Emperor's Reckoning

Lyon closed the door and left both of them inside the guest room.
Judsah and the old man principal of the Nirvana School had their thoughts rumbled. They had never experienced such confrontation before, and they never expected such from the Mortal World.
"I'm no longer doubting his strength," said Judsah as he faced the old man.
"Hahaha," the old man laughed, "I never heard you talk like that before."
"Well, I am now," said Judsah with a nod as he looked away. "I've never seen such a being, so strong yet dwell in this world."
"Hidden experts are everywhere," said the old man. "And oftentimes we failed to see it before it's too late."
"Young master Mavis indeed has a scary connection behind his foolish smiles," said Judsah before he looked at the old man thinking. "What's wrong?"
"His strength is no doubt just as you say, however, his character and his vocabularies are anything but vulgar," said the old man.
"You're not going to cancel his employment, are you?" Judsah raised his brows.
"No, I'm not that senile enough to do something like that," the old man chuckled before calming his tone, "It's just that, I wonder if it's a good thing or a bad thing."
"What do you mean?" asked Judsah.
"I'm confused by his question," said the old man.
"Which one?"
"The one where he asked if we knew how to find the seer in Second Heaven," said the old man. "I don't know why called it this old man's wisdom, but that question really put a hang in my thought."
Judsah snorted a laugh, "If he is as old as he looks, then it is nothing but the curiosity of the young. After all, we all yearned for a good read from the seers. Their words might be able to change one's fate."
"Maybe so," the old man still contemplated.
"Perhaps he was missing something, or someone, who knows," Judsah added, "After all, nothing escaped the eyes of the seers."
"Are you sure?" the old man asked, "Do you think there is absoluteness in this world?"
"C'mon, it's the seers," said Judsah, "So far all of them words either have been proven right or are still in the process."
"I hope you're right," said the old man before he sighed, "Though, there is another underlying problem once he arrived."
"The students won't admit him as a teacher?" asked Judsah.
"If they knew where he came from, then yes," the old man nodded. "However, due to prior teachers resigning, they might carry very little hope from the beginning."
"You mean he will have a hard time blending in?" Judsah asked.
The old man looked into his eyes before firmly nodding, "Yes."
Meanwhile, outside the room, Lyon was leaning by the wall before putting up a smile. He opened his crossed arms before leaving away with audible steps that made the two guests stop talking.
He found Graham leaning by the wall across the hall.
"Master," Graham called with his back straightened.
"What do you think?" Lyon asked.
"I'm not a very bright thinker," Graham answered, "You should ask older sister Cecile, she is incredible in this kind of stuff."
"Too incredible perhaps," said Lyon with a wry smile. "However, this is the Second Heaven, and I'm becoming a teacher in a school."
"That's not going to be the first time," said Graham, "After all, you've trained me and the other five."
"Yeah, but I'm sure it's a different situation from that time and now," said Lyon. "I have no idea what to teach."
"You'll be fine, master," said Graham. "Without you, I would have never reached this kind of height."
"That's more like your mother's or father's genetics," said Lyon as he shrugged his shoulder. "Oh by the way, which one is the giant in your family? Is it your mother or father?"
Graham shrugged his shoulder, "I have no idea."
"Oh...."
"Don't worry about them, they're probably dead even before I met you," said Graham.
"Yeah... but, just to let you know, if your mother was the human one, I must say, probes to her," Lyon nodded as he patted Graham's shoulder twice.
Graham snorted a chuckle, "You said the exact same thing back then."
"Hahaha," Lyon laughed before he left him with a wave of goodbye.
Graham smiled.
Lyon entered the courtyard before noting a beautiful woman with brown hair, "Aelina.."
Aelina's brows raised before she turned around. Her face beamed the moment she saw him, "Lyon!" she called.
"Aelina," Lyon smiled as he approached her.
"L-Lyon," said Aelina with a softer tone. "What is it?"
"What are you doing here?"
"Oh nothing, just.. sightseeing," said Aelina. "I want to look for the famed Golden Demoness but, I find her nowhere to be found."
"She is probably in her room," said Lyon. "Ask the butlers, they ought to know where she rests."
"That's... a good idea," said Aelina. "Do you want to come along?"
"Oh?" Lyon raised his brows, "I already met her."
"Oh..." Aelina seemed dejected.
"But sure," said Lyon to her beaming face. "I don't think that meeting her twice would be a problem."
The two of them walked side by side as they walked through the hall. Lyon looked at Aelina noticing that she was fiddling with her thumb.
"Is something wrong?" asked Lyon whose hands were already supporting his lazy brain.
"You know Lyon..." she paused before shaking her head and smiled, "What are you planning to do right now?"
Lyon looked up at the ceiling, "Hmm, well, I'm planning to go to Second Heaven."
"You're going to Heaven again?" asked Aelina.
"Yes..? What of it?" Lyon asked.
"We are really too far apart, Lyon," muttered Aelina as she smiled wryly inwardly.
"Huh? What did you say?" Lyon asked.
Aelina shook her head, "Nothing, I'm just mumbling to myself."
"Are you sure?" asked Lyon.
"En," Aelina nodded before she crossed her hands behind her back.
"Oh really? I thought you said that 'We are really too far apart' or something like that," said Lyon.
His words sent a jolt inside her body as her toes crawled immediately. She looked at Lyon with quivering lips as her face radiant the same color. Her hands were shaking and her eyes were on the verge of tears.
Lyon smiled before he made a burst of laughter, "Hahaha!"
"That's mean!" said Aelina before she followed him.
Karina was waiting inside her room before she heard the door was opened. She turned around to see Lyon and slightly raised her brows at the sight of Aelina.
"Princess Aelina?"
"Please Golden Demoness, Aelina will do," said Aelina.
"Then you have to accept my request as well, call me by my name," said Karina with a smile.
"Agreed," Aelina bowed.
Karina nodded, "Thank you for your help back then."
"Oh no, I didn't do anything significant during the assault," said Aelina as she shake both hands in denial.
"Haha, don't be ridiculous," said Karina. "You're presence and your effort in tending the weak and injured, worth a thousand praises. Without you, the casualties might frighten the future generation."
"Ah..." Aelina couldn't say anything back after she was put on a pedestal by her words.
Karina smiled before darting her attention toward the man standing beside Aelina. "So, how did it go?"
Aelina looked at Lyon before the latter answered, "Look's like the stars were aligned, too much in fact."
"Oh?" Karina raised her brows.
"In Second Heaven, there will be a seer visiting and doing some reading of the fate or whatever," said Lyon.
"What? Are you serious?!" Karina raised her brows.
"I am," Lyon nodded, "There will be a seer coming to Second Heaven, oh, and also, I might become a teacher there."
"You what?!" Karina asked.
"Lyon, are you serious?" asked Aelina.
"Hey, what's with your expression here?!" said Lyon with a frown before crossing his arms. "It sounds like you guys cannot believe the situation here."
"I'm sorry Lyon," said Karina, "But picturing you as a teacher is really a challenging feat."
"What? No is not!" said Lyon before he looked at Aelina, "Right?"
Aelina smiled wryly, "I-I'm sure that you would be a great teacher there."
Lyon sighed. There was no denying that expression that Aelina gave him.
"How long are you going to be a teacher there?" asked Karina.
Lyon showed her six fingers.
"Six years?" asked Karina.
"Six months," said Lyon. "This is because the seer would come to Second Heaven in six months."
"I have prepared for anything, but I never thought that you would be a teacher," a familiar voice came from the hallway before the figure entered Karina's room.
"Cecile," said Lyon.
"This is a wild one," Cecile smirked, "You're going to become a teacher, I'm sure you take it?"
"Well yes," Lyon nodded.
"Great! Because you might find that pill that strengthens one soul," said Cecile. "And we won't have to sneak around just like in the Alchemy Union."
"It was me who sneaked around, me alone," said Lyon.
"Forget about the details, what's important is the present," said Cecile.
"Hey!"
