang."

"Yeah. What's up? What's with your breathing?" Hong Chaoxiang inquired.

"I am good," he hurriedly replied, breathing heavily in a rush.

"I doubt that, Xueyi. Something is up. What is wrong? Where are you?"

"On my way."

"To?"

"Wherever you are."

"Calm down. Calm down," Hong Chaoxiang quickly voiced out.

"Can't! She is in a bad shape," he blurted out sharply.

"She? Who?"

"Andromeda. I do not know what is wrong, Chaoxiang. Tell me where you are. I am bringing her to you. Should I take her to the hospital now or?"

"No. I have already gone from there. Except you want another doctor to see her."

"Not good. I do not want another person. Wherever you are hurry, please."

From the way his voice shook, Hong Chaoxiang knew that whatever state Andromeda was in must have been something bad to have the mighty unconcerned Liu Xueyi this shaken by her state.

He was not the best actor for nothing.

He could easily mask any feeling and over time, having such indifferent air around him became his nature as it helped him push people away from him, so as to keep his private life private from the world.

"Fine. Take her to your house. Where I am is closer to your place than the hospital. Hurry, I would be on my way now."

"Okay. Thank you. Hasten it up as well."

"Aye, but first can you tell me her symptoms, let me know if I should get anything extra on my way."

"She is hot. She walked some distance and her body is red. She itched as well and her thighs are full of scratch marks."

"Fine. Alright, I will be there. Just take her home and clean her skin with cold water if you can. I would have suggested a bath to calm her temperature but I am guessing she is not in the best state for that."

"Yeah. She is more or less unconscious."

"Okay. Just use a clean towel in water. I am on my way."

He wasted no time and ended the call, while Liu Xueyi drove faster.

All the while he kept alternating his gaze from the road and the rearview mirror.

Up till now, Andromeda had not yet opened her eyes and just laid on the seat looking tired and almost lifeless.

The sight alone was more than enough to give Liu Xueyi a heart attack but he managed to calm his nerves and concentrate on his driving to avoid any accidents.
