CHAPTER 102 – Forcing Out Her Mischief

Just like Andromeda had planned, Liu Xueyi's gift was sent to him the next day bit with an instruction to unbox it on the day of the fashion show.

More news spread far and wide about the fashion show.

For so many others such as Wu Bai and Beatrice Zhang, they had their eyes bulging out hoping to find a loophole or something to use to get the secret behind Starlight Apparel's new improvement in designs.

"I must get that fashion designer for myself. I know today, Liu Xueyi would not be able to deny the press the opportunity to see who the designer is."

"Is that what you think?" Beatrice asked, keeping her legs crossed.

"It is not just what I think. I also paid some reporters and asked them to instigate the topic so much that he would not be able to escape it," Wu Bai said in an assured manner.

"You may be disappointed. It might be for this very same reason, as to not want you or anyone from stealing this designer that makes him keep her a secret," Beatrice pointed out.

"Of course, but I would. I need my own minion. If not that the stupid Andromeda left, we would not be suffering now."

He dropped the glass cup of wine he was holding on his desk, before settling his gaze on her.

"Beatrice, the press has been on and on with us. Why don't you give me something that stomps the market? I am paying you, you know."

"Honey," she began, getting to her feet as she crossed the space between them, placing her sneaky fingers on his chest. "I haven't been feeling too well and designing had always been stressful for me."

His brows raised up at her. What kind of excuse was that lousy? He wondered.

"Beatrice. Would you still say that when this company goes under?" He pulled her hands from his chest and walked back to his seat.

"I should have begged Andromeda perhaps. I would not be hiding my face in shame now."

"Excuse me?" Her face contorted at the absurdity of his words. "Beg her? Didn't she leave you at the altar? Didn't she throw you out of her house when you paid her a visit? So, what more can she offer you that I can't?"

"Designs, Beatrice. Designs!"

She swallowed hard, his words had hit a strong nerve she always tried to protect with all she had.

Never once did he latch at her because of things like this. Normally, her charms and seduction skills always worked but now?

"No. I do not want this company to get under, Wu Bai. But do not forget we are in this together. My father gave you the money to start this business."

"Start? Excuse me? Beatrice, I had this business before I met you. It has been in my family," he argued.

"It was more or less dead. I received your business. Invested so much in it and got you the designs that trended before you met Andromeda. Your new wonder."

She gestured with her hands, spreading them in the air as though she was pitching a new advert.

"I have been with you for years, Wu Bai. It is not Andromeda you cheated on. It is me," she retorted, pointing at her chest.

"Shut it. You and I were nothing more than business partners. You might have had the money which I loaned, but I did pay you when I rose to the top with way more interest than the capital. Also, it was my ideas that got us this far. Mine."

Their chest rose as their breathing quickened, glaring at each other. "I dated her."

"For your own selfish reasons."

"As did you. You are only with me to keep your position as the top designer of my now well-to-do company. Do you think I am only a fool?"

"Say what you want but you need me as much as I need you. Rather than whining, let's start thinking of reeling in a very good designer. But for now, I would prove my worth to you. Just watch and see."

He heaved out a deep sigh, lifting his hand to massage his temples and ease away from his stress.

She was right. They needed each other. They were partners more or less, but they started with their fling short after he got together with Andromeda.

Unknown to him, she was jealous Andromeda would take her place, so she decided to have a leash on him.

"You know all I want s the best for the company right? I do not want to fight with you."

"And so do I. I need you to start seeing that as well. Do not worry. Invites were dished out to us too. We would play at Liu Xueyi's game and grace the occasion with our presence. What better way than to remind the public of our presence? I had an exquisite outfit made strictly for this."

The mischievous twinkle in her eyes made him sense she had something up her sleeve and for that he was glad.

She usually brought splendid ideas when she was challenged this way, which was why he provoked her.

He did not care how she got the designs, all he knew, was she needed to do an excellent job and back it up. She was good at that anyway.

"Alright. I believe in you. Come to daddy. I want to spank you hard."

Her cheeks flushed at his shameless order but she did nothing to stop his naughtiness. Instead, Beatrice danced to his tone willingly.

This was another spot where she had him do her bidding and the best. She prided herself as a genius in sexual art.

"Is the door closed?" she asked with a wink, rounding up the table to stand in front of him.

He pulled her body closer to his and asked, "What do you think?"

Before she could answer, his hand snaked up her butt and spanked her hard on her firm behind.

"Ouch. Hehhee."
